“No food, drinks, and blue screen before sleep? Yes! Absolutely correct!” - me nodding in approval while watching this at 4 am and finishing the second slice of chocolate cake
Hi Cassandra. Thank you for this video. I am 34 years old and have never done anything to my face apart from cleanser and face cream. Always been reserved to trust media but after watching your videos I am happy to hear that my logic was right all along! However I wanted to ask about the microcurrent device. Do you recommend it? I got bit confused if it will make more wrinkles? I smile a lot and want to improve my smile lines. Genetically all my family has them so it's a charm too. Want to stop them from getting deeper. Many thanks 😊 🙏
Imagine if everyone was happy with themselves and just did what they needed to be healthy. I’m worried less about anti-aging and anti-acne with skincare recently, and I’m focusing on skin health.
I wonder how old you are? When I was in my 20, 30 even 40 I felt the same way. I did use a simple routine and I did use SPF but not like I now because I didn't know what we know now. At 62 I feel differently I hate the hyperpigmentation on my face. I hate the deep wrinkles on my forehead and my pores which have gotten bigger as I age. It makes my makeup harder to apply and look good. Plus unfair as it is women often get maralinzed when we get up in age. So anti ageing is important to many women's emotionally health.
J.Marlene, I’m on 0.1 percent Tazarotene for acne. That’s the most irritating and powerful topical retinoid in use today, with worse side effects than tretinoin. I struggled with acne for eight years and was on differin for two years and nothing completely got rid of it. I’ve been on tazarotene for a month now and it’s helping so much, but I still get acne and I still get red bumps on my face. It’s going to take a few more months for it to completely get rid of my acne, but I honestly don’t care anymore. I can have acne and still have healthy skin.
Carol Gibson, I understand that. I’m only 19 so I don’t know what it’s like to have wrinkles but I definitely caused myself photodamage (which is finally healing) when I was younger and into tanning. I’m definitely going to continue using daily sunscreen, and using retinoids, but I’m not going to buy things BECAUSE of anti-aging claims. I feel that that only adds to the stress associated with skin issues. I’m just going to do what’s healthy for my skin, and reap the benefits without stressing.
@@brekke668 I consider it a protest of female beauty standards to just take care of my skin and not worry about signs of aging, similar to focusing on being healthy instead of being thin. My mother has absolutely beautiful skin despite never being much into skincare and not at all being interested in anti aging. She's just always focused on enjoying life, she avoids the sun when she's outside, drinks lots of water, has been a vegetarian since she was about 30. I think we women need to start coming together and supporting each other in focusing on our physical and mental health and our hobbies, interests and goals that don't relate to beauty. Those are all so much more important than how we look.
Imagine if the women of the world practice non judging other women no matter how they decide to present themselves to the world whether it’s a full face of makeup, wrinkle reduction or just a clean face?
I was that little girl! long hair in a tight bun for ballet and my mom would put my hair into headache pigtails everyday for school. by the time I was 18/19 my temples were bald.
@@goosty17 i think if you don't pull your hair a lot it probably is fine put jojo's ponytail is one that pulls a lot and i think she uses more than one hairtie
@@artsyzilla4738 She's wrong about facial exercises/yoga. She repeats the fallacy that facial exercises make wrinkles. Most experts on facial exercises tell you to hold the skin against the motion of the muscle. I have been doing facial exerces correctly for years and I have not created any wrinkles.
There are many scams and a lot of money to waste. I think I might go back to facial exercises again. They are actually fun and even though the improvements are not huge they are visible. I am certainly not going to needle myself. No pun intended
I love it how you talk so fast like in a panic state.. It really saves a lot of time.. Unlike other channels who talk so slow and makes you sleepy.. This is good.. Like a panic mode.
I know that facial Yoga Works because I've experienced it personally. You hold the skin with your fingers to prevent wrinkling while working out the muscles. I've seen a quite obvious difference and Improvement in my skin and it's laxity or lack of it.
