We were in Salzburg a couple of weeks ago. I’d say the three days/two nights we spent were not enough. Like you, we’d like to go back in the Spring to do more extensive exploring. Thank you very much for sharing your experience. Your video was very nice indeed.

@Blue_Sarong thank you so much! We completely agree with you, three days would be better for visiting Salzburg and the surrounding area. There are so many places to see and springtime, we assume, would be a lovely time to visit. 🙂

I recently visited Salzburg and I had an amazing time. I will definitely return, because I couldn’t visit all the places that I wanted to.

    things to to:
    - castle hellbrunn
    - untersberg (cable car)
    - walking the mönchsberg (e.g. starting on one site in the old-town and enjoying the nature and the gorgeous views on the city. then go down at the site of müllner bräu with one of the biggest beer gardes and nice monastery interior to drink a beer)
as one who live in salzburg, i could add a lot more stuff with avoiding tourist traps (you obviously felt into). sadly experience shows that most tourists just want to hurry through a city to take a few pictures. time is usually more important than the experience.
spending less then at least 3 days in cities like salzburg or vienna is a lost opportunity since there is also so much to see in close distance to salzburg like the königssee in berchtesgaden, the salzkammergut (one can spend at least one week just there), the bigges icecave in the world in werfen and much more.
i am sorry the weather was so rainy.

Thanks so much for your comment. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place and we couldn’t agree more that we should have spent more time there! Hopefully we will in the future and on a sunnier day. Although saying that the rain didn’t really bother us that much. We were well prepared for it knowing there was a strong chance traveling in the winter.

@@worthytravels Yes! I was afraid with your answer. You know, in 2022 I spent 11 days there. I walked a lot! In both sides of the city. From my hotel to Hellbrunn Palace walking. I knew almost the main churches of Salzburg. Well, thanks a lot!

@@DanielSilva-cf8ri Wow! 11 days! Their churches are so breathtaking, if it weren’t for the fact that we were running out of time, I would have stayed longer at those two churches we visited. Thank you again for your comments! Wishing you the very best!

Just came back (home to Stockholm) from Salzburg.
I stayed for three nights, or for about 65 hours to be precise.
    - First evening (arrived at about five a clock) i just wandered around and took in the sights and place.
    - Second day i spontaneously decided to walk to the border river with Germany surrounded by mountains. A very scenic walk. I really enjoyed sitting by the river in the warm sun with my feet in the cold river within hearing distance from the germans on the other side of the river. After all, how often can one simply walk to another country?
    - Third day i explored the castle Hohensalzburg and saw a consert in the Mirabell palace
What i didn't do is go up Untersberg by cable car, as it was closed for it's yearly maintenance in april. I really enjoy views and being high up. So if/when i go there again i'll go up there. Also, i want to see the inside of Mozarts birthplace again and see a few museums. I haven't seen Mozarts home since i was 7 years old. And i should probably rewatch "Sound of Music" to see the city from that point of view aswell. The city is completely walkable, but doesen't, in my opinion, feel small. I love Prague, and Salzburg feels a little bit like a cleaner, spring colored, lighter version of Prague. Both with castles and cobbled streets. Also beautiful to visit in april, but with weather like during the warmest july. In short, i second the videos recommendation of visiting Salzburg :)

@remember-when-in-doubt… Thank you so much for your amazing comment. I will definitely try to replicate what you did in Salzburg when we return. It is such an amazing place to visit and it feels like we’ve only scratched the surface as far as fully exploring the area. Oh, and by the way, Adrian and I love your home city: Stockholm! We were just there last February and we had a blast! Please stay in touch!
