    The only thing that is stopping me from getting one of these is the fact we live in a society in which people like to steal things.

    Got my S2 just before Christmas, only been out on it twice thanks to the bad weather, Christmas and current Covid restrictions where I live in the UK.
    Throttle will be available for Offroad/Private land use only.. but it's "coming soon" as far as Super73EU are concerned.
    Love riding my S2 regardless of the lack of a throttle. However I had done my homework and was aware the EU version didnt come with a throttle.
    Only downside I've found is the fender issues, I got covered in mud. I have managed to find a fender on Amazon that will work on the front wheel to give better protection at the back half of the front wheel.

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      Agreed around the throttle. I love the bike. Hope you got the app working to help with the speed too! I still need to do more fender research to find something more effective. Let me know how you get on with yours.

    Great video, keep them coming. I'm in the UK thinking of buying a super73 but most of the videos are USA based owners. Still enjoy watching them, but appreciate a UK perspective. 👍

    Hi. After seeing your initial review then your 6 week review i have just ordered an S2. Where did you get the foot pegs from? I can't wait to get out on it. Brilliant videos, thank you for helping me make my mind up. The wife isn't so impressed 😕

      That's awesome! You won't regret it. (maybe I should ask Super73 for some form of commission :-)). The pegs are linked in the description below the vid. Let me know if you can't find them and I'll send you the link directly.

    Had a test ride today, was impressed with the bikes build and its a smooth ride, the dealer wouldn’t let me ride it connected to the app so i couldnt experience the full force of the motor, without being connected to the app i found the bikes torque and acceleration really poor, I take it once you’re up to the highest mode this improves alot, i know that the speed definitely improves but i hope that the acceleration improves, i felt like i really had to pedal to get the bike going and I haven’t experienced it like that with the bike I currently have, the acceleration is good, just lacks the top speed, so imlooking for both, hopefully this is the new bike for me🤞🏼

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      Definitely much much better acceleration. It’s all relative for sure but opening up the modes makes a real big difference to me. Maybe there’s a new vid in there somewhere from your question!

  • @jojosaristo9271
    @jojosaristo9271 3 года назад +1

    im working on a fender extention for the S2 (3D printable) still testing, for the front fender, you can flip it backwards this increases its effectiveness

    • @jojosaristo9271
      @jojosaristo9271 3 года назад +1

      en extention as in it moves the whole rear fender back to a height where it does actually catch upsplashing rain (5 to 15 cm)

    • @lifeunlocked7206

      I've been commuting to work a few times on the bike now. 17 miles each way. I'm not been economical and some of the journey is in a higher mode (🧐) with 800W output. I only just manage to get home before I need to charge again. So 30 - 40 miles is probably where you'd average before charges. If you could get yourself a spare battery then 80 mile a day would be possible and it would be awesome I'm sure.

    • @damiensangster455
      @damiensangster455 3 года назад +1

      @@lifeunlocked7206 thank you! 35 miles per day is actually my target range, and I’m hoping to pick up a second battery before I set off next year… I know it’s not the most practical bike to take, but it sure will be the most fun!

    Can't forget to mention that you can't access the mode 4 on the android app :/. Got an RX myself and although I agree 100% about how much fun it is to ride, I do find it kind of unnaceptable for such an expesinve bike to have such shitty fenders :/

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      Wasn't aware of that. What a pain. The reverse fender looks like it works. Am going to do an update video soon on this.

    • @VRCauldron
      @VRCauldron 3 года назад +1

      I noticed the front fender (look at me using american terms lol) is just for visual since the dirt getting flicked up by the tire needs to get caught behind the forks to stop it hitting your face, not in front.

  • @fabriziom
    @fabriziom 3 года назад +1

    Nice vid congrats. Do you feel a difference going uphill between mode 2,3 and 4? Or it's just the top speed that's different. Of course std mode is 250W which is nothing but I wonder if other modes are like 750-1000-1500W or all a constant power.

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      Yes - you definitely feel the difference. More so in the acceleration you get from a standing start. You can go from zero to 20mph pretty quick for what it is.

    Hi. Just watched your videos on the Super73 S2. Wondering what your thoughts are on the bike now another year later? Are you still enjoying it?
    I ask cos I’m seriously considering getting one (in U.K.) and can’t decide between S2 and ZX. Heavily leaning towards S2

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  2 года назад +1

      I love the bike. I certainly don't use it any where near as much as I told myself to justify buying. Especially in the winter and the wet. But the S2 is amazing and travelling with my son around town creates memories that is more than money. The whole buying to commute to work thing didn't really happen due to covid so I've only done that a few times. But all in all it's an amazing and fun bike to have.

  • @neillyboy1

    Great video! When they talk about 250watt power does that mean it's still the big American motor just electronically limited? Is mode 1 the only mode that complies with uk law or can you put it to 4 and be within the law as long as there's no throttle fitted?

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      It's a bit of a grey area. I think technically it's the top speed that's the concern (but I might be wrong). Yes - it's the same motor. With the app switched on you can set to max output (without throttle). It makes a big difference.

    • @VRCauldron
      @VRCauldron 3 года назад +1

      @@lifeunlocked7206 ah you answered the question I asked on your other video... new question, let's say you get pulled over and you're in 'US mode', how fast can you switch back to UK mode? Asking for a friend.

    Hi I’ve also had the same muddy problem with my new super 73 I’ve been thinking of extending the fenders with plastic on the front and the back but I’m still not sure how do you have any ideas? Also where did you get the foot support things I don’t have those but I would love to have them.

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      Hi Marijn, I've seen people reverse the fender on the front but not sure how effective that is. Other than that I've not seen a solution yet. I'm sure there will be as just need a larger guard.
      For the foot pegs I put the link in the video description. Hope that helps. Matt.

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  2 года назад

      Ride and Glide in the UK. I love the bike but probably don't use as much as originally planned due to covid etc. I'm six foot on a warm day and it's all good. It's a low ride, not like a MTB, but more like you're sat on a chopper. Your feet will sit flat on the floor when you stop at lights and junctions. But that all adds to the appeal to me. I'm sure it will be fine for you.

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      I've just started commuting with the 800W mode at times... I'm getting about 40 miles out of one charge. The bike's amazing. I've still got a broken rear light that Super73 haven't replaced yet. 9 months and waiting for that one. Everything is sound though.

    How is it, to drive uphill with that bike?

    • @lifeunlocked7206
      @lifeunlocked7206  3 года назад

      Depends on the mode. If it stays in mode 1 with the 250W output on the motor then it's not the worlds best. A really steep hill near me on full charge and I'm doing 8 mph up hill. If I get out of mode 1 then I can do 15mph up hill.
