    My Constable is SN 002. I got it all cleaned up and took pictures to sell as I wasn't using it. Plugged it in to test all was working and stopped dead in my tracks. It is so dynamic and perfect. Couldn't do it. Don't think I can ever sell mine. Esp since Marshall Super Lead is THE tone for me. Nothing does it better than Constable

      @ThatPedalShow  8 лет назад +6

      +TheGlobuleReturns That's absolutely how it works. It is in the fingers, but the right gear gets the fingers doing the best they can! And fair play to Simon too - our guitars are unfamiliar to him. No problemo!

    • @TheGlobuleReturns
      @TheGlobuleReturns 8 лет назад

      That Pedal Show Haha well your inspired playing has in turn inspired me to seriously check out some of these pedals! Why are your guitars unfamiliar? Does he play a different style/type of guitar altogether or just that they aren't his personal guitars? Either way he was awesome here (as was Dan)!

    • @ThatPedalShow
      @ThatPedalShow  8 лет назад +1

      +TheGlobuleReturns Yeah, not his personal guitars. You know how it is, you get attached. He likes the Strat trem floating, for example. Mine is 'just' about usable and set flat on the body. Can be a big difference. No worries for a true great guitar player I guess!

    Thanks for your show! Great as always. Simon makes amazing pedals and amps and his customer service is so good. The pedals are extremely well made with perfect tone ranges. He has a golden ear! I use the Squire as my main preamp today, feeding the Page, then Strymon delay and reverb into return of a power amp. The whole preamp section on the floor with full control at my feat. The tone is very musical and dynamic.

      +Martin Ekberg Good stuff Martin! I've become intrigued by this approach (Mick) so there's a Page ODS on the way and we'll see what transpires! Expect some show time as it happens. Thanks for watching!

    • @MartinEkberg
      @MartinEkberg 8 лет назад

      Great Mick! The Squire (D) is always on and serves as the first preamp stage, the Page ODS as the second cascaded gain stage and together they give 95% of the tone of my TR CRS - or JTM 45 with different settings. For small sessions I usually feed my TR Studio, for stereo the VHT 2/50/2, just amazing. The Squire also takes pedals really well. Also, you’ll not have any problems with time effects in the “loop”. The loop is a straight signal path on your pedal board. Unlike Dan, I’ve never liked how time effects affect the gain tone having them before the input stage.

      +Martin Ekberg Excellent - looking forward to trying it. I'm the opposite - I've always avoided loops because they're too much hassle with cabling and I've never found one that doesn't sound better (to me) when you don't use it! However, this is a fundamentally different approach, so I'm looking forward to some tweakery. I know a Squire D is an inevitability for the loop approach, but one step at a time....

    Always appreciate your videos! I anticipate them more than The next episode of The A-Team when I was a kid!
    Man so many cool sounds from so many cool toys! I'll just throw a shout out for my Digitech Time Bender. It does some killer modeling, tone control, modulation, patterns, and 2-voice pitch shifting. Great for getting lost in the sound, beautiful modulation, or tripped out sequences.
    Peace.

    These pedals are fantastic. Once you get one...watch out! The Page is the gateway drug.

    On Mick's advice, I'm gonna try to find a Jester. Almost 400 dollars here in the USA but for what you get, well worth it! All the Kingsley pedals are great!

    i'm watching this again for the umpteenth time, the sounds are perfect. And much though I love Simon's playing,Dan's at 22.50 is as good as it gets so far as I'm concerned.

    I went to the Kingsley website just to hear him play more. There are several demo videos. Worth hearing both for the playing and the pedals and amps. Well done, nice video!

    It's 4:30 AM.
    I'm watching the Simon pedal show video again for the 3rd time & I know that I NEED to order yet another Kingsley pedal
    immediately to keep my Harlot company.
    It could just be the lack of sleep & hungry belly making me a wee bit loopy, but I definitely think that by hooking 2 Kingsley pedals up together, it will make me be able to play just like Simon.
    I know it will. I just know it!!!!!
    Simon, expect a call soon for a Jester or a page......or both!!!!!!

    I've learned so much about tone and sound in general just from listening to the banter in these videos let alone the subject of them. It must be sinking in because I was sitting here thinking... that Harlot pedal is really bringing out the attack, a couple seconds later Dan mentions it.
    I feel like I just earned my green belt or something in tone-jitsu.

    that must be one of the best sounds I've heard on the entire show (up until September 2018).
    I think I know which pedals to get to tweak the brittle crunch sounds of my Screamer 50. Problem is, they all sound soooo fantastic. Jeez.

    Good morning Guys! I'd wager Klon/Klones sales just decreased...the Page is simply Killer! And none of the pretentiousness associated with the aforementioned! Great player, great show as always. Running off to go Jam with my buds here in a bit today( friday morning hacks!) and will spead the word. Thanks again!
