crazy fair at 22:40 zain must have been holding asdi up from when he got knocked down because the sdi would be unreactable (unless he got the most precise timing read on leffen's jab)
playing next to the player is a whole different experience, I was sad when the two tv's became the norm :(

unless you're asking whether it's supposed to happen, yes it can happen if you time your side b correctly, like he did here
Don't listen to suw, it's something almost no marth ever does even though it's "optimal" at that distance, Zain has just practiced vs Sheik a crazy amount
Keep in mind that if they throw out needles close to you and expect you to parry it, they get a free aerial after your move comes out. Zain knew he could get away with it in that position.

@Morph Ball Yeah lol, I for sure agree with you that Zain-Cody at GENESIS is the most competitive set Zain's had so far this year (even including LACS 4) but that was winner's semis of not-Pound :)

Very controversial game, Leffen was justified when Kodorin also had the same issue, but he says something only after Zain took a stock during the second game. Leffen says it started during the first stock but I think it was right at the start of the second game? Not sure if he meant that, regardless sucks that it happened.

I don't know what happened in game 2 with all the technical difficulties I realized a lot of the melee videos have had small or noticeable technical issues but all in all good game I hate to see that due to the tech issues that Leffen maybe lost some steam

I'm not typically a leffen fan but thats actually rude af of the commentators at the end there. if you're playing hot then something like your crt stopped working and steals away all your momentum, its going to tilt you going forward regardless.

I don't understand in game 2 why they had to restart as Zain had a clear lead. At the very least, they should have picked off exactly at the stocks and percentages they were at

You want to track which moves were in the staling queue while you're at it? It's more convenient to just restart the game plus if there was actually an issue with the CRT then it would have also been unfair to Leffen to keep playing a game already affected by technical difficulties. It's really unfortunate what happened, but at least they didn't restart the whole set
It’s because leffen was losing supposably to a variable outside of his control. Why would Zain want to ruin the sets validity over 1 stock.

God this commentary was fuckin horrendous. They are literally just saying what we can all see. Sometimes they say random things that add nothing. Look they're at 58 and 85% damage, palindrome percents. What? Why say that? and they missed so many little things. They couldn't have gotten like June and Rishi to provide analysis?
They did that earlier in the tournament, too. "69% and 96%!" Like that matters at all. It's pretty bland color commentary. They might as well call out that there are stars in Whispy's branches.
It wasn't bad commentary, but has some room to improve.

Commentators can either contribute to the gameplay on screen with insight or contribute to the entertainment value of the stream with banter. I feel like the people who run supermajors are asking the commentators to do neither