Exactly what I do, I hold the skin part which is wrinkling with my fingers while I do the exercises, so it doesn’t create other wrinkles, and it does work, it strengthen your muscles under your skin for sure !!!
She really bashed this aspect . In some areas of the medical field we utilize a treatment that is similar it’s called orofacial myofunctional treatment and it’s used to rehabilitate the muscles of your face 😅 to assist patients in multiple areas it’s actually evidence based. Wish she knew her actual facts and got her statements more accurate.
Dr. Shah, one of the Dermatologists behind the Doctorly youtube channel, has a different opinion on the electrical current tools like the ones you recommend. He didn't call them BS but couldn't recommend them. He personally used them for 30 days and studied hundreds of research studies. He describes his findings in great detail. I would suggest anyone considering this option should watch their video for advice from Doctorly.
When you do facial yoga, you’re supposed to hold the skin gently in place with pressure. My mum does facial yoga, she’s 56 and her skin looks like she’s maybe 35 (and no, she never used sunscreen. I only recently convinced her to wear it). Do facial yoga properly and it works.
@@Catherine-wt3st there’s a woman on RUclips called face yoga method. She’s more qualified than I am to explain it so she’s a great resource. My mum follows her videos :)
This is a beautiful info patch, although I disagree on skin yoga, as it helps to relax some mussels and prevent big wrinkles in certain places. I agree that it can bring some extra wrinkles, but to me it has more benefits than harm. ❤️
I've been doing Face Yoga since February and I have noticed a difference. I don't have more wrinkles. Don't do it for 15 minutes either. Each exercise is done 3x to the count of ten. I do my neck, my chin, my laugh lines, my eyes and my forehead. Takes 5 minutes.
The thing that worries me about face yoga is that wrinkles come over time. I mean, I use the same facial expressions for 34 years, but only in the recent years I developed wrinkles in the areas that I move mostly because, well, aging and long term effect. So on the one hand, I'd like to give face yoga a try, but I don't think a few months are enough to tell if it will cause more wrinkles in the long run. And yes, I know I shouldn't worry so much about wrinkles in the first place, but body image issues are tough to combat.
I agree with everything except for the face yoga. The exercises you showed are nonsense, there are no benefits from them. I am doing a face yoga for four years and I saw results already after two weeks, the face was visible lifted. I massage my face with the oil and my hands only. The secret is to do opposite movements that your face does automatically without thinking, you can really balance your face by massaging specific points on your face, you can even get rid of the headaches or stress. There are many techniques and people are doing that for ages like acupuncture. I believe in that, because it works for me, I can see results in my "before" and "after" pictures.
thank you! My thoughts exactly when I was watching. I was also wondering why not just recommend Gua Sha Tool instead of Nuface? Because Gua Sha and face massage helped me so much to sculp my face without spending money like crazy on Nuface
@@shalimar360 Check Olgatoja, she is my favorite I started with her. Then you need to decide what do you want to improve in your face (skin elasticity, wrinkles, double chin and so on) and look after that particular problem fixing video. I have done many, I tried, but it didn't stuck with me. I liked Japanese face yoga as well. You need to adjust to your skin, it should feel good, relaxing, like a morning meditation and you should see results (take a picture before and after). I started to see it after two weeks and I was very surprised (I didn't expected to see it so soon) I did it religiously every single day 15 to 30 min (time depends on what you are trying to achieve and your age, I am 48 so I need 30 min, if you are 20+ you can get away with only 5-10 min yoga) every morning. You can do it in the evening, but usually we have problems with puffiness in the morning, so it fixes that right away.
Agree! There at least a dozen ways to "work the face" that don't incorporate making your skin wrinkle, lol. I don't know who would think that smiling repeatedly or raising your brows wouldn't cause wrinkles.
