Thats a brilliant solution for a simple sled, one of the best I've seen. Might just build it! Thanks so much for this great video, saves a ton of time trying to figure it out.
I found this video perfectly helpful without audio. If you can't figure it out with the visuals, maybe you should be doing woodworking. This was a simple build. Thanks for sharing.
Hi swimmer906, the most important is the 40x40 aluminum profile 1m long each. The rest are corner joints easyly available to find on Ebay, Amazon, etc. I will try to compile the list and add it on the description.
These are the ones I can find on my purchase history. I was buying them as I was building it looking at what I needed. I hope it helps. -Heavy Right Angle Connector For 4040 Aluminium Extrusion Profile www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Heavy-Right-Angle-Connector-For-2020-4040-3060-4080-Aluminium-Extrusion-Profile/223215361589?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 -M8 BUTTON HEAD ALLEN SOCKET SCREW BOLTS A2 STAINLESS STEEL www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07NC9DNV3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -T-Slot Hardware 40 Series M8 Slide In T-Nut www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01GNVVGE8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -100mm Diameter Brush Engraving Machine Dust Cover Brush 1M Length for CNC Router www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B077GRV2RL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hello George, thanks for this video from the Netherlands. Collected almost all the materials. Only have to find the 4 hole, 90 degree outside hooks. Cant find the 40 mm width. Greetings John.
Hello! Do you have a sense of how well the plastic sliders work compared to the 80/20 wheels with bearings or bushings? This design is a lot simpler than adding the wheels…
Hi Jonathan, I believe the wheels run better but so far I haven’t had any issues with the pads. I just found the wheels too complicated and wanted to make it as simple as possible. Also the wheels will jump over the sawdust that could sit on the bars, leaving behind uneven surface, something that doesn’t happen with the pads as they just push it away. You don’t have to buy the 80/20 pads if they are not available where you are, you can make your own using a Teflon chopping board. I hope my answer helps.
Sure wish the items in your build where not just on Uk Amazon taught to convert to Us Amazon. It is a nice sliding system and would love to make one here in Pittsburgh. I am trying to figure out what is need other ways. Thanks for sharing you system. I like it
@@georgeiatrou9368 thanks for the response! Yeah thats a great idea but to buy one specifically designed for that use is around the same price unless you do woodpecker but at that point money isnt as much of an issue i would think. Thanks again!

Thank you Philip, I am glad you like it.
Thank you Philip, I hope you make it and have fun with it.

4:03 sounded like an F-104 Starfighter flew by lol.
Hi George! Love this! Do you have a parts list by chance? New to aluminum extrusion...
Sure wish he'd answer your question.

Greetings John.
Try motedis in Germany. I had a lot of profile and fittings from them a few years ago, as it was still cheaper to buy from them than here in the UK.
where did you found that white sliders?
I like the idea a lot. Does the depth of cut become an issue, as the router is raised up a fair bit?
The height is not a problem as I am using a plunged router

Excellent...
You are a Pro...
Thanks
Good idea
Anyone found that plastic sliders in Europe?
What do you call the piece that you use for the 4" shopvac connection. Thanks!
Hi Mark, it is called hose port, or quick connector. I hope this helped you.
Hello George. What was the thickness of your polycarbonate sheet you used? Any issues with it flexing under pressure? Thanks.
Hello Wayne, it is 8mm and have no issues with it at all.
hello, what are the plastic runners you use to connect the sled to the outer rails? thanks
They are called sliders and you get different sizes depending on which size aluminium profile you use.
Do you have a link for the sliders? This is amazing!
I agree with many others, no talking with this kind of project does not make it helpful.
How much was it in total
Hi Jacob, I think it was around 200 USD

That’s awesome! How much do you figure it cost you?
Hi Jim, it was more or less 150$
Slow down. Play it at normal speed. And how about some audible directions. Looks good but I don't know what you did or how to do it.
Thank you for your recommendations Dennis. I will try in the future to make my videos more explanatory.
be nice if you’d explain wtf ur doing lol

Totally agree. I have no idea why people make "silent" tutorials? Watched 20 seconds and stopped this video.
