Great work they look cool. i live in the Isle of Man just UK and i have about 30.000 vinyls which if the cost wasn't so high i would post them to you. Keep up the good work.
I do the same as you, it's good to see other Artist with the same taste of materials. I've done black panthers, cardinal birds, hummingbirds, peacocks, other items. I love this kind of art. Matter of a fact I'm going to do some for the Father's at my church. They are going to love them.
do your thing i like it you gave me a good idea i have a bunch of old records and if i can turn them into art i'm going to thank you thumbs up for your work
I would feel guilty if i did that to a record unless it was scratched to hell. I did chuck out a old Jim Reeves LP that looked scratched and dirty and sounded dreadful i wish i kept it as it would have made a great project.
I would love to create these! I love the tree. I have made items on old scratched records that can't play and even then some people freak out. I love listening to records, but if they can't play anymore why get upset when someone upcycles!
Woah woah woah, dude just because they are not collectible does not mean they are worthless. I have been looking for a few of those you showed and now I am dying on the inside. I do vinyl art, but only if they are really really scratched, or they skip.
Oh my, I would NEVER cut up my cassettes!!! Come on people I date back to 4 tracks and while I save some of my LPs for mostly sentimental reasons I don't listen to them. I can do without all the crackle and pops and hisses. When that's all there was I did everything to escape the noise. When home recordable 8 tracks became available I would record my album on first listen then put it away. Same thing with cassettes. Now I literally carry around 5,345 of my favorite songs in my pocket. No noise!
I would only do this kind of stuff to a damaged or useless vinyl. I have 2 copies of Jack White's Lazzareto Ultra LP but one got all scratched up because of a kid. I definitely turn the scratched one into something cool like this
What are you doing on the internet, it's the weekend! shouldn't you be at the hockey rink? And I'm pretty sure taking your dell desktop with windows 95 to the hockey rink isn't allowed.
i love vinyl as much as the next guy, but best hits albums, anything scratched beyond salvage may as well be put to good use, old shellac records from the 30s were produced in the millions, vinyl in the 60s+ even more were made, i dont see a problem unless youre destroying something rare or sentimentally worth saving
1930s records are the most rarest because it was during the Great Depression sometimes they would only make 25 copies of one song how many have survived since then since they were made of shellac
Great, very good ideas! Can you please wear a cutting proof glove on your left hand, or was it just for the camera?! i once saw a someone loosing three fingers in a work-acccident!
hi there I would love to know where I can get the patterns for the tree skull fish and few others and what do you use to make the record please tell me
I hope you’re still reading comments. I’m a disabled vet and would love to do this. Any suggestions on a good heating blade? What about fumes? I read they can be toxic. Thanks very much. You are very talented
I have bought two wood carving sets on the internet and sent them both back as they did not work. Could you recommend a carver that will let me carve my albums?
Not sure if you're still checking messages, I hope so :P After checking out your video I tried one out as I've been thinking about it for a while. I did a double feature (Frankenstein's Monster and The Bride). I started out with a Dremel, but that left the edges rough then I saw your video with the hot knife and tried that. Much smoother, however it raised the edges as it melted and cut through. How do you flatted it out, or is that just a product of the creation? BTW your hot knife seemed to cut alot easier than mine lol. I had to really pull to get my to go thru usually.
How do you get the cuttings smooth? I think maybe my tool is too hot because the record sort of not bubbles but builds up along the cutting line. Any tips would be appreciated.
OMG....she should do this outside. Vinyl includes chloride and this will result in poisonous fumes when melted....anyone. Don't do this in a closed room!
INHALING melting plastic is TOXIC and just stupid!!!!!!! at least do it in a ventilated area or outside in a garage with the door open. Toxic fumes just don't inspire me

Does anyone know if she's still active?
I would feel guilty if i did that to a record unless it was scratched to hell. I did chuck out a old Jim Reeves LP that looked scratched and dirty and sounded dreadful i wish i kept it as it would have made a great project.
very creative 👍
Can you tell me what you use to rest on while using the hot knife, what is it that stops the table from burning that you use please? Thanks 👍🏻
Como se llama la herramienta que utiliza
They work for pickguards for guitars too.
Could you use a solder iron
where did you get the attachment for the knife from, mine always bends
Con que se cortan
What hot knife/tips work the best for cutting vinyl?
Doesn't vinyl give of noxious gas when heated?
i was wondering the same, according to google result apparently you can't burn a album with laser engraver for the harmful fume.
i would do this only to the records that dont play well
Particularly one that skips or loops
I would love to create these! I love the tree. I have made items on old scratched records that can't play and even then some people freak out. I love listening to records, but if they can't play anymore why get upset when someone upcycles!
PVC = Poly Vinyl Chloride - often abreviated to just Vinyl. Releases chlor gasses and is is badly carcinogen when burnt or heated up
Hi everyone, I'm from Brazil! Please, which machine is this to cut the vinyl? help me.
Woah woah woah, dude just because they are not collectible does not mean they are worthless.
I have been looking for a few of those you showed and now I am dying on the inside.
I do vinyl art, but only if they are really really scratched, or they skip.
ive just listed loads of blank vinyl 12" records on ebay, nothing printed on them just shiny both sides, they would be great for this.
Oh my, I would NEVER cut up my cassettes!!! Come on people I date back to 4 tracks and while I save some of my LPs for mostly sentimental reasons I don't listen to them. What is this tool? Where can i buy it?
can you tell me where I could purchase a hot knife tool from I live in Australia