Cosplayers: Oh, I can use double eyelid tape to make my face look more cartoonish for the day! Skincare companies: Aha, new idea for permanent product!
double eyelid tape came from asian countries to give them double eyelids because a lot of them have monolids and they do it because of the beauty standards there, cosplayers didn't do shit
Face exercise definitely works! And I , for one, have seen great results. It's, however , a lot of work! And I'm not that disciplined. But when I start doing it , oh, boy do I see the difference both in complexion and tone. The skin gets brighter and plumper. The woman's comments in the video regarding it are downright misleading!
Hi I justo would say that the face tape was never mean to ve as a skincare tape. It was usted for stage make up and drags or to do a character. Then moved to special events for Matute skin make up, like if you are attending a special events AND u want a specific look or lift for photos NOT TO DAILY USEEE
I’ve been using the SIO forehead patch for some time now - maybe 3 times a week. I see a positive result in the morning and if I do back to back nights, I see better results. I wish I could discipline myself to use it more! I get more uses out of my forehead patch by wearing a spa headband to keep it in place. I also use my NuFace regularly and not only have less wrinkles, but the tone of my skin is better and I think my pores are smaller and tighter. And since I am 65 … this is a very good thing.
I love the way you explain with examples so everyone watching understands what you're actually saying and making sense for people who are not educated in skin care (myself including). Loved the video look forward to the next one ❤
So glad I found your channel and I’ve had my Nuface for one week and I was so worried you were going to say it was crap. So glad you like it ... after one week I already see a difference but I know it’s a commitment. Thank-you for all the work you out into your channel.
How did you decide on NuFace please? Does it seem well made? I read a lot of reviews about them breaking or not charging after a week. I know there's a warranty but still.
KayLasVegas Good question. I’m 59 and not happy with the aging process ... lol! I watch Angie at Hot & Flashy. She does a lot of research and I trust her opinion over others. I’m not expecting a miracle, but so far I think I am seeing a difference. I’m retired now so I have the time to do it every morning. That will change after five to six weeks. The quality seems very good and no trouble with it so far but it’s only been three weeks. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I follow most of Angie’s anti aging skin care routine. Hope this helps. 🙋♀️
I like you! And what I like most is that you let people know you hear them by tapping back! None of this is easy but, you make an attempt! I would love to see you review and compare Mary Kay Time Wise Repair! I do love their products but, they are horribly expensive! I'm trying to find something that equals the quality yet, is affordable for rich, deep and dark complexions! You just saved me some money. Instead of buying Mary Kay's $70 mask, I think I'll try your Sio Beauty pads! Thanks!
Dear Cassandra, I never thought I would see one video of you where I have to call you out. And since you're always asking your viewers to call you out when someone disagrees, I'd like to point out that you didn't do a very good research on that face yoga movements. These are nonsense and scare me. The term face yoga is unfortunately often used as a blanket and it could be misleading since it is also often standing for massaging your face, doing lymphatic drainage, doing korugi etc which in my opinion are very useful exercises if you do them correct. You presenting face yoga the way you did could potentially scare off people of doing further research on that topic. But since I myself have been sculpting my face for the last three years I can guarantee you do get visible results with certain massage techniques . And since you're always spreading the awareness on spending your money consciously which is so amazing btw, it would've been amazing have you shown the affordable alternative to Nuface which is Gua Sha. I am aware that Nuface speeds up the results but Gua Sha does just the same job only slower but it is affordable and gives you good arm muscles over the years as well ;) I am sorry if my tone is off or my grammar is not on point, english is my fifth language. Other than my critique I really appreciate the work you're doing! Thank you so much
you are talking about an entirely seperate issue. facial exercises and facial massage are two VERY different things. she was speaking about facial exercises, NOT gua sha. to my knowledge shes never mentioned facial massage like gua sua. those are VERY different. and gua sha is backed by science because its lymphatic drainage and does actually depuff and shape the face. so before you go off, maybe you shoulda paid attention.
She is wrong about facial exercises, which, as pointed above, are erroneously called facial yoga. Facial exercises with resistance are excellent to build muscle.
