- A bunch of friends and I took our first offshore fishing trip out from Galveston Texas. Captain Hans in the Red Tide put us on some monsters! Even better was that since we were all friends we went for a swim in the deepest water I have ever been in! 200ft deep and over 100 miles out. The water was amazing and I cant wait till I cant get back out there..... maybe next time in the solo skiff!!!!!

I notice that these guys who love to fish refuse to mention the area where we all can come and a good time trying to catch fish. The state of Texas does a pretty sad job of building enough fish habitat especially inshore. Most people dont have a boat big enough to travel off shore. I dont get the hate we are all fisherman the ocean is big why all the hate fueled secrecy?

Look him up on Facebook if you in the Houston area. Price for a new hull is 1850 which is absolutely a good deal when you compare to the price of a hobie outback or PA.

They were put directly on ice in the fish box after catching and pics, sorted and sent straight to the freezer after cleaning! But yes they are being ate for sure!

40+ miles for the water 70 or so to get water deep enough for amberjack...we were 75 miles off Galveston last day of snapper season...got 2 AJs
