I’m loving the solo runs! It makes me feel brave enough to do a solo run myself (then I get too scared and quit...)
I've been playing with my BF for a week and still don't have the nerve for a solo run! I'm such a chicken.
Honestly, a solo run isn’t that bad! I am normally terrified of paranormal games, but got over my fear quick after playing 2-3 rounds. Although, I still run from my pc when it’s hunting 😅😂😂😂

@@Venttex What was funny, was you were asking it to give you evidence, and then when you stared at the book with the flashlight (I know you were looking at the thermometer) but while your flashlight was focused right on the book, it did a thing, like even the ghost was saying "hey, read my poem! don't ignore me!"

A part of me was raging about you not taking the free money photographing the fingerprints in Carol's bathroom but then I remembered that you're loaded in game and don't need the extra cash.
Oh man, that ghost writing was on the book for so long, when you opened the journal after checking for orbs, and it wasn't in there, I started laughing like "oh no, he didn't see it. OH HE REALLY DON'T SEE IT" and then you stared point blank at it, and got the hiss which distracted you perfectly xD

@@Venttex Maybe "Behavior Only" You only can use the tools: Crucifix, Salt, Flashlight, Photo Camera (Not Video), candles, and etc that doesn't lead to DIRECT evidence. Pretty much Secondary Evidence only. (If you did this, I'm new to your channel.

I'm still new to the game (level 1) but watching you solo these even when you were level 1 gives me so much confidence that I can do it by myself and try not to freak out too much. I guess the hardest thing for me would be trying to locate the ghost without the thermometer but I'm gonna try! But thank you for your videos, I'm binge-watching them right now.

I like the suburban homes: Tanglewood, Ridgeview, and Edgefield the most. I guess part of it is because they're "easy" and I'm a bit attached to them from when my friends and I mostly stuck to those when we first started out. But really I like the cramped atmosphere and the idea that you're ghost hunters coming in to solve an extant problem: this entity has wreaked havoc on someone's life and uprooted a family who lived in this residence until recently, possibly even hurt or killed a person here and now you've been called in to deal with the issue. It raises the stakes compared to a group of ill-advised paranormal investigators going out of their way to fumble around in the dark of some abandoned high school or asylum that no one really cares about and is probably best left forgotten :P
When it comes to the farmhouses, they feel like something in between the suburban homes and the big maps. They have a nice, eerie atmosphere to them. I prefer Grafton from a gamer's perspective as it's easier to navigate, but I agree that Bleadsdale has it beat in terms of aesthetics by a long shot.
The asylum and high school are what I classify as the "big maps". I like them in small doses. The challenge they offer can be rewarding when all is said and done, but it can be frustrating when you're wandering around in the dark for 10-15 minutes calling out for the ghost to give you a sign XD Especially when you're like me and have a terrible sense of direction.
Hopefully my vids can help you in finding them faster in the bigger maps! Listening is key!
@@Venttex That's actually something I started doing after watching your vids. I didn't know that you could call out for the ghost to give you a sign or use the "Where are you?" until I started watching you.
I've absolutely had more success locating the ghost rooms since then -- particularly on the larger maps -- though I'm occasionally still sabotaged my natural lack of anything resembling an internal compass :D
Just need more practice is all!
I love how he just sees the ghost and is like not even caring but you watch people playing on the lowest level and they freak out after seeing the ghost

I fall into that category. Some people are just more prone to being afraid of ghosts and such than others. I daresay those of us that DO scare easily in the game have a somewhat different experience lol

It's definitely helped me locate the ghost better/not be so spooked by noises and interacting with the ghost.
I've heard that Bleasdale(sic?) Farmhouse is very buggy, and I've seen evidence of that being true with the ghosts and evidence on that map. The ghost tends to get trapped in the attic a lot.

Respect for recording in one sitting, seen other people post videos of similar challenges but it was very obvious they re rolled repeatedly until they got optimal spawns. Also I've had luck with the crucifix objective by placing it in a corner of a spawn room, trigging the hunt and then running into the corner. Dirty water is the one that always screws me over. When I don't need it, they're filling 4 sinks in a row, when I do they could spawn next to a sink and never touch it the entire game.
Hope the new maps drop soon. Looking forward to you running those.

I like the regular suburb houses because they remind me of the conjuring 2's house and my own house which just adds to the layers of fear
And also because of how non horror esque they are it gives chills good
You have the biggest balls and I know I am wrong, but I swear I get hunted more often than you do in my easy rounds lol. Maybe I move around too loudly idk. Wrong about being hunted more often not the balls.

Hey Ventrexx, discovered you earlier this week, commented on one of your other videos... but I finally tried to do solo hunting. I'm new, (level 11 now), and I had a daily challenge of completing 3 contracts and another of discovering ghost types. I'm at work so I had to go solo and it seemed doable after watching your vids. Still have yet to die, and haven't guessed a ghost wrong yet. Keep up the great content...

My favorite map is probably one of the houses. It’s easier to find the ghost plus way more intense when the hunting phase starts due to the lack of space to run and hide.
I'm watching this because I need to know what I'm doing, atm I'm playing solo while waiting for my buds to come on and as a newb I'm totally lost. 😂
It's definitely letting me know what to expect and what to do, atm I'm on amature missions and I'm bailing as soon as I hear a sound cuz I'm a giant puss! 😂

Asylum's probably my favorite map, not just because it's hard, but the sound design in it is great. That closed in echo it has is really good for making you feel small and alone. Phasmophobia has really good sound design overall, and asylum exemplifies it best.
Phasmophobia's sound design a pleasure! The way your voice in the chat is distorted by echo or using the radio really helps with inmersion

tbh I find the school and asylum the least scary solo maps
by the time you figure out where Thomas Thomas is hanging out you've been in there so long the edge has worn off, and then when he gets pissy you've got a whole-ass complex to lose him in
I get much more freaked out in those little claustrophobic maps. nowhere to run, only a few places to hide...
I yet to understand how anyone thinks “ah I’m gonna go solo”. I’ve played solo twice. Even though it scares me to the point I hear my heart pounding and I shake, I’ll probably get bored and play alone again.

They can hear you but if you're behind a door they cant really get you. Except if its a wriath, wriaths can phase through stuff so turn your light off and stay silent

I just got into this game and I am a lowly level 5... But so far my favorite maps are the Farmhouses. I like them because of the environment and its extra nice when the ghost room is the kitchen.

I think the evidence devices shouldn't be able to flip when you put them down yourself. Allowing the ghost to kick things over is still fine and dandy but I've also had a hard time making the EMF reader land correctly.
What I've found with the EMF is to crouch, and then throw it OUT, not down. If you throw it straight down it usually flips without fail

I'm still in the phase of only wanting to explore during the 5 minute grace period when I'm solo and then bailing cause I'm very timid when alone.

I love solo runs. I admit I was scared but I have completed two successfully runs. The thing that scares me the most is dying and losing my gear. lol I hope they update the game so you can carry more equipment with you. I would do the larger maps alone if they did that. I hate how you can only carry 3 items. It should be more items you can carry. I hope they add in more ghost hunting gear, equipment, levels and entities. Maybe even add ghost removal missions.

Saying the name and then asking questions doesn't work, it gets angered by the first command, so the questions get ignored. Only say the name to anger them. Only ask the questions if you want answers.

Tanglewood is my favorite map. Easy in, easy out. Small, so you can find the ghost room faster.