@@goldieknox03she has a point, as Cassandra did mention that facial exercises are a waste of time. Though Gua Sha can be similar but that's by using a tool. Look she's just a youtuber not a expert. Just because someone is trained and works in the beauty industry doesn't mean they are right on everything. I've had good and bad ones at Clinics, she is just advising us with her knowledge and what she believes doesn't work for her. If Nuface was rubbish it wouldn't be a best seller.
@@julieperez9219 I never said that I disagreed with her point as a whole I just commented on her understanding about facial yoga, which is completely different from mine apparently. But it doesn't mean that I missed the point it just means I have a different opinion. It's not wrong, it's just MY opnion. I just think it's a bit rude to assume that I didn't hear what she was actually saying. I am very happy there are people like Cassandra on this unfortunately mainly toxic platform. I'm just a bit biased when it comes to Face Yoga because not only did it change my whole face shape it also relieved me from a lot of health issues I've been having for years. And how amazing would it be when people would just research this topic more and be more open minded towards these methods even if it's just for beauty reasons! Women wouldn't run to surgeons to get botox into their face in their early 40-ies. So the only issue I was having was Cassandra kind of ridiculing face yoga in the way that could potentially scare people off to dive deeper and find for themselves if it works or not. And since she has a huge platform she should've done better job at researching face yoga instead of showing a couple of weird face movements and claiming those as facial yoga. This was not a good representation of face yoga at all. And I don't see how it was me "missing a point" But thank you for your comment I like to practice my english and working on expressing myself precisely :) have a good day, I hope my reply wasn't too much
1) Face tape is an Excellent and Safe way for seniors to look great for a very special occasion like at their grand kids wedding. And if you use it correctly (usually by a professional makeup artist) you cut the excess tape off so it does not pull hair. 2) You’re misrepresenting Face yoga. It works great and so does the electric stim you showed. Just like the rest of the body we tend to become very toned in one direction and weak in the opposite direction. So in the case of strong frown muscles we pull our mouth down and our brow together even when we don’t mean to because those muscles have more tone than their smiling counterparts. Face yoga is not at all random or extreme in its movements like you described. It targets the smile muscles to firm up the face in an upward direction. But the electric stim is the lazy way and that’s why I like it more. I’m much more likely to use a wand than do actual face therapy. 3) Im not sure of the ingredients in the moon milk you are referring to but I use hot Milk honey cinnamon and nutmeg. The milk has tryptophan, the raw honey releases serotonin that converts to something else I can’t remember what, the nutmeg is a sedative. Taken a half hour to hour before bed it should not cause acid reflux unless you are lactose intolerant. And if you are sleeping properly and deeply your body releases an anti diuretic that will shut down urine production until a half hour before you wake in the morning. If you are waking in the night to pee you are not sleeping well. I wake far less on nights I make my sleep drink. I used to wake 7 times a night, but now only once. The eye mask is super helpful and I use silicon swimmers ear plugs so all I hear is my heartbeat. In short if a remedy has worked from the beginning of time across many cultures it is probably pretty sound advice at least to try. P.S. I love the silicone stickers. I where the one on my forehead at night. And when I go for my morning walk it fits under my hat. Keeps me from squinting into the sunshine. :)
I would argue that facial yoga is not for the skin, but for the muscles, because muscle loss causes sagging and that is much more aging than a.couple of wrinkles. However, you are right about the microcurrent devices; they are even better than face yoga. If getting micro current treatment is too expensive, one could try to just hold positions isometrically.
Also agree! Properly done face exercise (call it yoga or not) can make a very positive difference- I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my face since I started to exercise! Still agree microcurrent devices are an excellent tool 👍😊🌺
The at home devices are quite effective and inexpensive, they are not as powerful as our spa machines, but they get the job done and can be used more frequently than ours.
Right! I'm shocked when I see ads or info for ANYTHING that promotes pulling or tugging at the skin! That's a definite no-no as it causes elastin to breakdown over time. Buyer beware of these self-proclaimed, or otherwise, "experts"! I watched a video where a 20-something was introduced as a skin expert by a VOGUE reporter and then proceeded to demo how to care for your skin ... she was literally applying lotion to her skin with so much pressure that she was creating skin waves!! Some "expert". So much bullshit everywhere.
