Thx!! Very helpful info!
Been watching alot of your video's. Started looking up how to read blueprints just to possibly gain some general knowledge and came across one of your videos. Since ive watched 4 or so. Keep it up bud, your doing a great job, putting lots of good knowledge out there.
I actually live in Putnam county but ive been working in jax since i was a small kid. My dad used to own a construction company when i was young so I've been learning from a young age much like you. Im about to start a new job tho, within a week or so as a superintendent assistant. The job was offered by a good friend that lives in Pennsylvania and plans to travel to Florida soon to start the job. Ill be starting it with him. My back ground is between stucco and masonry to electrical, low voltage and mechanical. My friend has alot of faith in me, and granted i have faith that the good Lord gave me gifts but im not too sure of my knowledge and how in depth my knowledge has to be to do this job.
So not trying to be too long with this "comment" but my question to you Jesse is do you have any advice to share with me going into this field? Ive been doing electrical for right at 5 years now but im 33 and ive done construction for all the past 17 years and i honestly dont know what to think about the job. Im very excited but very intimidated aswell. Anything would be appreciated.
And most importantly i didnt really elaborate as much as i wanted to but i read were someone commented in a previous video somewhere saying that you were "truly inspiring" and thats a great description bud. You really do have a great upbeat attitude and the correct knowledge and you enjoy sharing that knowledge. Thats pretty much why ive started watching your videos. Not to mention its faith based.
So anyways, great job, keep up the great work.
Shout out from Auburn AL. I'd work for you, currently working on getting my AL homebuilders license, currently working as a sub and doing my own small residential remodels. This is a good time for contractors, plenty of work out there and like you said, do quality work and you will stay in business.
Great video, studying and tabbing books now. I wish I saw this first.
Great video , I appreciate it
Your dog chasing his tail cracked me up. Other than that, thank you for Sharing this info. It is gold!

Thank you for the information!! I was looking into getting into a license but didn't realize the experience requirements. Saved me a bunch of time.
Good!
your video is well thought-out. You are clear and coherent. You make sure to highlight important bits of information while being concise as apposed to drawing out details that you may just personally find important. All in all it is the perfect example of a well executed video and I found it to be very helpful. Thank you
Now that’s a good comment. Thanks, Sean!!

Perfect, I definitely needed this. I have four years of experience + one year foreman finally! (Almost 1year)
Great video man 👍
Thank you, very helpful.
Thank you for great content 👍
Awesome video. Great content.
That's great man! I became a state CGC at 23 in Fl in 1999. My experience was carpenter from age 15- 23. I held a journeymans carpentry certification at 19 and was a high-rise Structural Superintendent for 2 year. ( So other can see how I qualified for the test). The longest test I ever took lol. Good luck to anyone going for their license. It can be a fulfilling career.
I had so much of construction experience. I built many salons and coffe shops under someone else’s license. I finished all my projects and didn’t take on any more projects. I decided to take time off to concentrate on taking general contractor license.
Great information thank you very much.
thank you for sharing this
Very helpful I took test 3 times and failed years ago but I’m going to go back and get it this time
I'm a GC in NYC lucky for me my dad passed the business to me so it saved me time from having to go thru the headache of what you went thru,
Helpful. Thank you
I appreciate you putting this information out there. It helps when you’re coming from another area or state.
