This composition is made by a french percussionist, professor of the Music School in Lyon. Now the orchestra split it of and the professor is doing other project. Thks for watching the video, it makes the music alive. (btw sorry for the late answer)
@JUSTONEEEE Lets make the water turn black and Harry you're a beast are from We're only in it for the money.Orange county and Oh no are from Weasels ripped my flesh.Perhaps they were together on Mothermania too,an early compilation,I can't remember.
+Micah Greeson Over here it is 7.30 in a dark, horribly wet and cold morning, I am not at all looking forward to a boring train trip to some neighbouring town of Amsterdam, fully dressed, and the director is good for a grin indeed!
+Mabel Amber ..Given that most of Frank Zappa's is full off hiccups, quarks, oddities, tremors and fits I thought the conductor was being remarkedly restrained..!! ;))
OP: Was this an original composition or did you purchase this? I played a Frank Zappa compilation similar to this (Let's make the water turn black, harry you're a beast, the orange county lumberjack, and oh no) I can't find it anywhere. Perhaps you can help me out. Nice performance by the way.
Wondering how many of these kids in the orchestra know what the song was really about? The weird neighbor kids, smearing boogers on a window until it became opaque, lighting their farts with a lighter, and peeing in a giant crock pot until the water turned black and had creatures swimming in it. Oh well, nice arrangement anyway.
What is the last song in the composition? I couldn't find harry, you're a beast version with such an ending.. it's a different tune, but i can't seem to find it. help me please...
this is cool yes, but I have to laugh because I'm reading the real Frank Zappa Book right now and just finished the chapter where he basically states his disdain for orchestras nd virtually picks apart every instrument (a cello player is a failed violinist, a bass player is a failed guitarist) and reveals how the members alwys hate to play anything by a composer who is still alive. Much more, but have to wonder; what would Frank think? Still super cool. I love th marimba, had 1 in my R&R band
Great job. Didn't know Ruth had that many kids!!!

One of my favorite songs. Selling lamps and chairs to San Bernardino squares
Oh how I yearn to see a bomber burn
Ha, I lived in that shithole for a decade. Horrible!!
Amazing. Love how they all chant together
That's amazing. I think Frank Zappa as well as Ruth Underwood would be pleased.

Suite from Lumpy Gravy!! Frank would have approved, I would think. Simply amazing.

I wish the recording was better

interspersed with the end of "Harry..." it goes into "Orange County Lumber Truck" and they end with "Duodenum" (aka The Theme from Lumpy Gravy)

Fannnnnntastic!!
Wish the director didn't jump around like an unguided toddler though -
+Mabel Amber The music's supposed to be fun though!! Take off your clothes when you dance!

I love the chick on the extreme right. She's really having fun!
One of the best interpretations of Zappa's Let's make the water turn black. Who is the arranger/conductor?
A song that will live in infamy!
Zappa must be rolling in his grave....
because the incredible performance!!

Lumber truck. Several albums have these tracks

i think they have internet on their smartphones so... yes, probably they do know ;)
Very nice! Frank Zappa get far too little recognition and attention as a composer!

Look on the album We're only in it for the money
Frank Zappa in conductors:" ... thashing around in mock ecstacy for the beneift of the committee ladies (who wish he didn't have any pants on."

much too fast for my taste, but very well executed.......
I love Zappa but this is only the poorer version of originals. Always thought so but I am not saying that I will always think so!
The drummer plays extremely boring.