I use certain face yoga exercises and I do see improvement in my lines. No new lines. Been doing this for years and it does work. You’re not to be super aggressive with them. It does work without side effects. Shrug
You are right. If you do it right, plus use proper skincare, face yoga is great. It is not just making grimaces. So sorry Cassandra, but you are talking BS about face yoga.
I have a very asymmetrical smile and a minor face yoga exercise has helped correct it a bit. I could see how going overboard with things could be an issue though
@@mave143 There is actually a clinical study showing that it does improve skin appearance and doesn't cause wrinkles. If you want to read more about it, it's here: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5885810/

@@Lily_of_the_Forest Hi Lily, I use facial Yoga (Fish face, O and others), this channel provides multiple exercises its very effective, for me I saw results in 2 weeks ruclips.net/user/BlushwithmeParmita
I was just about to comment the same. Any facial exercise is great IF you move the actual muscles (not just stretching, pulling the skin). It's amazing. When I did it religiously daily (and ate well, did outdoor exercise), I changed so much for the better that my neighbours walked me by, didn't recognize me. A few highlights in your hair and you literally have a whole new look in a matter of weeks. After a just a few days or a week you will feel the muscle working (not the first time, just like with any other other workout, it takes a little time to actually FEEL you have Abdominal muscles and yes it hurts when you start, you will definitely feel the tightening in your face, it's because you do it right!). Just look at the people who play instruments such as the trumpet, they all have bouncy cheeks, - yes we still going to age, you won't end up with a "different face" but visibly firmer, smoother & volumous..... besides, truth be told, nothing ages you more the EATING RIGHT BEFORE BED TIME. That will visibly make the skin/face look older and you won't be rested. Once you decide to stop eating after 17:00 'o clock or sevenish at the latest, you will have results VERY fast.. add a bit of face workout toning exercises, one celery juice (or just celery added to your meals, salads) and Voilá.. you'll have clear pores and a more defined face in just a week. Keep going with it, you'll end up with a great facial routine, that you'll able to incorporate into your days - while cooking or getting dressed, don't have to sit down like in the beginning until you are learning - and you'll be surprised how VISIBLY firmer your face will look. Try adding a few eye exercises too, just going round and round ever so gently... I promise you, it delivers. xx..
NuFace is definitely not for everyone. I experienced palpitations and headaches right after the first use, but the worst thing was that it made my slim face look even slimmer (bonier!), which is something you don´t want unless you have a round face and you´re looking for a more contoured look. Just be aware!
I started a while ago to avoid any sort of ponytails because of tension hairloss. Just once in a while for special occasions, but preferably not. Even though it is tempting because of the facelift efffect. Even in the gym, i started braiding my hair in stead of a ponytail and only if I am doing something that makes it risky to have my hair loose.
When I developed Fibromyalgia, it came along with a lot of fun symptoms including interrupted sleep, hormonal changes and GERD. In addition to having to overhaul my entire diet, I'm on a prescription medication. If I miss even one day, it feels like I'm being eaten from the inside out. You do NOT want GERD. I'd rather have wrinkles.
YASS!!! Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. MOONMILK has got to be in the top 10 most BS trends thus far. I heard about the Sio patches but couldn't remember the name of them. I've heard they can help with c-section scars as well. Again, thanks so much. Checking them out now!
I’m so glad you spoke about the SIO patches. I feel more confident to place my order, now. I started then stopped. So now I’ll finish placing the order.
This has nothing to do with skincare but you pronunciation is so easy to understand for someone who's not from english speaking country like me. Thank you very much
Cassandra, i’ve discovered that creams are just to retain water into the skin. Many people are scared by not using the patches due to not using the cream, but i think it has the same “mantaining water”benefit
What is so confusing Yoga and muscle conditioning benefit the body the fsce is art of the body and full of beautiful muscles and they love exercise just like the physiwue from tje neck dow. Eople pushing products and rocedures 'debunk' it becausevits effective and FREE
I’ve seen some Korean silicone sheet masks sold on Stylevana! Any idea if they do the same job. I’d think if they’re also silicone the same principle applies...?