what is the best way to find records. the ones i have found are very expensive if you want to buy a lot of them
+I Laurie I get most of mine from op shops (secondhand shops). They are super cheap which makes them perfect for DIY projects.
ok thanks
+Why Not the Goodwill always has them

salvation army, thrift stores, garage sales, antique stores and consignments shops
I always find them there
I would like to hear how that tree sounds when played.

I really thought this was my original idea. but it turns out many have being doing this art idea since as far back as the 50s.
Perfect
I'm trying this.
Como que chama essa ferramenta?
I love vinyl LP records.
Great ideas! Where did you get the cutter for your art?
Do you have to put the record in the oven before you start or can you start to cut right out of the sleeve
Record doesn't have to be warm if you're using a hot knife
Which cutter you use ?
que ferramenta é essa que vc usa pra cortar....
Which hot knife is she using?
I would only do this kind of stuff to a damaged or useless vinyl. I have 2 copies of Jack White's Lazzareto Ultra LP but one got all scratched up because of a kid. I definitely turn the scratched one into something cool like this
can you use a gas powered cutter?
Can we see the five records of the butterflys
does it smell at all? i see u are doing it indoors... is that safe ? i want to do this but i have really bad lungs
Where is this girl today?! ❤
Burning vinyl makes very poisonous deadly fumes
I was thinking the same.
Good morning, I would like to know the hostname with the blade you use to cut the vinyl. Thank attention!
I was looking for the same thing. After some comparing and researching I believe the brand of the wood burner used in the video is Walnut Hollow.
Hope you're using a strong fan and ventilation? The fumes are toxic to inhale.
why is everything she says a question?
A question about questions
+itimmy101 Canadian.
cuz shes all aboot questions?
Charlie Pepping Take off, Hoser!
What are you doing on the internet, it's the weekend! shouldn't you be at the hockey rink? And I'm pretty sure taking your dell desktop with windows 95 to the hockey rink isn't allowed.
It's pretty cool? It's just a couple of steps? I kinda just google it? No longer played?
i love vinyl as much as the next guy, but best hits albums, anything scratched beyond salvage may as well be put to good use, old shellac records from the 30s were produced in the millions, vinyl in the 60s+ even more were made, i dont see a problem unless youre destroying something rare or sentimentally worth saving

What brand of tool do you use ? Good work!
i am confused, vinil records are toxic when it burns, so when people cut it with a hot knife they are sill burning it....
i use my mpc 2000 to cut "records"
hahha. same too

Muy bueno tu trabajo ..pero no entender ..podrias poner subtitulos en español..asi saber q herramientas usas..
I like it
Given that she's using a hot knife and the vinyl would give off fumes, why is there no respirator? A wee bit dangerous IMO
May I ask what hot knife do you use, I've been wanting to do this for so long now. Thank You.
It is a hot knife. You can get one at Michaels for about $16 depending where you live. :)
Thanks guys
super schön
How do you get the cuttings smooth? I think maybe my tool is too hot because the record sort of not bubbles but builds up along the cutting line. Any tips would be appreciated.
same problem here man, cutting all the way through a record is a struggle and messy:/
Maybe try adding a variable knob to the equation.
She is using a wood burning tool and it comes with exacto blades that heat up and slice through.
OMG....she should do this outside. Vinyl includes chloride and this will result in poisonous fumes when melted....anyone. Don't do this in a closed room!
I would like to get a vinyl tree and vinyl walk clock.
I would like to do business with you.
😂 Yea, 👌
in the crypto world, this would be known as a token burn (I.e removing a vinyl from circulation)
Kinda cute
dont use mpc all analog xd
Это просто супер
👍🏻👍🏻

Tengo mas de80 discos sin p portada reproducibles pero para que les hagan esto prefiero no venderlos
With all the spare cash she earns ..... Put some aside for elocution lessons.
En español
"Jewlery"?
I bet she says "nucular" too.
So you are destroying history... I see.
