Hey guys, great upload. Looking forward to seeing the build progress (along with all the trials and tribulations), as we are going to be building our home this year as well. I have been following along for a while now, I find the channel especially interesting as we are in SEQ as well, out at Ripley, south of Ipswich. Great content guys, keep up the great work!!!

Great info. Queensland is very different to NSW. Do you have a video for before you get to this stage. Covering what you need to think about beforehand 😊
I don't think so. You need to stipulate it in the sales contract (if selling that you're owner builder) but would all depend on the quality of the build upon a seperate building and pest inspection
You don’t need to have an owner builder if your building within the existing roof area. This includes renovations. Raising the house needs to be done by a licensed contractor

We've done around 5 cosmetic renovations. We're getting help to do the raise, concrete and framing. We'll be doing most of the finishing trades (ie sheeting, flooring, painting, landscaping etc)

Oooh we are in North brisbane. I love this! Can't wait to see how you go. We need to do something similar. 2br home now. So small for our needs lol
We've locked in a start date of Aug 2023, so keep an eye out videos should be on the channel Oct onwards! It's tough all squeezing into a 2 bedder

What do you mean by house raising?
Lifting the house using hydraulic jacks to create additional space under the current home
