Imagine this concept but maps designed for different characters. Characters like Sheik, Sonic, and the spacies would be really interesting for this

This is by far one of your best videos, it has everything, frustration, curiosity, rage, fear, scare jumps, relief, accomplishment sensation… what a work of art guys👏🏻
For me, it was just frustration. I stopped watching 2 minutes in. But to each their own. I respect their commitment, but I won't entertain it. For my own sake.

Smash should include modes like this, kinda like Race to the finish but more complex, because basic platforming in Smash is really fun.
It'd be cool if we can setup custom modes we can share with other players, like an Event Mode from Melee but player made.
This was a fun concept really well executed. Looking forwards to seeing cFive's Only Up stage for Vyq!

I'm surprised the cape didn't get much use, is it really that useless with the longer horizontal jumps? I think Jiggs would make an interesting character for extreme distance traveling, with shield breaks, roll out ledge boosts (slopes anyone?) and pound spamming. Ness would be highly technical, with his hard to use recovery, and you can get extra zesty with pk thunder puzzles and forcing the use of Warps mid recovery paired with pk thunder to really make some interesting puzzles to reach the top. Maybe Sora with some lava puzzles and his ridiculous air time?
That was actually more entertaining than the original games IMO. The fact that it was designed by you guys really adds some spice to it as a viewer.
This is an AMAZING mod idea. It'd be next level to see each character get something like this, but unique to their specific abilities

I LOVE how the paper platforms were placed in such a way to point to the next platform.

you could for some things -- needing precise launch angles or tight walls so you can't accidentally sticky a wall
I think if one was made for Snake, it would work better as an Indoor Map, with Puzzles using his guided missile, with some areas where he needs to get across a gap, with Lava overhead, so he cant just float up and across. Just really modify it to the specific character's strengths and weaknesses.

This is cool, i expected it to be all the same kind of thing - mario jumps, double jumps, air dodges and maybe there's a wall jump sometimes, but the different sections were nice and varied
Even with the many movements of Smash, I still felt the anxious points of Only Up for landing and falling, superb Doods
This was a great video and I appreciate all of the effort that went into making the viewing experience the best that it could have been with this concept.

I loved that I got to vicariously play through this rather than actually play it. Can't wait to see someone speedrun it.
I know that due to the limitations of the equipment, you couldn't really afford to make too many misleading paths or "cheats" with the bouncing and whatnot, but it'd be awesome to see what the community could add on top of your existing work here.

Just for funnies can you test this stage with by breaking Jiggly's shield? Just hold shield until it pops.
I'm curious if you'd actually reach all the way. I'm pretty sure it's part time based so you don't permanently get stuck on a ceiling if your shield breaks below a ceiling

This was awesome! I'd love to see more of these "Only Up" levels tailored to different characters. It'd be really interesting to see it for the ones that have really bad movement options like Bowser or Incineroar or for the characters with hard to control up-B's like Ness and Steve.

They're probably disallowed to make it easier to sub out characters for future episodes.

The W was originally for Wario, since a computer controlled Wario would appear, chase you for one minute, and attempt to grapple-throw you off the platform.
They should make it a second player trying to sabotage

this but its a ness course... you could force weird pk thunder patterns to get rocket off, even force ness to fall a bit to fit into weird nooks, wall bouncing. It'd be cool.
