Quick tip for the lone middle bumper! If you look at the controls on the right, you'll see that using the left stick then pressing X causes a "Slice" rather than a "Shoot." You can use this mechanic to almost always hit the middle bumper! Pull the left stick down, then just mash X. I find this to work most of the time, and you should get tons more loot now that you don't have to just speed past this stage! Hope I helped for everyone farming their Wind Up Lord Vexxos and other items!
When I came across the first game in chapter 1 I got a Gold Bangle first try, so I actually had that equipped for quite some time before finding something better
Sell these. Zu Beak is MUCH easier to farm for limit break magic. Yes it's less per craft (4 for 1, 5 for 2 or 7 spells for 3 beaks) but you can repeatedly kill the hunt over and over by parking the car in town and camping at the site on the mountain to quickly go back and forth. Just make sure you warp strike the beak wth an effective weapon (my preference is the Rogue Star, but the Sword of the Tall or Mace work as well i believe). to break the appendage before killing the boss. You can also use the Mother and Son food to increase drop rates. Really, really wish there was still an effective AP farm method in the game though, stupid SoJ/Whistle nerf...
I just want to put this out there from someone who has farmed these a bit, even if you do limit break spells, they still only go up to 99,999. It only adds one more digit.
Got 99 by pretty much just smashing X and using the fact that when you select another ball and press square you can have 2-4 balls at the same time. That will help you get through this a lot faster. Watched youtube in the meanwhile, since it doesn't take much concentration. Just enough to makes sure you lose too much health without switching balls. Didn't check how long it took, but I think it was around 30 minutes or so. You can hit the lone middle bumber a lot easier if you press down on left stick and don't use charge.
Yes but the spell is limited to 9999 damage, the Vaxxos from JM5 adds the break damage limit to the spells it creates. He really didn't mention that in the video that I recall.
You are correct, I honestly don't remember what I was thinking about when I made the above comment, the Zu Beak crafted spells are indeed the best option for magic crafting.
When you get the middle bumper you can hold the left analog stick downwards and tap the jump button at either edge of the ramp to keep hitting the center. Doing it on the right side seems to be more consistent for me though.
Hold back on the stick to hit the middle bumper. Maybe adjust a little to the left or right if you barely miss it. If you do it right, you can rapidfire from every position and always hit.
I just got my 2nd Lord Vexus by doing timed quests and TYREANT drop this mid-battle - Shocked & Stunned!!!! Use powerful FIRE spells - its invulnerable to just about everything Except Prompto's Gravishere technique - Good luck!!!
The ones with the bumper in the middle are one of the easiest, actually. Learn to "slice" your ball. Hold the thumbstick down and launch the ball, 90% of the time it will fly straight into the center bumper. Easy-peasy.
I played it for over 1 1/2 hour the first time, I wasn't understanding that you had to hit the bumpers to get prices, was only aiming at the monsters... finally paused the game, and looked a bit online about it. Felt really dumb, but decided to go for the 99 chests, so got celestiad on my first game of JM5. :p
Been farming Zu beaks for limit break magic.. easy enough to hit 999 potency with about 17 spells at your disposal (with possibly more if you spent AP on the extra casts) ..And if you want to go all in, there's magic+200 accessories to be found post-game. just take care not to wipe your party, the absurd amounts of magic also gives extra oomph to the lovely bow of the clever + overwhelm combo... albeit i wonder if that's even viable when you get that far into post-game
BC + overwhelm will always be viable haha, the invincibility frames are great, just don't use it in Costlemark post-game without Grand Chamberlain equipped.
I'm on chapter 10 and completed all of the hunts including adamantoise plus all of the ruins except the pitious ruins so I'm wondering if the limit break magic would benefit me at this point. i know there are only a handful of hunts left after chapter 14 at meldacio hq so would I need limit break magic for them?
i completely dozed off when i was trying to farm this thing, now i think zu beak would be better, at least it's easy to get to 999 pot, and you get money and AP and zu tender so that way i think it's more efficient, but i do need to farm the dark matter bracelet...
Aye, wind up lord vexxos seems a bit dumb since it gives 54 casts but only at 191 potency. I had 99 Zu Beaks (took about 6 hours - I bypassed going back to the tipster everytime) and it gave me more than 100 casts at 999 potency
One of the most boring, repetitive mini-games ever in an RPG... sitting there like a braindead zombie hitting one button and pushing down on the left stick for hours is the opposite of fun.
Found the person who never got the ultimate weapons in FFX, and didn't get KOTR in VII. Square has gone soft on you compared to some of their old torture device minigames.
What makes you assume i haven't done these things? I've been a fan of the series since the early 90s and played through every Final Fantasy at least once, almost all of them at 100% completion. And i still think Justice Monsters V is a boring slogfest of a minigame. If you liked it, good for you. I didn't. :P
I didn't love JM5 but compared to almost any of the FFX ultimate weapon unlocks a mere 3-4 hours to farm as much BDL magic as you'll need to play through the game twice is pretty light IMO. Took me over 8 hours straight to finish that hellish balloon catching race in 10. And while I have a huge sentiment towards 7 the chocobo race is far more mindless than JM5 and you have to do a lot of it to get the gold bird. How many hours do you spend farming turtles in 13? I just assume anybody complaining about some grindy mini game to get powerful effects is a rookie to the FF franchise because that's been pretty much expected for the last 20 years. Oh and what's really nice is it's totally optional since there's many other methods to gather BDL magic.
you forgot the reward list in the description:)

