- Its raining at World Wide Technologies Raceway just east of St. Louis... so I decided to take a walk around the IndyCar paddock and give you all an update on the state of the sport. Talking Foyt and Penske, Silly Season Moves and of course Alex Palou.

Wish the Gateway race was at night but understand it's Sunday afternoon so it can be on NBC. If NBC can show NASCAR night races, why not IndyCar night races (other than 2020 Texas)?

Santino is AWESOME with the fans. I was with my two young daughters and met him amongst lots of other drivers, Santino was the only one who addressed them directly and asked questions about them and what they like do. He doesn’t even have kids that I know of and yet he was the only one to make them feel like they were super important to him. Not that the other guys were stand off ish or anything, he was just that engaging.

Garage tour is always GREAT 👍. I enjoyed it very much when Nascar did it, I think that they have stopped that 😢.
My recollection (better than reality sometimes):
Helio’s first Indycar race was at WWT, racing for Carl Hogan’s St. Louis trucking company in their blue/grey/white colors. I was sitting on the front stretch in a gaggle of Hogan trucking employees. Helio qualified well and was doing OK when the first pit stop happened under yellow and Helio missed his pit. This put him a lap down to Al Unser Jr in the Marlboro car. He raced back on the lead lap and passed every car all the way to 2nd, challenging Al Jr. at the end for the win. Very exciting race and Helio’s talent was obvious.
Hogan was “this close” to getting the docker sponsorship when he lost Helio to Roger Penske. I don’t think Hogan raced in Indycar after that.
Background: I believe this ^^ was Hogan’s first (and only?) season running a solo team after breaking up with Rahal following the Budweiser Rahog fiasco. An amazing time of unlimited rules and budgets - custom chassis and tobacco money. WOOHOO!
It’s nice to see the Hogan Racing colors back - and associated with Rahal. Nostalgic. Hope the Hogan family is doing well.

you're going to love it it is awesome in person! I went the last two years and in 2017 and saw Joseph New garden when each time. I won't be able to go tomorrow because my vehicle broke down so I just scheduled myself to work open to close. but have a blast through the paddock tour if you can I haven't got to do that yet and I regret it
How many chances is Conor Daly going to get?!
He better get a chance with Ganassi and Penske. So he can race with every team.
He’s raced with Foyt/Coyne/Carpenter/Carlin (who’s Indycar team merged with Juncos)/Shank/Andretti/Rahal/Juncos (if you count Star Mazda 2010 championship)/McLarenSP (Before McLaren took over)/

what does andretti have to hide. they have been terrible on ovals for years. the only thing andretti has on ovals is the andretti fade. they fade to the back as the laps go on.

Hi Mr land this was real good to see how each driver has it's own mechanic to work on the different race cars and to get them ready for the IndyCar race for tomorrow this was really cool to see now it will be half with the pro's and half with the newcomers too so it should be a good 🏁 come tomorrow may the best man win for his team penskee and Michael Andreti team and Letterman rahol and more too i can't wait til tomorrow to get to watch it on NBC
