1. I should have mentioned that Silver Wolf and Pela are good alternatives to being support in place of Ruan Mei. Both are just as viable as Asta and better than Hanya. The reason why Def Shred is not that crazy anymore is because they took away FF's own DEF shred and that hurts this synergy quite a bit.
2. Q. How hard is it to obtain 210 SPD on FF?
A. considering team buffs it's not hard at all.
104 + 5(trace) + 25(boots) + 10 (ruan mei) + 60 (self) = 204 all you need is 6 more from sub stats, that's not even including the new plannar set. So yes very very easy.
3. If Ruanmei is already using watchmaker set, HMC can now also use iron Cavalry set to improve his DMG as well.
4. Q. How does Break or Super Break work? and why crit and why DMG bonus does not affect Break DMG?
A. Break Effect and super break have a completely different DMG formula that ignores crit and DMG bonus. Check out on my guide to HMC, I go over the formulas in depth.
5. Q. How and when to utilize Bronya when I have E1/E2 Firefly?
A. Yes for E2 firefly, I can recommend Bronya for a non-sustain team. Be aware how tricky it is to actually achieve the 6 FF actions that this comp is meant to do. You'll have to have 170+ SPD Bronya and 2 other DDD LC on the team to push her higher to catch up to FF's insane SPD. Yea I know this won't be for you're average team build for sure.
6. Q. How to consistently get Gallagher ULT turn 1 to proc 2x QPQ?
A. You want ERR rope + his E1 to ULT ASAP on Gallagher to proc QPQ x2 if we're being specific. But honestly getting hit works also and delaying other ults also work.
7. Q. E1 or S1 or Ruanmei?
A. Get Ruanmei first.
8. Q. and E1 vs S1?
A. If you aren't willing to go all the way to E2, then S1 is a safer investment. If E2 is within your consideration, get E2 first as it changes the unit alot.
9. Misha's 4 star LC is difficult to obtain high superimpositions due to being a limited 4 star (have to pull for). It's still okay tho... nothing crazy. Crit is bad.
10. Robin's ATK doesnt get transferred to break effect for FF due to a game stat transfer rule not allowing one stat to stat transfer to be converted more than once. (I know it's a shame)
Robin is still okay for the team advance, but really isn't as good as Ruanmei here.
11. Q. Applying fire weakness = good in all content?
A. Good for 'most' content. Very new player friendly giving you element coverage. Keep in mind fire resistance is not lowered for non-fire weak enemies and you're still 'weaker' DMG wise, But the most important thing is still to Break their bars so the whole team functions.
12. Aventurine has really high toughness DMG. Enemies will be 'stun locked' by breaks and have less opportunity to proc his FUAs, but he is still above average for this sustain slot!
13. Every Background with FF/SAM is on wallpaper engine on steam.
14. Q. What about the 4 star LC Flames Afar with SAM art on it?
A. other than having a good art, this lightcone is bad among bad, it doesn't do anything for FF.
15. Q. FF signature or RM signature?
A. FF LC first, RM's own Break effect isn't extremely relevant anymore as her toughness units are low for superbreak, and the dmg boost isn't relevant in a break team.
16. One turn ult explained again.
You need to make up for missing energy after 1 normal skill
240 - 144(skill) - 5(ult refund) = 91
to get 91, QPQ can give 48 or more, Kills 30-50 (easy), getting hit 15 (conservative average)
17. Q. how does FF compare to Acheron in terms of performance?
A. FF better at F2P levels.
Similar at higher investments.
At whale levels Acheron is higher, because you can also whale the supports like sparkle and silverwolf or Robin etc.

In total Firefly needs:
- Moon Madness Fangs (the new destruction material, you can farm it already once you reach that calix during the Loufu main story)
You would need 18 fangs of the level 1 rarity.
69 fangs of teh level 2 rarity.
And 139 fangs of the level 3 rarity
- Shards of desire, you can farm then by killing the meme enemies of the dream areas or you can just farm them with the dailies thing
- 65 raging hearts, this is the boss material Firefly needs from the purple trex
- 290 exp books of the highest rarity
- And about 3 million credits, but you probably don't need that much since the priority its to level up the talent first
250 currently in reserve (counting +10 from next patch reward), not including any starlight I get from the pulling session itself

Fact. Basic attack should always be leveled because there is certain conditions within the simulated universe where you will be basic attacking. And it's a massive damage down if you don't level those traces.

