I was lucky enough to witness an eastern blue laying on the timber deck in pouring rain( at night). I have never seen this behaviour before. I don't think she was hunting snails as we don't have many on the deck . I think she was just enjoying the rain. What I'm getting at is,, a little rain occasionally might be a good thing.
Great episode! First video added to my BTS playlist. Man I wish I could have some of Joe's animals here in the US. Incredible work he is doing over there.
well technically we can so long as the animal comes with us to live in the US or you have a passport with the paperwork for the animal. did it once to allow my cousin to have a taste of Australia.
Johnbot & co. gaming that's totally illegal surely? We aren't allowed to export our animals at all. If you move and have Repiles as pets you'd have to sell them before moving.
hi Peter! I love your channel and really watched all of your cool videos! Just started with my first little spotted python (been keeping other snakes for about 15 years), bought it around 10 month old, but still very small about 20 cm….. How much do you feed your babies of those? Is one pinky a week all they need, or can they get 2 or 3 if they want to, to get them growing faster? What would you say? Don´t wanna overfeed him…
But why do you think they are happy in such a small enclosure? I have rabbits and have neighbours with reptiles. Mine are free range, in and out, happy healthy and sociable.
Defenetly knows his stuff, only thing I don't like is the cat food. I like to make my foods from raw meats fruit and vegetables. They love trimmed beef heart
@@Dona-fu9zh lmao, love how y'all think those are humans in a tub. They're not humans, so why don't you stop assuming they agree with what you think is "right". #anthropomorphism
Cool video but the guys a idiot feeding his lizard cat food. I'm pretty sure as a keeper you should always be feeding fresh. Even a large place like ty parks is feeding fresh greens.
Blue youngest are omnivores, however at the first year of their life the need to pack protein to grow, so they are more carnivorous, and cat food contains the guts of the animal, so it’s loaded with protein, then after the first year, it switches to dog food because it contains more veggie
WTF ...Im negative as can't stand any animal in an enclosure unless necessary for protection at night say...yeah he breeds them to make money out of them...a commodity as opposed to a pet.
@@Dona-fu9zh So where would you get one for your beloved pet if others like Joe weren't doing their part (as an excellent and responsible breeder.) He actually keeps quite a variety of reptiles, including one of the most amazing Bell's phase lace monitors I've ever seen.
Thank you. I recently saved a bluetongue and have been looking for this information. He is also a very active lizard so much so that if I put him on the floor like you did he would be gone in a second. I hope I can make him happy
My blue tongue looks like the yellow coloured one you said was albeano project when I first got him i though he might be but normal northern blue tongue can be light too so im confused
Don't agree with the enclosures, although slow moving they do roam covering 7 or 8 backyards...artificial and controlled existence...stopped at 2:40...looks like the whole objective is to breed, make money. They are notably very intelligent creature; evident when young ar so eager to take off virtually just after greeting the world.
How would I set up a rack system for blue tongues in Melbourne with our weather? Would I put heat tape at the back underneath where the bedding is? And what temp should I keep them at?
Hi there. That was fantastic to watch. I have a beautiful amazing large lizard in my garden and I am so happy to be able to protect it now from my pets.
That jet black bts is amazing.
Keith Bridges they sure are
The black one is my wife's favorite. She really wants one. I like the dark one with the horizontal orange markings.

treasurz1 I agree they’re so cuddly and cute
Where can I buy one of them out door enclosures ???
Buy a rabbit cage
I found this video interesting, and his out door cages area are a very simple idea.
Skinks are the best type of lizard
How do we fix the export laws so we can enjoy those beautiful morphs?
Every time I hear an Australian talk about animals I want them to be Steve Irwin.
What a great idea Joe has, we get Blue Tongue's here and I'd love to get one of those backyard pens, where can you get one?
The High Priestess pretty sure these are custom made
Yes they look to be, they are fantastic!
@@CrittaCam What, it is your video, and the breeder Joe informed you his design, so yeah he makes them; 'custom designed' in other words
Great blue tongues, though Joe Ball is a real prick IRL.
what gene species is the abino with the orange on it? and where can i buy it in the future?
5!!!
is that enclosure for sale?
I have a question. Over in the states there's a rumor that people from Australia aren't allowed to own or sell Australian blue tongues? Is this true?
TheMass33 we can own them nut we can not export

Aussie Reptilez so how do zoos do it.
Johnbot & co. gaming zoos have special permits. You can't keep a lion in your backyard but a zoo can
Where's the best place to buy blue tongues in wa/ Perth
Pet store or a professional breeder
Do the babies eat the same diet? I would think they can't eat the hard cat food...
They eat the same diet yes, When there about a Year old, tey them catfood.

If it's eating 2 or 3 it's time to move up to fuzzy mice, and once a week feeding is perfect, the size you said it was is normal for that age
Hi joe do you sell lizards , if so how do we get onev
