The Fuel live cover's a pretty early live show for her, and she's really not really singing in her natural way. It's not always easy to perform to people you look up to. Especially at 18 years old. I'll admit that I like the cover, and the first two Lavigne albums are some of my all time favourite albums. (so I'm a bit biased, but aren't all fans? :D )

Enter Sandman by Weezer We Didn’t Start The Fire by Fall Out Boy (I already hate the original and I’m a DIE HARD Billy Joel fan) Last Resort by Falling In Reverse (stop with the trailer core covers) Gone Away by FFDP (see point above)
Tantric wasn't even specifically planning to do a cover of The Chain. They couldn't collectively agree on what song to cover, so they decided to turn on the radio and cover whatever song was playing.
I regret to tell you this but not only has Motley crue been doing anarchy in the uk on their recent tours but it's been a frequent staple of their shows since its release
That's not even the worst cover U2 did. At least, just imo. I hate their rendition of "Paint It Black" even more. That attempt at "Fortunate Son" is pretty bad regardless.
I only know two of these covers so I’ll only comment on them. The Limp Bizkit cover of Faith, I quite liked it when I first heard it although it doesn’t get many plays these days… And Avril Lavigne covering Fuel was ok apart from the start, she doesn’t have the vocal power required for the “Gimme Fuel” opening.
To be fair, Tantric were forced by their label to put a cover on the album. They decided on The Chain since they liked Fleetwood Mac. It's not the worst cover but it certainly was odd.
That Aerials cover from MGK is still one of the worst things I've ever heard, like I'm a huge SOAD fan but that version is still absolutely cringeworthy as hell...
As much as I love Rob Zombie, his cover of Black Sabbath's Children of the Grave just completely misses the mark. The original was a rallying cry for the younger generation to push back against cold war politics before it got everyone killed. The cover kept the original lyrics but tried to make it into a B horror movie by adding newsreel audio about cannibalism and the dead rising. The instrumentation sounded good but... God damn.
For fun, a few years back, I did a thrashy metal cover of Somebody That I Used To Know on my iPhone’s GarageBand app. Just messing around. I would never release it, though.
Lyle Workman and Bon Thiele Jr did an amazing job covering 'Fortunate Son' on the soundtrack of Sons of Anarchy. No vocals, just acoustic guitars, and it works beautifully.
So did Overscene. Even being a long time fan of All That Remains, I never really enjoyed that cover. I wouldn't call it terrible, but it definitely wasn't great.
To be honest I am actually a huge Eminem fan and i know this is a rock/metal channel but id love if you did a tier list ranking for Marshall's discography
Motley doing Sex Pistols? No. Poison doing Sex Pistols? Everyone's gonna hate me for it, but considering that when CC Deville isn't being a technically competent Johnny Thunders he's being Steven Jones, I think it could work
I am a Garth Brooks fan and, after listening to the cover you mention and State of Mine's version, I realize neither is as rock as the original. Anyone who does "Somebody That I Used To Know" as a solo has real issues... though that could be fun to explore if trying to break up with oneself.
faith by limp bizkit was solid and limp bizkit has plenty of serious songs build a bridge, down another day behind blue eyes (obviously also a cover) my generation etc all that remains version of the thunder rolls was bad and it upset me a band i actually like attempted it motley crue had no business playing sex pistols and i also think it was them trying to cash in.
Honorable mention suggestion: Our Last Night - Surface Pressure It's not enough that Lin Manuel Miranda doesn't have the passion anymore if he's making songs purpose built to be popular on TikTok; we now have what sounds like a trashcore cover band taking advantage of Encanto's obnoxious meme status.
Don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually really like Limp Bizkit's cover of "Faith" - in fact, I've been getting quite a bit into this band in general lately. They're genuinely talented and a lot of fun. Even Fred Durst isn't all that bad, contrary to what most music nerds seem to agree on. On the opposite end of the spectrun, I never even knew that cover of Green Day's "American Idiot" existed before watching this video, but hearing the singer of 5 Seconds of Summer sing the first line of the song made me cringe and that's when I realized this was going to suck. Can I go back to when I didn't know this cover existed, please? Never heard of nor care about the rest, though, other than ARTV mentioning U2's cover of CCR's "Fortunate Son" in his video about the same topic of bad covers. Considering how great the original song is, I don't think I need to hear the cover to realize that the original is better.
Also, another thing the three days grace cover wasn’t all that bad I have definitely heard much worse covers than that. I mean it’s just like children of Bodom doing Britney Spears or something like that once again, we have a similar case to Limp Bizkit here where they have designed a cover to cater to a different kind of audience in a different kind of community. I mean the rock riffs are pretty standard but I mean it’s three days grace I don’t expect them to do these super complex riffs because they haven’t done any really since their first album I liked a lot of their earlier stuff because it was more progressive like, but it was the song that was more simple that got the radio play so they just went with that so with that in mind, it ain’t so bad.
