This is why music is called The Universal Language. Even when you can't understand what the singers are saying, your soul will understand. When Andrea sings "Time to say goodbye" in English, that still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He has such a beautiful voice. I love Ms. Brightman, too but not a real big fan of female opera voices. I do have an appreciation for them. I also love how she's kind of clinging to him. It's very beautiful. Your reactions, as always, are priceless.
#1 He is actually totally blind. #2 This song is about a sailor who is going out to sea and telling his love good-bye. You have to look at it from the old sailing ship days where he didn't know if he was coming back. That makes the song all that more emotional.
They are simply breathtaking. Never could you tire from hearing such a beautiful piece of opera and those insane angel voices from Andrea and Sarah. Their chemistry is very apparent. Mganifico!
Andrea Bocelli is one of the best opera singers in the world. Sarah Brightman was a dancer, married Andrew Lloyd Webber and was the first 'Christine' in his musical 'Phantom of the Opera' alongside Michael Crawford.
The track has a unique quality to it. You don’t need to understand the lyrics to be moved by this masterpiece. The instrumentation is soft and allows the singers to shine brightly. The music has a traditional opera sound. Even if you’re not a fan of this music, the song will make you emotional. This song has become a classic in every corner of the world, giving strong emotions and entering people’s hearts.
The Italian actually says "I will go with you, wherever you go." "Time to say goodbye" is a poor translation , but Bocelli usually ends his concerts with this signature song which was a worldwide hit. Your reaction was what most of us felt the first time, it is so beautiful you almost want to weep.

It's only the past couple of years that I learned to like this type of music. I don't even know what it's called, opera or musical, but I like it. Big fan of Sararh & Andrea...Saw Sarah live performance at the Honda Center here in So.Cal...waiting for the chance to see Andrea..You right about the chemistry between the two on stage..honest sincere.magic..they have toured and shared the stage on many occasions before...Sarah sing in varied range of genres too.And is seasoned musical performaner in concert , and prior to the tours..a star diva of Broadway..of Rock Opera..here in the states and across the pond ..London..Most famously..for Andrew Lloyd- Weber's .."Phantom"..and prior to that " Cats"..
I just cannot imagine standing in front of a crowd like this, & NOT being able to see. I just couldn't do it. BRAVO to Andrea Bocelli. !! -----------------------MJL, 75 y/o
Oh, Angela! To be in that audience and witness this magical event.\ Sarah Brightman the beautiful, capable soprano, able to flawlessly project out over the audience while cudding and smiling with Andrea. And Andrea Bocelli, who sings the heart and soul of Italy, breathy, phrasing pure poetry as a young man joyfully captive in true love though it will end in good-bye.

Hi, Angela. Loved your analysis & reaction to this song. I get goosebumps whenever I hear them sing. I've listened to a few versions and have my own favourite of theirs. Thanks for sharing. Stay healthy and safe 👍🏽 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE - WHAT EMOTION DISPLAYED - IT MOVES YOU FROM INSIDE !! TWO FANTASTIC PERFORMERS !! PLEASE REACT TO AMIRA WILLIGHAGEN WHO WON HOLLANDS GOT TALENT AT AGE 9 SINGING 3 OPERA ARIAS, SELF TAUGHT - SHE WATCHED ANDRE BOCELLI SINGING and LEARNT OFF HIM - SHE WILL BLOW YOUR MIND - IF POSSIBLE WATCH ALL 3 HER PERFORMANCES THAT SET OFF HER CAREER - SHE IS NOW 18 and HAS COME A LONG WAY - SHE DONATES HALF HER EARNINGS TO CREATE PLAYGROUNDS FOR LESS FORTUNATE CHILDREN.
Gene Pitney sang a song to ME when I was severely in need of it - Every Little Breath I take. It helped me cry. It was popular at a time before your Mother was born. I cherish his song and your reviews. Namaste.
Angela : you do know Andrea Bocelli is blind ? He & Sarah Brightman are close friends. My #1 duet, of all-time. ----------This gets to me, EVERY time. ---------------------MJL< 75 y/o
The theory is that objective art is so constructed as to achieve desired effects, such as you and I feel when hearing this tremendous work of objectively beautiful art. I loved it so much that I printed it out really big, and would look at it while driving, singing along with the cassette playing. I soon had to re-write it phonetically, because the Italian was troublesome in parts. But I finally got it, and was singing along this time. Great way to learn a language. RUclips is very helpful too. With its help you can learn Latin with Cat Stevens' "O Caritas", Bengali with "O Nodi Re", Vietnamese with "Cua Gao Bai", and Italian with "Con te Partiro" (Time to say Goodbye). BTW, they are not saying goodbye to each other, the two of them are saying goodbye to the others, on their journey of love. There are other versions of this too, and one with two of them that I think even sounds better, and was the one I used.
Angela, that was a beautiful performance of "Time to Say Goodbye" without question, but you should or need to also see the performance of Jackie Evancho at age 10 with Sarah Brightman on America's Got Talent singing "Time to Say Goodbye", it will also blow you away and say "WOW", Jackie Evancho has gone on to become an Performer in her own right since then and has many hits and covers she's done.
I don't know if you realise this but Andrea Bocelli appeared not too long ago on a version of Ed Sheeran's song Perfect (which was called Perfect Symphony) and featured in the video Ed going to meet Andrea and record the song at his house. If you've not seen this you really need to. It's quite funny seeing a star as big as Ed Sheeran so starstruck.
David Foster calls Bocelli the greatest singer in the world. I was married to an accomplished Choir director for n47 years and while I don't know the intricacies of classical music I grew to appreciate it when well done.
You're right. Quite apart from the awesome performance, the chemistry between them is something really special. This modern classic has become part of almost every opera singer's repertoire over the past couple of decades, though Andrea is not, like Sarah, a formally trained operatic tenor. Believeitor not, she was a raunchy dancer with erotic dance troupe 'Hot Gossip' before she switched careers. The fact that most of it is not in English yet we can't fail to totally get it speaks volumes for the quality of this wonderful song. 'Blown away' and 'words fail me' are appropriate expressions here. Well done Angela.
Hi Angela, love your reactions! Just subscribed after your Phil Collins reaction. Could you react to Andrea Bocelli, Con Te Partiro, live from Piazza Dei Cavalieri, Italy. 1997. Beautiful!
I doubt they are lovers but they are probably friends. Sarah is well known for emotion in her songs and I think she was expressing the emotion of 'time to say goodbye' with her singing partner.
Angela, please review the song "Tell Him" by two greats Celine Dion and Barbara Striesand. I haven't seen anyone else review this song and it's really beautiful.
The greatest male female duet of all time. It captures the beauty and the inevitable pain.