FYI there are much cheaper options on Amazon that do the same thing. The sio patches are crazy overpriced. Ive started with sio patches and switched to the Amazon dupes and they do the same thing. The science in this video is dubious to say the least but these patches definetly give you a temporary boost.
I was hoping you would talk about Gua Sha and many asian dermatologists and beauticianists believe its a marketing scam! I am convinced that pulling on the skin will cause wrinkles in the end ...
I remember being told that you’re actually not supposed to put a lot of pressure when you use them. They’re for lymph, which requires really light pressure (if you’ve ever had a lymph drainage massage they’re really gentle and light)
i use mine with a facial oil (you’re supposed to do it that way) and it doesn’t pull or tuck at my skin a lot. It massages it lightly and due to the friction, I see immediate improved circulation (aka redness for a few minutes). But a lot of influencers use it on dry skin and therefore pull quite heavily.. not a good idea
It does not lift the face, it only aids in lymphatic drainage. I use mines on a dry face and go back and forth between my fingers and roller to stimulate my lymph nodes. It works to depuff your face, clear nasal congestion and acne congestion and speeds healing. A face-lift will not be the result, microcurrent however will give that result. Way to know you have stimulated you lymphatic system is swallowing alot and your neck throbbed around your collar bone.
I'm so intrigued by the silicone patches after both you and Dr. Dray speak so highly of them. So from what you're saying I can't use it on top of retina-A? I'm thinking crows feet and my chin where I have lots of wrinkles. I'm 65 and would love more videos on mature skin please!!! :)
Hey Beverly!! Great question!! you can use them with retinol in the same routine, but I'd recommend using them at separate times, because Retinol can make the patches slip :) I'd say wear the patches overnight, apply retinol during the day and stay protected from the sun! Or, if you want to use RA at night, just use it on the days you don't use the patches, or apply it around the patches so that they stick :)
@@CassandraBankson thanks for the advice! I love your videos and your honesty. I shared your BLM videos with friends who found them very inspiring and also shared. Stay true, Cassandra. This world needs more people like you!
You actually need to do more research in facial yoga though it actually works, the exercises you'll notice are to prevent everyday bad habits like frowning, squinting, creasing forehead this stuff works and it's free!!!! There are some dud face yoga moves out there of course but check out face yoga method she has legit moves!!
Just for a quick note about sleep - waking up in the middle of the night is pretty common, actually most people do have waking moments between sleep cycles. Those who don't think they have them essentially just don't remember them. There is evidence tha the entire amount of quality sleep you get is more important than doing the 8-hour in a row... So if you usually wake up at night, please don't feel worry or stressed about it. :) Otherwise loved the whole video, thank you for explaining things throw biology and science, so refreshing to find pages like yours on RUclips
Same with certain ways of face yoga.. Works extremely well for me if you include all muscles in your face equally and not over exercise, I definitely see a difference and my muscles are firmer.she Was also doing some weird examples of exercises no skilled person would advice.. So yeah, take those "debunked" videos with a grain of salt too, especially when the person is trying to sell something in the same time🤣
The nuface scientific evidence is paid for by the company so I’m not convinced. I’ve used it and I notice a difference, but I question if it’s long term results- because you have to continue doing it 5x a week. You can feel the little vibrations. But realize if you do your face and neck, it’s going to take 15 minutes each day you do it. And if you skip it for a few weeks, you’ve got to start from scratch. Basically, I got tired of counting that I did all off the spots 3 times for each section. I may start using it again. Definitely wait for it to go on sale.
