Beautifully layered voices. Incredibly powerful and cleanly articulated pronunciation in French which is one of the most difficult languages for nonfrench speakers . They did an excellent job. Thank you for the reaction Lisa . I really recommend you Timr in a bottle by Forestella.

Hi~ Thanks for your reaction to FORESTELLA. I'd love to tell you about FORESTELLA briefly. They've met at an audition program called "Phantom Singer 2" which finds the best male cross-over quartet in South Korea. These 4 guys were included(survived) in the final 12 singers among hundreds of applicants. And, the program PD divided those 12 amazing singers into 3 groups as the singers want. And, guess what? They(FORESTELLA) won this audition!!!
When they sing on the stage, they normally set their positions like this. The first one from the left side is Ko Woo-rim(bass, a grad-schooler in vocal music), the second one is Kang Hyeong-ho(conter-tenor/soprano, ex-chemist), the third one is Cho Min-kyu(tenor, MA degree in vocal music) and the fourth one is Bae Doo-hoon(tenor, musical actor) There're many amazing songs they've covered. I wanna recommend a few songs in the below. Stay safe and have a good one! 😊

“Je suis Malade” was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973.
This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …).
When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and compose the music in a couple of hours.
The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes.
Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad.
But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s.
At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet. They became good friends.
Lara has made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power and Serge Lama adopted these in his later interpretations.
The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.
The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella.
Their vocal and harmony are goat, their passion put it to another level. Great Great group.
Another fantastic performance by this unique team. 4 almost devastated, abandoned lovers who express their sadness, longing, anger and despair so intensely that it takes your breath away. It's unbelievable what feelings they can unleash with their singing, in connection with these tremendous vocal skills. And what an achievement to be able to express such deep feelings and pass them on to the listener despite the language barrier. They have my utmost respect. Lara Fabian's version is also "naturellement" overwhelming too, but a completely different genre. It is better not to compare excellent performances, but simply to give the respective artists the necessary credit for their outstanding achievement.
they are the best group singing this kind of crossover music. also in many different languages. they deserve more popularity globally even though they are quite famous now.

Sorry, I'm not at all sensitive to what remains for me a simple imitation. It's even downright mimicry.
I stopped watching after the third singer.
Where are their own emotions?
When Dalida or Lara took over this title, each brought something new to it, their own feelings, their sensitivity, their very experience (sometimes awkwardly, almost caricaturally, some wobbly variations also during specific performances of one or the another of these two great artists on this title, but in any case, always interpreted in a personal way).
So, this performance doesn't at all convince me. It's almost counterfeit made in Asia.
It's indeed shiny, but it has the shine of fake.
The comments being rave reviews, the fact that mine is negative can't harm the whole.
It is never useless to bring a minimum of contradiction, it prevents from sinking into eugenics, stupid amazement.