Faith - Idk, cause this seems like a p---- take as much as Nirvana's cover of Sweet Home Alabama. That the label just pushed to stir up some controversy. Thunder Rolls - I honestly just thought this was part of FFDP's endless train of bad covers. Anarchy in the UK - *shrug* This is like garage band 101, I've heard so many covers of it at this point that the most standout comment about any of them is its usually not a british person so its nonsensical (Obligatory SLC Punk poser clip here) Somebody that I used to know - You could've told me that was an AI generated cover and I'd have believed it Fortunate Son - I don't think you could find two things more oppposite then the polished and some would say pretentious sound of U2, and the down home folksy barking of CCR. I forgot Tantric existed lol Stuff like the Avril or the Script one feels like an idea someone came up with in a rush and not any actual time to prepare a proper version, or just a quick clickbait idea. Like sometimes it aligns and the bands have actually obviously done it in the past, but a lot of the time it feels like they got ambushed with a "learn this in 2 hours" type deal like those Drumeo vids. Which session musicians like Avrils backing band can usually manage because thats their skillset. That likely holds true for MGK (nothing he's ever done would strike me as the guy to pick that son) but I mean, you're smoking while you're mid singing the song. I don't know the guy personally obviously, but everytime I see any kind of performance from him I'm prettysure he's just a pretty boy trying to pick up chicks who was too stoned or lazy to learn how to play Wonderwalland settled for being a half hearted vocalist instead. For obvious contrast, Post Malone doing Them Bones, also on Stern. He doesn't quite get there and has a lot of backing choir help. but the dude is obviously in the performance, he's had myriad other performances backing up that he probably is actually into this music (like his other Nirvana tribute on youtube), and at least gets the one final scream he does off well (considering the original one probably had some doubling and such on it)
So regarding that Tantric cover, Maverick records demanded they include a classic rock cover to use as a single for their sophomore album. The band was annoyed at the request so they said they'd pick the very first song they heard and it just so happened to be The Chain. I like it. Its like a southern Alice in Chainsy spin on Fleetwood Mac. I don't really care for the original anyway to be honest
I swear, that awful Bad Wolves cover of Zombie needs to be on one of these videos someday. They took that haunting melody and made it into one of the weakest, limpest excuses of a cover of all time.

We Didn’t Start The Fire by Fall Out Boy (I already hate the original and I’m a DIE HARD Billy Joel fan)
Last Resort by Falling In Reverse (stop with the trailer core covers)
Gone Away by FFDP (see point above)
Gone Away by FFDP was on the original list.
@@BurningAzure that’s right. Man I really need to rewatch videos
Seeing Tantric on here, made me remember the two songs that played nonstop! Totally forgot about them.
I loooove Faith by Limp Bizkit 😂 still anoying neighbours, Family and friends with this Version 😂😂
Tantric wasn't even specifically planning to do a cover of The Chain. They couldn't collectively agree on what song to cover, so they decided to turn on the radio and cover whatever song was playing.
Love your video. By the way, you have beautiful eyes!
I regret to tell you this but not only has Motley crue been doing anarchy in the uk on their recent tours but it's been a frequent staple of their shows since its release
I actually love LB's cover of "Faith"
I could watch a clip of the alternating between Wes Scantlin and MGK for 10 hours straight, someone please make a loop of that 🤣🤣🤣
I was really enjoying this but then my car alarm went off….oh no, wait a minute…it was just MGK and Wes. 🤣🤣🤣

Three days grace's version is the first time i ever heard "somebody that i used to know"...i love it
That's not even the worst cover U2 did. At least, just imo. I hate their rendition of "Paint It Black" even more. That attempt at "Fortunate Son" is pretty bad regardless.
I only know two of these covers so I’ll only comment on them.
The Limp Bizkit cover of Faith, I quite liked it when I first heard it although it doesn’t get many plays these days…
And Avril Lavigne covering Fuel was ok apart from the start, she doesn’t have the vocal power required for the “Gimme Fuel” opening.
To be fair, Tantric were forced by their label to put a cover on the album. They decided on The Chain since they liked Fleetwood Mac. It's not the worst cover but it certainly was odd.
And yet when I saw Limp bizkit play Faith at a festival last year, 15000 people sang along with it. We all loved it.
Only thing I don’t agree with is your take on Limp Bizkit and Avril Lavigne, I think those are alright covers
Love the bounce back and forth between puddle of mudd and MGK at the end

That Aerials cover from MGK is still one of the worst things I've ever heard, like I'm a huge SOAD fan but that version is still absolutely cringeworthy as hell...
I'm surprised Aaron Lewis' god-awful cover of Pearl Jam's "Black" didn't make either list.
