To really understand this video you need some background. This was at a Marillion weekend convention and was completely spontaneous. My good friend Matt Prior started playing the intro acoustic riff and I joined in. You can see Mark Kelly trying to explain the vocals to Steve Hogarth who wasn't really familiar with the song. When the crowd started singing he shrugs his shoulders and walks off. Pete, Ian and Mark (who was a bit vague with the chords) then also join in. It shows what an amazing audience we have!

Thank you for your explanation Steven. Pink Floyd and Marillion are my favorite groups. In the back of my mind there is a common feeling or "soul expression" between them (i.e. you). In your Milano gig few years ago most of the audience before the beginning was also discussing of Roger waters coming concert ... I'm even surprised that contamination hasn't happened more or more intentionally. But I thank you for the feeling of it. And yes by the way , thank you for all your past and present work : you surely don't know but your guitar has been my company during many years of study.
My father's favorite band covering a song by my favorite band. My dad had a shirt and the DVD for this. He passed away around 6 years ago and now they're mine. Love you dad

It always amazes me how people can slate musicians - not just for doing what they do but also for when they decide to have a jam. Millions of people all over the world play instruments and a good percentage of those play other peoples music - especially when learning. When they become famous must they stop covering or jamming other people's songs? Personally, I see this as paying homage to one of the greatest rock bands on earth. :)
