The Badnarik hit is the reason I fell in love with football. It was featured as the whole story on an episode of "This is the NFL" with all the classic music and epic narration. RIP Chuck, the last 60 minute player.
@@brianplanchard5048 No one cares or remembers, all anyone will remember is that Bush got laid the fuck out and ended up on highlight reels for the wrong reasons.
Still missed one of the hardest hits ever. Cam Wake and Ndamukong Suh demolishing Bryce Petty in a Wake Suh Sandwich. I'm pretty sure he still feels it 5 years later
Also not seen here is the hit of Jack Tatum that left Daryl Stingley paralyzed. I don't believe there has ever been a more vicious hit. And no hits of Bobbie "Night Train" Lane laying guys out with a clothesline that was legal at the time. It was because of those vicious hits that the clothesline was made an illegal hit.
I can't imagine taking some of those hits in the earlier days of Astroturf (i.e. Dave Meggett 4:08 - 4:37). The "turf" back then was closer to concrete than grass. Just brutal

I don’t think people understand how insane Brandon Jacobs running over Laron Landry like that was. Please look up a picture of Landry dude is/was a tank.
Props for not including Anquan Boldin getting his face cracked into pieces by the Jets. Even though it's easily one of the worst hits I've ever seen I never need to see it again.
@@O-D-X If you don't know what I was referring to, please go ahead and watch Patrice O'neal's football bit from his special 'The Elefant in the Room' where he was talking about how brutal his era was to today's game of football.
Joe Ferguson did not remember the next 3 days after being sent flying by Marshall in that game and still can not remember the hit after almost 40 years.
That first one was super big, they left him a wiiide gap. He got to full speed stepping into the tackle; he didn’t even see him which for sure you could hear the BOOM in the crowd.
I know Jim Otto wasn't in this. BUT I'm only bringing it up because if you look at old film, his helmet was beyond dented. IT WAS CAVED IN. The Raider logo was removed from the helmet by the end of the game.
That josh jacobs truck stick on Landry is the most vicious of all time. Landry by no means is soft or lacks size and he just Got annihilated…..fasho sonic rings
@@talon_xi They know the risks when they sign the contract. Plus with all the newer and safer equipment, there's no excuse as to why they can't hit like they did 20 years ago. Not to mention their salaries. If the Goodell League insists on paying most of those egomaniacs 5 times what they should be making for how little they play, they should bring the hitting back and make these guys earn their multi-million dollar contracts.
1st off some of these hits are by current players and are legal hits. There are still big hitters on both sides of the ball they just have to follow a new set of rules. 2nd modern players are on average bigger and stronger than players of the past. They can bother hit harder and withstand bigger hits. The game is played differently but it is still a violent physical game.
I know just tell Reggie Bush feels one time I get hits so hard I was crawling like that but I felt like I was in a bad trip and the whole entire world was Green
That Reggie bush hit is legendary
Now imagine if Brian Dawkins laid the hit
@@Christopurrrrr no more Reggie bush, Brian would have hospitalized him and ended Reggie’s career tbh
fun fact. I went to high school with Sheldon Brown. I've been hit by him like that. It hurts. A lot.

Yeah, who won that game?
@@brianplanchard5048 No one cares or remembers, all anyone will remember is that Bush got laid the fuck out and ended up on highlight reels for the wrong reasons.
That music at 3:20 though. "Sometimes those helmets get dented!" ...do do do dododo do. Wow.
Good to hear John Football's voice. And I still remember that Keyshawn hit. A QB has to really be pissed at a receiver to throw him into one of those.
That last one has always been my favorite NFL hit of all time
Changed Reggie bush career
The best clean hit ever.

Damn Ray Lewis just jacked up a 245 lb fullback like he was a third down scat back
Ward knocking Reed out and letting the sideline know mid play is so on brand.
I love how back in the old days, bone crushing hits were replayed many times over and carefully analyzed by the commentators. 😂
Yep it’s time to bring the violence back to football and bring back Jacked Up

7:38 - The hit on Reggie Brown must have felt like falling out a two-story window.

Reggie bush still feeling that hit 15 years later🤣

Chuck Cecil was a monster in his prime. This whole video could have been hits hits alone.
6:49
I was at that game, it was my first time going to an NFL game, and I remember that hit
Jeremy Shockey brought into his ego if not he's a gold jacket player
Can you do "NFL sleeping on the job plays"? Where there's a missed assignment, not knowing what to do, standing around, etc.
this is a good idea
Gotta love the old timey clips set to cheerful music.

"He's paralyzed"

Go watch Jack Tatum paralyze Daryl Stingley for life, not sure if you will make such comments again. There is a reason Tatum was called the Assassin.

That hit on Bush is textbook-legal, too. When they start flagging hits like that, I'm switching to other sports.
That jack taytum dude was such a dirty playerb
I can't even begin to Express how bad that really feels it's like getting hit by a car
That catch by White from Vikings. Man... 🤯
Yeah, he is just lucky he could walk away, considering what Jack Tatum did to Daryl Stingley, leaving him paralyzed for life.
Harold Carmichael caught a pass in 127 consecutive games. That streak ended abruptly at 7:19.
Some of these are tough to watch all I can think about is the brain rattling around in their skull causing severe damage that can’t be repaired
That Sheldon Brown hit changed Reggie Bush. He was a phenom prior to that hit. After that, he was a good player, but nothing like what he was before
Lessons to be learned. Do not throw in routes when a MLB is present. Do not throw corner routes when coverage is 2 deep.
That Night Train Lane hit might be my favorite one of all time

7:38 Sheldon Brown ERASED that man.
I went to high school with Sheldon. Been hit just like that. It hurts
There's playing football, and there's deliberately trying to hurt people--two different things.
