if Bumblefoot, Guthrie Govan and Morgan Freeman were to have a conversation they would produce the classiest and most relaxing sound in the universe.
+Soulless Ginger Jeff Loomis has a easy to listen to voice too, and an amazing shredder. Though Ron has styyyyyle and class lol
"If you didn't bleed after a show, you didn't really play" - quote by Bumblefoot
TSTBand well zakk wylde definently heard that one before
this guy has the coolest voice I've ever heard on a guitar player
I love this guy! The way he talks the way he plays,it's just amazing
Met him back in 2019 guitar clinic. One of sweetest human being I've ever met.
Bumblefoot oozes camaraderie. Such a nice dude!
"Touch it..PLEASE touch it" ahaha Ron is the Man..
"You can brown note a whole crowd of people." Genius!
"if you dont bleed after a show, you didn't really play" i fken love bumblefoot.
he is the best i love you roooooooooon!!!
I love him for his playing
Seriously this guy needs his own radio show. I like his style!
that 1989 "59 re-issue" is a pretty fkn rare guitar
I love the colors of it, is kinda like different from others i saw.
Ron's a great fellow.
Ron thal is one hell of a freakin cool guy.
This guy seems like he's the nicest guy ever haha
BearishZach met him twice he's a super nice guy
"I like to keep things simple" Ron, you have a double neck guitar with a fretless neck and you use a thimble.
Ron's a better singer than Axl Rose. Prove me wrong.
I saw GNR perform in 2011 and Ron was amazing. He is definitely a great guitarist.
I WANNA BE FRIEND OF BUMBLEFOOT
@supergroove1979 Sorry, the last two Rig Rundown uploads were at the House of Blues in Chicago, which have become infamous for their unwillingness to light the stage, so we're left to shoot Rig Rundowns literally in the dark. Yes, we used our camera's onboard light and upped the visual gain on the camera, but that all degrades the visual integrity of the video as you can see. In the future, anymore HOB shoots will include bringing a full-light setup!!
Thanks for watching,
-PG
He's voice is relaxing:D
this guy sounds awesome
He's so cool!
I love his voice more than anything.
That man has the coolest voice ever...
I love his voice
OMFG THIS PICTURE QUALITY IS FUCKIN AWESOME!!!!
RON RULES... CLASS ACT!
Nice to see McBob back with Guns
his voice is like he's ironically trolling all the time!
Nice dude.
This dude sounds so calm, like holy shit
great collection
This guy is great
wow this guy sounds so cool
ha.. Sheffield July 2006.. i was at that gig!
One of the most enjoyable rig rundowns out there! A very nice rig as well. Unlike Richard Fortus he doesn't use a million guitars live, either!
it’s fun you say that because vigier’s got a guitar line called excalibur :) awesome guitars if you ask me !
He really does come across very well, always has. For those of you who think hes just the GnR guitarist check out the solo albums. Far superior to anything GnR has done. And thats coming from a GnR fan. Along with Mattias Eklundh hes got to be the most original guitarist around for years.
This GnR line up rocks like no other band in the world
my god what a nice guy. he even thanked the camera man.
and how awesome is it that he uses so little gear. 4 guitars for an entire show is nothing.
I was there for that Sheffield, England show in July 2006, didn't see the knife wound action though, ha..
@crazyginger011 He's from the Republic of Brooklyn.
He sounds like he's pretty smart and down to earth.
G Marshall met him twice super nice guy
Thanks Axl to show me that guitar god!
If you think he's not, check out his solo stuff. You'll eat your words.
@crazyginger011 he's from new york according to his wikipedia page.
Not big fan of new line up but I like this guy and ritchard... Dj ashba doesnt fit for me haha but thats just me..
Its because dj ashba looks like a poser, and cant find his own style
Ron could do movie trailer voice-overs.
"touch it, please touch it ! "
Thal is a bearded gentleman.
I love Bumblefoot. Great guitarist, very nice and personal, and he sounds like Yogi Bear if he was from Brooklyn.
he sounds like the guy narrating wildlife documentaries on the Discovery Channel..LOL!
What country is this dude from, his accent is awsome
@Eliguitar1 Yeah, that's 3 guitarists. Axl must want a really thick guitar sound!!
