Hi Sam and Jess 👋 I was so excited when you found the last house well and truly abandoned 😁 I loved all the little things that layed around and the old fireplace with the very old cooker and kettles! I just love that when a place has been abandoned for Decade's, you get the 😮 factor . I reckon you need to get yourself a gardening tool so that you can get through all brambles, lol Thanx guys for another brilliant abandoned tour 🤗😊 xx

Your Wales road trip is fabulous! I love all the photography it’s beautiful!! That last little farmhouse was unbelievable! Some of my ancestors came from Wales and I’m wondering if this was how they lived. This was really a great time capsule. Can you imagine how hard it would’ve been if you lost your husband and you were the last one left trying to make things work in your advanced age. Must’ve been really a tough life. Thank you so much. Glad you guys are safe. Love y’all.💜🤟🏻🤗🦔🤙🏻🇺🇸

Often at night, especially in winter, the animals would have been downstairs while the people would have slept in a rough sleeping loft above, making use of the rising heat from the animals & their dung to stop the family from freezing.

The zebrite is blacking which is used on stoves and ranges. The old cooker that you referred to as an aga is the old range and made from cast iron. The zebrite is used to restore it by 'blacking' it. This essentially means rubbing on the zebrite. Another brand is zebo.
Another great video, I love your passion and enthusiasm but equally your utter respect for these properties and the care that you take to avoid entering any inhabited buildings 💜💚💜

The last farmhouse was fascinating! Love seeing how people farmed and lived back in the day when life was a lot simpler, though they worked hard for a living. I think they had so many large kettles for heating water for bathing, doing dishes and cleaning the equipment for butter and cream production. Loved the explore, greetings from Australia. 🦘🥰😊🤗

Some great finds there. Those lightbulbs in that shed are old valves from wireless sets and monochrome TVs. Lemon Cheese is Lemon Curd what you spread on sandwiches or bake in tarts. That bank book says £98 pounds. 11/- shillings and 9 pence in pre-decimal currency. That bill for the hotel is again pre-decimal. 22/- (Shillings) for room and 24/- Shillings if with breakfast. Lunch 8/- shillings, Dinner 11/- shillings.

being 82 years old,,, my granny Bickley had a cottage that had fire-cooking cast-iron ranges like those here
kettles saucepans,,, medication from a bygone age
photos from WW1,,,, wedding from the 1940s
it heart-breaking to see knowing the happiness that must have been within that cottage household,,, Ed

I was actually quite scared for you in some of those places, I cannot believe some of them were actually being lived in, what the hell? However your final climb up that very steep hill shared a real abandoned gem with you. As you said, nit very much in the house and yet it actually revealed so much about the people that once lived there. Another excellent trip, thank you for the care you take. Thought you'd like a little history - The Midland Bank Pass Book is pre decimal (1972) and it was the bank teller that wrote up the details when you visited the branch. At a rough guess that was his 'burial money' a common practice at the time to save enough money to pay for the burial, wake and sorting out the house after their demise. I believe the total is £98 - 11 shillings - 9 pence. At the time a civil servant at the Labour Exchange was earning about £1,500 per year, think of the film The Full Monty!
