Tata is NOT part of Stellantis. The Ghibli gets hate because most people don’t understand its place. It’s a great car with a beautiful body, great engine and nice interior. BUT it’s doesn’t have cutting edge tech, it’s not the fastest sport super sedan, it has a few parts from Steallntis(see infotainment and window switch gear). This car was to try and make an entry level Maserati. It’s a shame most people didn’t understand it. Now everyone is driving a truck LOL and they talk about pleasure of driving while simultaneously insulting this car. In short, most ‘experts’ are idiots.
In other words, if you ARE going to get one, buy gently used (let the first owner eat the depreciation). Preferably cash or a short term loan (think maybe 3 years with a NICE down payment, no 5-7 years here folks). Otherwise, you’re throwing away money or it will become unaffordable in the long term.
It's because people that get them aren't car knowledgeable, at least all the bad stories about them. People that take care of them, they'll last a lot longer.
For people that take care of them, the majority of owners that buy these new, are car illiterate. If you take care of them they'll last quite a bit longer, not Honda long but better than dumb people not keeping up with maintenance.
I can find some for less than 20 and now that I know parts are cheap that makes this my number 1 for car purchases