Yes, but is has the right number of syllables to match the meter.

Music and voices we will hear in heaven ❤️🙏
this was played at my nana"s funeral... love this song so much
Finally getting to see Andrea Bocelli next month. I can't wait!
This performance is quite simply amazing!!
Their voice’s compliment each other so well.
This beautiful song is often used at funerals here in the UK for obvious reasons. It's so powerful and evokes such emotion. It's impossible not to be moved by it.
I wish i could sing like Andrea. His voice is a gift from God.

Absolutely wonderful 💖 very warming 💕 and emotionally charging
Awe, abject awe was the appropriate reaction to that! Your soul is showing! Thank you!
And Andrea is blind, what super talent and grace God gave this Majestic yet humble human being-it can just be awesome and inspirational!!!!!!!
She felt exactly as I did when I heard this
They are friends, and he is completely blind 😢. But one of the most beautiful male voices ever.
Conveying the emotions is the best part of music.

One of the most popular songs at the fountains of Bellagio Las Vegas :)
Hi Angela, you just watched a masterpiece, so glad you were introduced to it
Andrea Bochelli 💕
That was beautiful.
A masterpiece.
Andrea Bochelli Can’t Help Falling In Love in English performance in Las Vegas I would love to hear your reaction. Love what you do.

Another INCREDIBLE one is the live version of the song "Phantom of the Opera" with Sarah Brightman and Antonio Banderas. Incredible 🙌❤️
Antonio Banderas??? Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford!!! The original Broadway Phantom cannot be surpassed.
Admit it...you heard it from STEPBROTHERS
Heather Headly with Andrea is excellent also
Teared up early on

If you would like to hear a little more operatic music, may I suggest the 'Flower Duet' from the opera Lakme, by Delibes?
Hi Angela, love your reactions! Just subscribed after your Phil Collins reaction. Could you react to Andrea Bocelli, Con Te Partiro, live from Piazza Dei Cavalieri, Italy. 1997. Beautiful!
it would take The Italians to come up with a song like this.
RIP Lucio Quarantotto. He deserved better in life.
I doubt they are lovers but they are probably friends. Sarah is well known for emotion in her songs and I think she was expressing the emotion of 'time to say goodbye' with her singing partner.
Andrea doesn't let rip because Sarah wants the limelight.
Try Jackie Wilson singing Lonely Teardrops or Nancy Wilson singing ITS OVER GIRL. They’re not related but from the 60’s era . You’ll thank me
nice
👏👏👏
Is this from an opera? When was it originally written and performed? Anyone know?
Angela, please review the song "Tell Him" by two greats Celine Dion and Barbara Striesand. I haven't seen anyone else review this song and it's really beautiful.
Beautiful reaction. Please listen to Pavarotti’s version of Nessun Dorma!!
I really dig your channel Angela
This was their first appearance together. Check out their most recent. Leagues better :) :)
Angela please due a reaction on Andrea Bocelli, Matteo Bocelli - Fall On Me
Andrea married with kids🎶
how about Bocelli and Celine Dion singing "The Prayer"
Do "Rolling In The Deep" by Kz Tandingan. You won't be disappointed, I guarantee.
marcelito sings that song
Hi Angela, please do Orinoco Flow by Enya. 😊
She was married to Andrew Lloyd Webber and you need to hear him sing with his son. As far as your reaction ..Wow..
I have a question. Why is it that when people react to performances they emphasize how old it is?? Who cares! If it's good its GOOD.
When are you going to play odyssey " going back to my roots" thanks.
Obviously they both have skills, but Sarah Brightman is one of the " brightest" singers out there! (Pun intended)
ahahahahahah
Please play the song!
Pavarotti
