    1. Recently, I created a Google drive folder for some revision materials, you can use to help you prepare for the tests
    Here is the link: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_wgh9zkZMNudxhBcdziTyqNBIwi3EulK
    2. For the smart device recommendations, i would say that an iPad/Tablet is very useful because:
    - You can take notes in it if you don’t want to carry many books around.
    - There are like numerous past papers and worksheets you will need to do for schools or for your exam preparations. Buying them all the time can be expensive.
    - An iPad/Tablet (with the keyboard) is more useful than laptop if you are not gonna do coding or other projects that need laptop.
    My secondary school in Singapore required us to buy school subsidized iPad. I found it super useful and use it all the time! I also used laptop since I studied computing.
    If you are gonna need an iPad, you can buy it in Singapore too because they have Apple Education here so you’ll pay less and probably get more free stuff. Also, your school might require you to buy one FROM SCHOOL. So, I suggest don’t buy it from your own country first.

      @@PetersonSogar hi, the ASEAN undergraduates scholarship is school-based, but for pre-university ASEAN scholarship, I’m not sure. In my cohort, successful applicants can be placed to different schools based on their geographical locations and test scores. there is also a special program (IP) too that I unfortunately do not know much about how it works.

      1. They don’t prohibit you from using your own devices - hostel, school, public places etc. Not all schools require their students to purchase iPads; some require students to purchase laptops. Different schools have different rules on the use of electronic devices in the classroom including your personal IPad, so check with your school of u end up getting the offer. Definitely bring yours!
      2, 3. Laundry room is in every hostel, but gym and computer room may or may not present. The pantry generally has microwave, water dispenser, sink, and refrigerator. We usually buy our own utensils.
      4. I can’t rmb everything, but what I can recall are: brief self introduction, why Singapore, why ASEAN scholarship, what did I know about Singapore, my dream job, my life back at home, situational questions about conflict management, and did I really want the scholarship. Just asking for my sister, may I know if you have any plans after the scholarship duration like which school are you planning to go to and do you have any plans to stay there after college? • @itzguech8086
      @itzguech8086  7 месяцев назад +3

      Oh, it really depends. You have different options! Many like to stay in Sg. Some go to the UK or the US. You can also come back to study in your home country if you want. For your sister, if she wants to study in Singapore after the 4 years, she can take up permanent resident (PR) in Singapore during her study there. With PR, u stand a better chance of getting scholarships in universities there. Even without scholarships, you will pay less in Singapore’s universities. With very good grades, you also have high chances of getting the scholarships.
      For me, I applied to a few US and Singapore’s universities. Scholarships are everything for me. I ended up choosing the US over Singapore’s universities as the scholarship packages are greater. I rlly don’t know how helpful this is. I am trying to share as much as I can, but also don’t want to expose myself on the internet. U can dm me on ig @chhiv_guech if you want to know more.

    But I have a few questions regarding some of the things you mentioned like the part when you said you'll have Singaporean classmates, does it mean that the scholars will likely have more local classmates than international ones? And to clarify, is the 250-low 300 SG dollars worth of allowance a monthly allowance but only given once in every few months so like a min. of 750 SG dollars every three months? Or is the 250-300 SG allowance worth for about three months? Thank you ❤

    • @itzguech8086
      @itzguech8086  7 месяцев назад +2

      You’re welcome :). For classmates, most will be Singaporeans since you are going to the public school, but there are international students and permanent residents too. You might not be studying with your scholar friends if you have different subject combinations. For the allowance part, they will give u total amount once every 3 months (at least it’s like this for the past years) = (250-low 300) x 3.