unless you plan to use attack boots, it's actually quite easy to achieve.
implying 210 speed are when she use ult and IF my math is correct and there's no change whatsoever:
104 base speed+5 minor trace+25 speed boots+6 new planar set+60 from ult+10.4 from Ruan Mei
We already hit 210 speed, Not including any substats at all
Just in case, you don't need 210 before the battle starts
You get a ton of Free speed just from casting her Ultimate so you can reach that

If you're a Xueyi appreciator like me, Firefly's light cone also works great for her. Quantum break already delays the enemy's next turn a ton. Adding the light cone's 20% speed debuff should therefore work really well on her.
Alright, maybe I'm coping, but I love Xueyi.
for Xueyi HMC team comps that is a dam good LC. But because Xueyi have different teams that focus more on her multiplier DMG, this LC isn't the best fit in those.

Last time I was this excited for a character was Kafka's trailer.
For planetary set, I'd add that other member on the team like HTB and Gallagher will also run it, FF would use ATK% ORB but others can run DEF or HP so orb is easy to farm. You'd still need 3 BE rope though so maybe farm until you have a good ATK% Orb with 4/5 usable subs rolls and then if you still don't have 3 BE ropes maybe use modeling.
Gallagher prefers an ER rope to ult as many times as possible. His role in an FF team is to work as a toughness bar chewer to break enemies faster for Firefly, so you want him to ult as frequently as possible, not to mention the debuff his ult applies. His break dmg with BE rope or not, isnt a huge difference. The BE he needs to get the maximum healing of his trace will come from HMC.
ATK% does not matter for any kind of break damage.
It only matters for her traces =)
Wow, that Quid Pro Pro strategy is pretty insane. I thought downtime was going to be a weakness for FF but apparently not with that light cone.

doesnt work as well since firefly's ult costs 240 energy and qpq only gives 16

Gallagher need to move 6 times before FF ult is over, his ult give advance forward so it counted as one more turn.

@@TheeGull0213 FF LC is better for FF team DMG, but ruanmei works in other teams too. So it depends on who your maining.

First of all , I appreciate you taking from your time to answer people questions. I have 2. 1: Do you think Break meta is strong enough to compete with the others meta playstyle in the game? 2: I have 700 pulls saved right now. Where do you think I should stop when investing in firefly( like no eidolons or should i go for some, should i go for signature etc). I have ruan mei e0s1, I prefarmed for my harmony mc so he is ready, same with ruan mei. P.S taking into consideration I want to get Jiaoqiu too for my e2s1 Acheron.
1. break effect meta is very strong and easy to invest in, especially when you already have RuanMei. It only falls behind compared to other archtypes when you reach whale levels of investment. (ie E6 and E6 supports)
But obviously that's not most people and Break effect will be very meta until they decide it's not by using toughness lock mechanics and such.
2. 700 pulls is a good amount to keep an eye out for impactful E1s and E2s. Watch out for Jiaoqiu info and be patient with spending. (too early to tell right now)
But in terms of FF, get E0S0 first as you already prepared, and if you like her as a character and gameplay, consider pulling E2, then S1.

I'm pondering if I should go for Fireflys Light cone or Ruan Meis.
If you wanna be technical on it, Firefly’s E1 is better than both, and Ruan Mei (if you don’t have her yet) is crucial. However, I would recommend Firefly E1 since S5 Memories is better on Ruan Mei, although Ruan Mei’s signature is actually HTB’s BiS with certain rotations
I'd go with FF LC if you're maining FF team, RM's LC works in all teams.
the only main con with her is her team comp... she needs Ruan Mei and HMC to deal dmg that is on par with acheron.... in addition, speed substats is like a dream when im farming lmao
can be viewed as a pro or con. HMC is free and RuanMei by default is a good pull anyway. Acheron is more flexible, but also scales better with limited 5 star supports as well

Guinaifen is a good substitute if you don't have Ruan Mei. Firekiss increase break and super break dmg, plus she is fire.

Great guide! I have several questions, how does Firefly's eidolons (mainly E1 and E2) compare to Ruan Mei's E1? For the team you mentioned in the vid (FF, HMC, RM, Gal), which of the two eidolons would be the better pick? And what's your opinion on E2 FF with E0 RM vs E1 FF with E1 RM?
get Ruan Mei E0 first, then FF LC or E1, then FF E2. The Ruanmei E1 is nice but nothing crazy compared FF E2.

FF LC first, then RM E1 is good for FF teams. RM LC isn't extremely relevant anymore as you don't care that much for break effect (RM has low toughness dmg) or dmg boost.