Same :)
PSA: Hold the left analog stick towards the bottom and shooting the ball will always ensure the ball hits the middle bumper.

This is really good idea to farm Gil. It takes on average 42 minutes to get one Vexxon, like I talked about in my video on the 500 000 gil farming.
I just want to put this out there from someone who has farmed these a bit, even if you do limit break spells, they still only go up to 99,999. It only adds one more digit.
Hold the left stick down to hit the centre piece, it's way quicker than charging and hitting the left and right pieces
You can use tech of the other monsters when they aren't in play. This will cause a multi ball effect making things way easier.
Keep doing videos Happy! You're awesome! Plz never quit RUclips!

nice man but the zu beak seams much better and less time consumption and if you collect just 10 of them you have 17 spells and 999 potency

Aaron Hill that's just visuals effects but it really dose a major damage i killed naglfar in just 3 min with the zu beak
Zu beak also does limit break.

this video was right on time. I figured I just farm playing jm5 for the day
if you hold down on the thumbstick while shooting for the middle bumpers it'll hit it no problem.
press down on the left analog stick and tap x and you will hit the middle bumper every time.
ehi mr happy the reward list is missing

I've been at this stupid game for over 2 hours and only have 85
i completely dozed off when i was trying to farm this thing, now i think zu beak would be better, at least it's easy to get to 999 pot, and you get money and AP and zu tender so that way i think it's more efficient, but i do need to farm the dark matter bracelet...
why is it called Justice Monster 5 when there are only 4 Justice Monsters?
BlankTom
There are more than four. The game randomly selects which characters you get each time you play.
Does the cast number multiply if you stack these?
Question: What is the point of having 500k gil? Saw nothing expensive like that in the game.
Ludger Kresnik
There’s that food in Altissia that costs 300,000 Gil. It also costs about 300,000 Gil to buy 99 of all of the healing items.
Mr happy have you tryed to combine magic with platinum ingot
how do u combine items?
Farming Zu is much more entertaining, and will yield higher potency stuff. Informative video though. Nice work.
Aye, wind up lord vexxos seems a bit dumb since it gives 54 casts but only at 191 potency. I had 99 Zu Beaks (took about 6 hours - I bypassed going back to the tipster everytime) and it gave me more than 100 casts at 999 potency
well my good sir, you got a new subscriber..XD
I actually liked it so i might just grind it a second time... and third...
Nahh, I'll just farm the the adamantite item
Rewards list please
google it dude are you that lazy?
To be fair he did say in the video that there would be a prize list in the description
I hate the minigames :\

I quitted FFX once I learned how to get the ultimate weapons... It wasn't worth my time...
First time? Three hours. Second? Less than an hour. Barely. We need a new way to farm this crap