That ending though…
As much as I love Rob Zombie, his cover of Black Sabbath's Children of the Grave just completely misses the mark. The original was a rallying cry for the younger generation to push back against cold war politics before it got everyone killed. The cover kept the original lyrics but tried to make it into a B horror movie by adding newsreel audio about cannibalism and the dead rising. The instrumentation sounded good but... God damn.
I went to take a look at the cover of Fuel and noped the hell out before the drums kicked in.
I'll admit it, singing the Tantric version of The Chain at karaoke is one of my guilty pleasures.
State of mine did an awesome cover of thunder rolls. Even garth brooks liked it
So did Overscene. Even being a long time fan of All That Remains, I never really enjoyed that cover. I wouldn't call it terrible, but it definitely wasn't great.
I just gotta ask this once. Why is machine gun Kelly famous again?
I don't think Thunder Rolls deserves to be on here. Is it great? No, but its not awful
Saw Motley Crue a month ago. Can confirm they're still playing Anarchy in the UK
To be honest I am actually a huge Eminem fan and i know this is a rock/metal channel but id love if you did a tier list ranking for Marshall's discography
You’d pry have a better time with nolifeshaq 😂
Motley doing Sex Pistols? No. Poison doing Sex Pistols? Everyone's gonna hate me for it, but considering that when CC Deville isn't being a technically competent Johnny Thunders he's being Steven Jones, I think it could work
3:03- That one was bad,the one by State of Mind & Brandon Davis was 100% better.
I have to agree with you on All That Remains version of The Thunder Rolls. However, the State Of Mine version is amazing, especially the long version.
I am a Garth Brooks fan and, after listening to the cover you mention and State of Mine's version, I realize neither is as rock as the original.
Anyone who does "Somebody That I Used To Know" as a solo has real issues... though that could be fun to explore if trying to break up with oneself.
Soon as I saw MGK in front of the Toxicity album by SoAD I was like "Whaat the fuuuck??? -What kind of atrocity did I just see...." omg wow.
faith by limp bizkit was solid and limp bizkit has plenty of serious songs build a bridge, down another day behind blue eyes (obviously also a cover) my generation etc
all that remains version of the thunder rolls was bad and it upset me a band i actually like attempted it
motley crue had no business playing sex pistols and i also think it was them trying to cash in.
The irony is that the LB songs you mentioned have been ripped apart by this channel in other videos
@@Csnich96 i know, thats why i felt i needed to mention them lol.
It’s funny actually cause when Adam was still with TDG. They did an amazing cover of give in to me.
Don't worry Motley Crue's 20/24 tour is just going to be cardboard cutouts of them while their music plays over the loudspeakers😂😂
Coheed and Cambria's cover of Gotye - that's actually quite good.
I found that speeding up the sound on the TDG cover actually makes it sound slightly better.... but just slightly lol
Honorable mention suggestion: Our Last Night - Surface Pressure
It's not enough that Lin Manuel Miranda doesn't have the passion anymore if he's making songs purpose built to be popular on TikTok; we now have what sounds like a trashcore cover band taking advantage of Encanto's obnoxious meme status.
The thunder rolls cover was lit bro 😭
Motley’s cover of Like a Virgin was even worse than the Pistols cover . And as a Pistols fan I found that cover insulting and disrespectful .
when I heard the All That remains version on the radio, the dj actually said "and this is why she shot him" and I knew it was bad.
The only cover I ever heard Avril Lavigne do with interestingly basket case from Green Day. Not sure how to feel about that.
Thank you for reminding me that Faith was the first limp bizkit song and i have vivid memories of hearing it in the car as a child 🤣🤣🤣
As 311 was mentioned discussing that Lose Yourself cover, they have made one of the BEST covers i have heard, Leaving Babylon by Bad Brains
Hearing that American Idiot cover reminds me that i really wanna cover Redundant. Hands down one of the best songs in Green Day's catalog in my eyes.
Anarchy in the UK - *shrug* This is like garage band 101, I've heard so many covers of it at this point that the most standout comment about any of them is its usually not a british person so its nonsensical (Obligatory SLC Punk poser clip here)
Somebody that I used to know - You could've told me that was an AI generated cover and I'd have believed it
Fortunate Son - I don't think you could find two things more oppposite then the polished and some would say pretentious sound of U2, and the down home folksy barking of CCR.
I forgot Tantric existed lol
Stuff like the Avril or the Script one feels like an idea someone came up with in a rush and not any actual time to prepare a proper version, or just a quick clickbait idea.
Damn that 3 days grace cover is brutal on the ears in a bad way
I swear, that awful Bad Wolves cover of Zombie needs to be on one of these videos someday. They took that haunting melody and made it into one of the weakest, limpest excuses of a cover of all time.
