- This is just a short video explaining why I feel like the PS5 is going to outsell the Xbox Series X by a HUGE amount. Please bear in mind that this is just my opinion, so try not to take anything I say too personally.

I predict that this video will likely be controversial just because of how sensitive of a topic it is to talk about anything related to this petty "console war". So just know that I have no inherent interest in the slightest as to which console sells better. I also acknowledge that how many consoles are sold aren't indicators of which company was more successful. If you disagree with anything I said in the video, I ask you state them in a civil manner. Any contrasting opinions are welcome :)
You were not wrong. You made an objective statement but the problem is that the title along with the thumbnail at first glance will make people think you're bashing Xbox by bringing up sales.
PlayStation is just a household name. Xbox is famous but it isn't as good known as PlayStation
All my friends have already said they’re getting a series x, so that’s the reason I’m getting one too. I’d love to have a PS5, but then there’s the fact that I’d have to buy every single game again and I’d be in my own... I really wanted to play Demon’s souls too ):
Same ive blown too much on games from the xbox store, if i ever got a ps5 id HAVE to keep my old xbox(friends are on xbox too) which just isnt financially possible right now if i want to jump into next gen.

People can't stand other's choices they think what they bought or will buy is what everyone should buy. They think that they are always right hence fanboying came up.
I was very Xbox Sided for my entire life. However after Microsoft made all of Xbox games exclusives for the PC, I had less desire to continue with the next Xbox. Then, when I saw Halo infinite, a game worked for close to 6 years, looked worse than Halo 5, it was the nail on the coffin and went for PC. PlayStation has had a far better presentation of their brand console wise. Though, I’m not a PS’ single player games.

Oh, the only reason why I upgrade is if it's the only way to play the next Halo game. If Infinite was only on next gen, I'd get next gen. But it isn't.
Console itself is not profitable. It's not a loose for MS to get people into Xbox ecosystem without having them to buy Xboxes first since people can join Xbox game pass on PC.

Sorry, I have to say this is an incredibly uninformed and near-sighted opinion.
Sony are continuing to release their biggest games like Horizon on the PS4, and you can bet God of War will be too.
Not to mention that Series X will have all the Bethesda games after Tokyo Ghost wire on their system. The Series X is a fantastic piece of hardware and will definitely close the gap over PS5.
Not to mention that they think it's appropriate to sell their games at £70, while on Xbox you have the option of Gamepass or the regular £50 for games.
As I already said, I'm aware that they'll be releasing some of their IPs on PS4 as well, but there are still examples of games that will only be on the PS5. And even in the case of the Bethesda games, if they don't end up on the Xbox One (which a lot of them probably will if they come out in the next 1-2 years), they definitely will be on PC since it would be disastrous if they didn't considering Bethesda games are often overshadowed by the great modding community.

That's still quite a bit cheaper, but I felt that was worth clarifying. Secondly, both Gamepass and every Xbox game will be on PC, so those are reasons to buy their games, not their console. I'm not trying to say that the Series X will fail, it'll definitely be successful, but I would be surprised if it ended up more successful than the PS5 because there is just more incentive to buy that console.

The PC argument is a moot point too, as the game pass for PC and Xbox is much different in terms of whats included.
What do you mean it's a reason to buy their games? You can't get Xbox games on your PS5, so if we're comparing like hardware, surely a £450 Series X would be a smarter purchase than an £1000 plus PC for the same performance? Not to mention it'll play all your 3rd party games better...

At the moment yes, but most likely when Xbox start releasing all of their games for the PC, all of the games they're planning on adding to Game Pass will likely be added to both versions. A huge chunk of the gaming community already own a £1000 plus PC, so they're already narrowing down their fan-base. And for those that don't own one, they can still get a PC for not much more than the price of the Series X if they're willing to settle for graphics that aren't as good. So yes, there are still reason to buy a Series X if you care about graphics and don't want to spend as much on a PC. But comparing that to the reasons to get a PS5, those reasons don't pile up as much.
Ye I get you, they are being too pro consumer but i also like them for that, yes it isn't a good business practice but I really don't like how anti consumer ps is and they just want to grab your money so personally I'm gonna go for the Xbox sx mainly nothing against the consoles just against Sony idk y just really don't like them
But it's worth it because in return, Sony gives us high quality exclusives

I have PC Gamers friends, and everyone wants a Series S as a secondary platform, not a PS5. This is thanks to Crossplay, Crossplataform, Crossprogression and Play Anywhere, which only the xbox provides in a complete way, so I don't think that launching games for the PC in any way will hold the console sales.The other half of my friends don't even like PC, there is an audience that specifically wants consoles, and that audience will either choose which has the exclusives that they like best, or that have the best cost benefit or better play the Third Party, while the PlayStation only has the option to win (or not) in the exclusive criteria, the Xbox is already superior in the other 2 criteria and depending on the taste of the consumer can win in the first criterion too. Maybe the PS5 really sells a lot more, but it won't be for incentive reasons, but for reasons of marketing / personal preference of the casual mass
That's fair, personally everyone I know is getting PS5. So I guess time will tell which will sell more. I'd argue the whole cross platform thing for me solidifies my reasons to stick to PC if anything, since if I have any friends that have Xbox, I won't need to buy an Xbox just to play with them. I also acknowledge that if Playstation do win because of the exclusives, I don't agree with their methods to achieve it.
@@TheReconJacob This is probably due to demographic reasons, where I live it is really very expensive to be a PC gamer, and buying more than one game a year is a rich thing, so Gamepass is the only option, so I think that the S Series will be the most sold here, but on the other hand the PS5 has a historic load since the PS2 was an absolute success here thanks largely to piracy

but it doesn’t matter, at the end of the day we’ll be playing the same way, while Xbox people will be playing dozens of AAA via gamepass for an affordable price, people on PlayStation will be either playing fortinite or paying 70$ for individual games. I'd rather play more than be on the console that sells more (I know you're not saying sales matter or anything, I'm just giving my opinion on the subject in general, not on the video in particular)

@ike I mean technically according to the terms of service, you don't truly own the games even if you pay full price to have them digitally, since it's considered a license that that they have the right to revoke at any point. The only way you truly own the game is if you get it through disc.
