If you look at his history he left $198 million on the table to leave Japan to play in America. His mum put him on pocket money to live on, think it was like $4000.00 a month of which he only spent $1,000 per month while he was already earning millions. I just think his motivations are not monetary, he loves the game and a team that can offer him the best baseball experience might just land him at half the price being talked about. If anything a lot more teams in the league might have a better chance to get him if they can come up with the right Baseball first proposal.