-> Ruan Mei : 10

If people wants Firefly but you dont have RM, asta is an excelent choice like the video says, not only she being a fire unit, somewhat SP neutral/positive, buffs fire damage, *gives an humongus ammount of atack* and makes your team just fly with speed, also she has awesome breaking capabilities and at E1 is ready to go and with eidolons she only gets better :D
Her best LC is Memories of the past and if you only have 1 (idk if is better on HMC or on her, because one of the two will want DDD and i think that on Asta is overkill) so you tune her being the last of the team and she is ready to go(to make her speed buffs have more value)

And kinda irrelevant but do you think I should get FF if I want Jiaoqui for my Acheron (S1E0) since she is already pretty invested and I literally have nothing prepared for FF. I don't even have the herta LC since I don't use any destruction chars xD
FF is not a must pull by any means. A hypercarry DPS of the break archetype, I can't know how much you like FF. But waiting to see how Jiaoqiu is for Acheron is a smart move.

How decent is the 4 star Sam lightcone that you can buy in the MOC shop? Its definitlely more fit for the likes of Blade and Jingliu, but would the S5 work well on Firefly?

Bronya should be pretty good for E2 Firefly yeah? More turns=faster cooldown for her E2=more extra turn. But what speed should Bronya and Firefly be(obviously Firefly should have at least 210 but does she need more for this setup?) What if Bronya is E2?
Also it sucks that if you use Bronya you can't use healer since she's really bad without Ruan Mei and harmony TB

do you recommend getting E0S1 or E1S0? I have s5 fall of an aeon but my pity on firefly isn't guaranteed sadly
S5 Aeon is her next best in slot after her sig even when comparing to the gacha Misha destruction lightcone that give break effect at S5 when Aeon is fully stacked because of how Firefly scale BE with ATK. I think the damage difference based on calculation by people tested in beta is not too far off.

I thought Tingyun's Benediction scaled Firefly the same way Asta's Charging does, is that a misunderstanding or is it because you have to build too much Attack on Tingyun for that to be a valid strategy?
Regardless, this guide did kinda help me figure out what my pulling strat will be: Try and get Firefly, then try for Ruan Mei, then try for Ruan Mei Lightcone, then go back to pulling Firefly, and if I get to E2, see if I get Firefly's Lightcone, and just see how many Ghallagers I get along the way. I've saved up a ton of Jade so I'm hopeful things will go well.
Tingyun's ATK works, but it's just less than what Asta gives. Asta gives SPD while Tingyun gives Dmg bonus (doesn't work on break)
I have enough to guarantee e0s1 (lc guaranteed 50/50), but if I win 50/50 (on char banner) i might be able to get e2s0. In your opinion, what would be a good pull order? I.e., should i pull for char e1 using all my pulls to chance for e2, having aeons as stand in for sig until rerun, or just suck it up and pull e0s1 and wait for rerun to get e2?
personally I really like E2, but it depends on your willingness to gamble. Getting just E1 and having to wait for E2 on rerun is not something I'd tolerate and I'd spend money that I didn't plan to. Feel free to update me how it went lol.
210 speed is wild, without specific buffers for speed stats and God roll substats, that would be near impossible to achieve

for the FF team, FF's LC provides more raw power because she is the hypercarry of the team doing the most DMG.
Ruanmei's LC is you really like her as she can be played in many teams and not just with FF.
as a new player having her and Ruan Mei on same patch is pain but I didn’t need a life anyways

Gallagher is miserable in auto battle
In Autobattle, QPQ will be really random. QPQ is designed for purposeful turns to give FF energy mostly.
there is one thing you got wrong in the video, it would be Chuck who breaks Firefly.
Surprised you didn’t mention Pela or Luka at all. Break Effect dmg is affected by defence shred and Damage Amplification.
Forgot to mention Pela as a substitute to RM yes. On the same tier as Asta, but after that DEF shred nerf, Pela/SW is no longer a notable competitor to Ruanmei.

is there a difference between seeles passive and FF's E2? you cant get resurgence while in resurgence, effectively giving it a cooldown until seele takes a normal turn again. The bits ive seen of her E2 seems to retrigger after she takes another normal turn. more curious than stating it as fact. either way it being close to seeles passive is wild
um it's goes beyond that, not only the extra turn doesn't trigger another extra, the next FF turn also doesnt trigger another extra turn. So it's half as frequent in theory than Seele, BUT it's easier to actually get it by breaking as well.
