As someone who lost my grandma to a heart attack because I didn’t get her to the hospital fast enough.. I hope they drop her charges. Any half decent child would do the same if someone was dying in front of them, let alone their mom.

Instead of calling an ambulance? What if that high speed chase exasperated her medical situation? I understand the situation but it doesn’t excuse what was done?
All it takes is one unsuspecting car on the road and the next chapter of this story is involuntary manslaughter charges with a high probability of conviction.

I had a similar thing happen to me. I clocked a car going 90+ and pulled them over. Their son had his hand severely smashed on a piece of playground equipment. I took him in my car and told the family to safely drive to the hospital. I radioed ahead to the hospital and they met us at the ER entrance. The family later wrote a letter to the colonel saying that due to the fast action the boys hand was saved. I get that in this case they didn’t pull over, but sometimes compassion and understanding should outweigh the law and your ego driven adrenaline rush. Stuff like this is why police are losing the respect and trust of the public.

We literally sped to the hospital with my hazard lights on when I was in active labor. Thank God no officer pulled us over or pinned our car. In the sense of emergency I assure you no one is thinking about all of that. The man giving the interview has Z E R O compassion. I can only pray he doesn’t find himself in a similar situation. Be mindful how you speak and treat others. As the saying goes … what goes around… comes around.

To be fair, he can't advocate people break the law on interview. Leniency is the job of the judicial system, enforcement is the job of law enforcement
Advising the general public to ignore laws at their own discretion is a bad idea (and undermines the law). Leniency for individual incidents when panic or circumstances lead to an inadverntently illegal decision, seems like a better approach

@@ismailahmad9597 thank you for being respectful in your reply. I definitely received the message and this makes a lot of sense. I can understand this POV.

How are the police supposed to know?

I like how the cops took the time to write a ticket while mom was in the backseat possibly having a heart attack and also possibly having a heart attack that her daughters were about to get shot by cops crazy enough to run them off the road.

How do you know he wrote the ticket at that time and not at the hospital. You should always take everything with a grain of salt.

She wasn’t having a heart attack. Did you listen to the story? She was discharged the day before. Hard time breathing and tingling/numbness in the hands is most likely a panic attack. The bias you have towards the police is clear in your comments. We get, everyone hates the police. But if they hit you at over a 100 MPH for something that clearly wasn’t a real emergency you would want police to be prosecuting them.

I know, that made me so angry, they should have followed her and given the ticket after if they really felt they needed to.
