I live in Isla de Margarita, Venezuela. In Jan. 3, we had our first European cruise ship in 15 years. We haven't had cruise ships of any kind for about 10 years. More are supposed to be coming YAY Argentinian beef is excellent, Chilian wine is awesome Excellent review!!!
Great video of a super cruise, Brandon! It is a trip of a lifetime. I did Infinity from Santiago to BA, and the ports are all worthwhile and so different. The Patagonia area is amazing seeing the fjords and waterfalls.
Thank you for the heads-up. I am taking this cruise but it starts in Chile and ends in Argentina. I laughed when you said to bring clothes for cold weather. I am one of those people who brings a jacket when I go to Hawaii. Unless it's 85 degrees or higher, I am in a long sleeve.
Thank you! On the group cruise now and was just talking about how kind you two were when I was in BA. Thank you again as you really did help make the trip memorable.
Sounds like a fantastic cruise. So glad you went and very much appreciate all of the insight. The Cape looks awesome. Will definitely be adding this to my list of places to cruise. Thank You Thank You 🙏
Thanks Brett! It is definitly a bucket list cruise and takes planning but glad we were able to make it! The Cape was indeed amazing and had me smiling ear to ear.
Wow.. What an experience to have Brandon. It is on my bucket list to do a South America cruise. Your review is an incentive for me to get my act together 💜
We are going on this cruise in March but starting in Santiago, Chile and all of the information was very informative. I am curious what hotel you stayed at in Santiago or the area you’re in. Is the dress code more casual on the ship?
Great video and very helpful. We are on the exact itinerary in a couple weeks and would like to know how to pack for the weather and activities. Any chance you could respond or do a video that would help us? The weather varies so greatly.
Hey Karri and you are going to love it!!! There is no good way to pack. It will be summer in the northern part of your cruise and as you go south, it will probably be much cooler, windy and rainy. I wish I would have had more solid warm rain style clothes or clothes that were more versatile with the weather. I was VERY undressed most of the time and the ship did not sell warm clothing at that time.
They were all through the ship! I have learned that when cruising internationally, I prefer the ease of use and lower stress of booking direct with the cruise line. Especailly, int'l it's often tough to get the times to line up to the shore side offerings.
I thoroughly enjoyed all sixteen minutes of this video! It would be awesome to tour these far Southern American countries! It’s easier for you to fly down there from Southern Florida than it is for us from Northern California.
Thanks for the review. How great to have been in Buenos Aries during their World Cup win! We will be on this cruise in March and you reviews of the ports was helpful. We’ve booked the gauchos and peninsula tours! One question though, how was it getting on the ship in Buenos Aries? Thanks again.
Thanks Nancy and you are going to love the gauchos tour!!! Getting on the ship was surprisingly easy. It is a multi-step process but was well organized and moved along. We took an Uber to the cruise terminal, you go into a holding area for a bit, then you go into processing of your documents, then security and they will keep your passport. You will then take a shuttle bus to the ship. Sounds like a lot but it moves really well. Have a blast!!!
Hey there! You know, this is something I have been thinking a lot about too! Just got back from a Greek island cruise and am worried the video will be similar. When you mention you want to see the tours, can you elaborate on what you mean? Want to ensure I do a better job on the Greek Island's video than I did here. Open too all suggestions :-)
Hey Christian, sorry you felt that way about the video. Please feel free to use the comment section to add any information I may have left off or share a different opinion. I am certainly not an expert and recognize I don't always get things right.
We do this on Eclipse in March 2024. So very interesting. )Imagine being in B.A when they won! WOW! Tough if you don’t like football!!🤣🤣🤣). Thank you.🥂🇬🇧🫶🇺🇸
World cup! What a way to start your cruise. I really enjoyed this review. thanks Brandon.

Hey Brandon, sounds like an amazing cruise with some great ports. I have to add it to my cruising bucket list. Thank you for sharing your tips.
It is definitly a bucket list cruise! I get to do about one of these a year and very glad to be able to do this one.

hahah small steps Martine! We have to get you back to the Caribbean first!
when i was on the infinity last November the crew was talking about going to South America next. this mustve been it!
It sure was!! Yes, many of them had never been to this part of the world and were just as excited as the guest which was fun to watch.
Thank you for the great information!

What an amazing place to celebrate the World Cup and the crowds were so well behaved.
This trip sounds wonderful. Can you recommend some travel agents that specialize in cruises? Thanks
Hey Sammy, I am glad to share a few names. Email me at theweekendcruiser@gmail.com. It was an AMAZING trip! Love seeing he world via cruise ship!

Awesome video. Were your excursions through the ship or private company?
