Matthew - mang0 Swedish was only hype Bc of mang0 come back, it was kinda sloppy melee for a while. It was clear that when mang0 started to put in effort, Swedish had no chance

It’s not a melee specific thing. Honestly sm4sh had a set just as hype if not hyper than this. Not disrespecting this set cuz it was pretty hype but Elegant be Mkleo was tbh a little hyper than this (it was actually 2 sets that went to game five and each game was last his last stock)

fox dtilt at 0:35 misses because of the slight FOD slant changing the angle of the hitbox

been watchin alot of ultimate. thinking to myself "yeah some characters move pretty fast in this game. so fun to watch" then get this video recommended "oh yeah, i forgot" lmao. embodiment of hype and dedication this game. nice to see leffen's ultimate detour didn't make him lose too much of his edge.
bonzwah1 it’s too bad, ultimate could’ve been so good while also being a different game from melee. Still good, just doesn’t have that timeless feel that melee has

@@rumfordc Mods can't fix input lag. Just mod Melee instead tbh
@@TeeKayDee i think in this case they actually can. a huge amount of what feels like input lag in ultimate is just the game buffering inputs for too long, combined with slow animations. by removing the buffer and speeding up certain animations the perceived lag should drop considerably, and be reduced to just the traditional controller + rendering lag that you get on Wii mods like project m

It was normal cc shine, marth up b hit with the back hitbox so it pushed leffen off stage

@@WookieChoi works because zain didn't horizontally sweetspot the ledge properly in this instance. I think Leffen has gone for this setup in past sets as well.

If you want frame data it'll all be exported and saved by Slippi anyway; just enjoy the set - I didn't even notice the frame drops until I read this

@@appleormac slippi is sort of a mod, it doesn't modify the game at all but it does parse the code from it and send it over to dolphin. think of it as more of an add-on than a mod. still not really that convinced that nintendo cares though.

Not sure what year you think it is, but Leffen is very well liked these days and is just straight up one of the greatest to ever touch the controller and the best fox of all time, and it's not even debatable.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Chillin's commentary. Has he gotten better recently or is it just me?
Leffen not playing at his best, but he really took advantage of Zain by game 4. You could really feel how much he wanted to win, and he put his heart into staying alive.

I've only started watching Melee very recently. Can someone explain to me why Leffen rolls up from the ledge at 14:49? Wouldn't he have taken a stock if he remained on the ledge?
Not sure but it seems like he thought Zain wasn't gonna go for the ledge immediately like he did. Zain still had the option to side b stall, and Leffen could have punished the up-b following that side-b with either a quick ledge hog or downsmash I think. It was kind of a 50-50 situation and Zain guessed right on what Leffen wanted to do. At least, that's what it looks like haha

This Melee, this gameplay is delicious! The back and forth, the high level plays, the combos! Everytime Zain got a grab my heart stopped! Game 4 & 5 Leffen is my favorite Leffen. The movement was crisp and precise. I fucking popped off and I'm still at work!

To me it seemed like Lef wanted it more. Zain is arguably more talented, but with Lef you know that he always brings that full dedication for the win effort. Which also makes him look like a jerk, but whatever. And its not like he sux, because skill-wise Lef is actually a genuine elite player too (obviously).
