I like when Master Bombardier Enault says " They are not in shape.... they are Nintendo player and computer guy." in his Jean Claude VanDamme voice. lol
Verification was a clusterfuck. I remember the echo in that building and the thick french accent made it so you couldn't understand what they were asking you to hold up to verify, I knew what 90% of it was from sea cadets, but still even for me it was rough, I can't imagine the poor saps with no experience at all! hands-down this was the most clusterfucked part of basic lol.
The kit verification was a total gongshow and was more of a shark attack than anything else. I vividly remember an RCR MCpl from my course screaming "SHUT UP! LISTEN TO WHAT I FUCKING SAY!" before making me do pushups. Don't remember what I did wrong at all. And, like you said, they always pick the hardest-accented Franco to shout it in that damn echoy drill hall. You don't hear anything, you probably don't know what a "Gabardine" is yet, there's a MCpl kicking your stuff. Great times!
"I'm not going to yell at you. I could hurt my voice and none of you are worth injuring myself. What I will do if you piss me off is punish you physically until you get hurt and go to TRP. Don't jump out a window. Fuck that was funny last time." - Master Bombadier Siletta Lol he was awesome
I remember kit issue like it was yesterday... back then we were issued "WORK DRESS" and fitted for "CF's"... CF's were issued on Week 4. We were not issued "COMBATS" until the week before Granville - The field training and ranges.
just passed the only thing that wouldve held me back (medical) hoping to be sworn in by the end of the year appreciate these videos! its how im preparing for basic. Already hitting the gym for cardio and to build upper body strength.
Which branch are you joining brother? I went for my medical and interview earlier this year for Army Infanteer, and I’m just waiting on my call up, best of luck!
Why so much gear? When I went through, no one got issued helmets. That was for the pongos after boot camp when they got to battle school. Why would a stoker need to be issued a steel helmet in boot camp? Our barrack boxes sat at the foot of our bunks the whole time and were empty.
They're sorting them by their element (air, sea, land) and sex in order to make sure they get the right kit, since air sea and land all have different kit.
@@lennysrubber_boots1908 no its actually has softened up a bit they are eventually going to do 8 weeks instead of 10 weeks and possibly removing some certain exercises as well
Someone needs to sort out that air force instructor on how to properly wear a beret. Insulting to the CF and embarrassing to have someone like that training our troops. Attention to detail is what saves lives in the battlefield.

That was the highlight of the episode
man this platoon is getting destroyed compared to the first seaon LOL my god..

The Master Bombardiers I had were the best instructors. Heart, humanity, humour.
agree, I had one MBdr Connaughan from RCR, he was amazing and treated our platoon well in SQ.

I went through in 1990, this looks like a cakewalk. OMG the Army has gotten soft.
Went through in 99 and this looks like a paid vacation compared to what I went through
And it’s only getting worse…….
Not really, they are only filming and showing bits and pieces...cause if they showed the brutal stuff no one would join.

@@Ivan-vo6yz I didn't know that. I wonder why they are softening up. Is it because so few are enlisting these days ?

Always the same problem with the Air Force.... they are too '' sloppy ''
Which one is he?
Nobody cares about berets. You're paying attention to the wrong details. People have other more pressing things to focus on.