@Metallimeister personally, I dont agree, but each to his own and all that jazz :)
BUMBLEFOOT IS THE MAN!! 🤟🏻
@Metallimeister Truth of the matter is that this guy alone is eons upon eons ahead of Slash and Izzy put together. His solo material speaks volumes in terms of dynamics, harmonics, non diatonics, melodies and rhythms. Technically and compositionally he's dealing from another deck. On top of that he's one of the world's leading virtuosos on the fretless guitar, he has a photographic musical memory and active absolute pitch. So yeah, keep telling yourself that Nimrod...
@Metallimeister I just had a quick glance at your arguements that you seem to be having with everyone, and I would like to just say, why cant you accept that there are alot of people who like Bumblefoot, both as a guy and as a musician, and there are those of us who believe that he is doing a good job keeping the music of GnR alive :)
He could earn is life only with is voice.
8:27 McBaaawwwb!
Isn't McBob Duff Mckagan's tech as well? Or am I making stuff up?
I want one pick, too :(
Bumblefoot has the coolest voice... I though Ashba was my favorite (Not knowing much of any of the three) but Bumblefoot is definitely the coolest guy of the three
@1egorecords yap. but he's still in the "special thanks to" list on slash's solo album but he used another guy as tech
Will you have a rig rundown with Axl? :D :D :D :D :D
It pays the bills....
Bumblefoot is God. BumbleGod.
@Metallimeister Feel is a subjective internal concept Nimrod. You can't decide for a musician or anybody else listening whether there is "feel" or not. Especially a musician you know so little about. You cannot qualify "feel". You can, however, qualify whether or not you like it, whether it influences you. However, to question "feel" or to assert "feel" into the structure of musicianship is haughty and means absolutely nothing. It's the stuff Guitar Hero driven internet badasses are made of....
"Touch it, please, touch it! Aahhh...nice!"
where´s rebecca dirks...which she had interviewed bumblefoot...
RICH BOB!!!
00:45 - 5 way switch with two pickups?? I don't understand...
@Metallimeister Cool. I see that you've abandoned any pretense of having a reasonable argument.
@yankeebulldog
Isn't he norwegian?
@Metallimeister "No one would give a shit about these guys if it wasn't for the "Guns N Roses"." That's irrelevant. Not many people gives a shit about Ligeti either, and he changed film music entirely. Bumblefoot did his most meaningful work outside of GNR. If people choose to care about Bumblefoot's most shallow work(GNR) over his most meaningful work, then the public opinion really doesn't mean much.
I met him ;D
isn't McBob Duff Mckagan's tech?
@guitarzz24 Slash needs three arms to do what Bumble can do with one....
no one gives a shit about the rest of the band, Ron Thal is the fucking boss
Engl Invader! Nice.
The reaction afterwards was the best part XD
go ahead touch it.....please
I've used ernie ball strings and they sound dead to me right out of the package,I might try the new cobalt coated if I get sick of my elixirs or some dunlop zakk wylde signature strings 10 46
Same reason Buckethead played with GnR for a while, I guess.
02:41
Axl talking in the background.
So does Guthrie Govan :D
touch it, please touch it... LOL
He's from the 1800's
Cozy
@Metallimeister How nice of you to back up your claim. Oh wait...
Okay...
Patience, Estranged, You Could Be Mine, Don't Cry.
There.
Ron is way too good for GnR
Exactly. Three years ago a clip surfaced on utube (very briefly) in which GNR's engineer Ken "Pooch" van Druten was elaborating a bit on his job. He talked about the different players and illustrated it all by highlighting different moments in SCOM. In one of the clips you could hear Ashba butchering the faster part of the 1st solo. It almost sounded like all strings snapped at once, really piss poor. If any player is deadweight it would be DJ....
Good god. Why have I not heard of him earlier? Please move away from Axl and show us your true glory.
"But ...Slash is better, GnR is over..."
I would love to kill slowly those stupid people that keep saying that, and spamming that in every single forum. Bumblefoot you are freakin' amazing, and your solo career is freakin' awesome!!!
For some reason I really like his voice. lmao
Best voice in rock. Maybe after Guthrie Govan, but it's close.
Gimme something to do
money money mooooney! moooney!