Hi Cassandra, sorry for my English but I am Italian from Milano... anyway I am using since three month micro current device on my face and the results are really great!!! of corse I know, I have to use it often, exactly the same as for budy muscles.... I am so happy with it, i have no wrinkles at all, my face is plumped and it feel fantastic! My dream has become reality!!!! have a nice day 🌺
Ok weird I was JUST thinking this AM, why doesn’t anyone ever talk about overnight patches? I bought the same brand as you and...they actually do smooth overnight. Pretty rad stuff!
Honestly, this one pissed me off. I see that people try to be polite, as they like Cassandra. But mocking a certain field, so that you could promote products is a disrespect.
Cassandra stated on her channel that they work, but only some. The ones that work require goggles to avoid damaging your retina. She says that lightStim works.
Face tape was NOT made for long term, everyday use. It was made for the performance arts to wear during shows or photo shoots for maybe 3-4 hours max, and ONLY for a show or photo shoot. Microcurrent definitely works. I use the Clareblend Mini and it works like a charm. The secret is to use it regularly. Using a microcurrent with the right skin care products packs a one-two punch.
I love, loooove my NuFace. It's made such a huge difference in my 47 year old skin, especially in my brow/lid and smile. I'm not going to lie, it's a costly investment, but totally worth it. However, QVC has it on sale at least once a year with free shipping and six interest free easy pays. I bought mine about two years ago and it came with the regular attachment (like the one she had) and a smaller attachment that's specific for eyes and lips (kind of looks like intennas) and four large tubes of the microcurrent gel, which has hylauronic acid which helps pumps the skin. I used mine daily (or twice a day on some days) for two weeks and then weekly thereafter. I run into people that I don't see often and they always ask if I've had some kind of procedure because my skin looks pretty decent for my age.
Just wanted to share a much cheaper alternative for the SiO patches with even better reviews! Check out Feulover wrinkle patches. Identical to the more expensive SiO minus the collagen (which if you watch her videos you know putting collagen topically doesn't exactly work) but for half the price. Feulovers has a 16 pc set for under $25 that treat brow, smile lines, under eye and crows feet, lips, and chin. SiO set the treats brow, under eye, smile line, and neck is $50. I haven't tried either yet but just ordered and the Feulover reviews were much better than SiO on Amazon.
My mom used to do that to my hair when i was real young....🙄 I noticed my hairline didn't look like my friends and sores on my head from how bad she pulled my hair.... it was really bad. Ever since 6 th grade, i never put my hair up that tight again. (Nor my mother)
Since you talked about micro currant in this video, I was wondering if you could talk about Melanie Simons ZIIP device in a future video? I've heard it's supposed to be more effective and provide longer lasting results than the nuface but would love to hear your input!
NuFace not my fave. The Ziip is ok but kind of clunky to use. Conductive gel is way over priced. I would say results are same home units but the NuFace is zappy and not pleasant to use. Clareblend a Mini is my fave you don’t feel it. Nice lift though. Better technology with randomized frequencies. Made in USA.
Completely agree, randomized currency is definitely a factor - just like 'changing up'our weights/reps in resistance traing makes our muscles more responsive - using randomized current in our micro-current device just makes sense. There may be proven science behind this, idk for sure, but plenty of anecdotal evidence to prove its beneficial effect on muscle response, as well as stimulating growth factor hormones. The best, most knowledgeable weight lifters will advise us to 'keep our muscles guessing by upping weights, then lowering weight, upping reps, then lowering reps, etc. . It's especially useful in breaking thru a plateau. Makes perfect sense, IMO. that using randomized current in a facial M/C device, keeps our muscle more responsive than if we were not randomizing the current.
Have recently purchased the nu face mini, I’m really liking it so far, granted it’s only been a few days, but my face feels tighter and plump. Really interested in the silicone eye patches, I am a side sleeper so I get annoying eye creases when I wake up, hopefully these patches will help combat this. Enjoyed the video, helping us cut through the beauty BS👍✌️
What about lymphatic drainage massages? I've been doing them and the texture of my face has improved a lot! They can be a little rough at first, so here is where I have some doubts about them.
They’re amazing and they work. They aren’t a gimmick. We have used them in aesthetic dermatology for years. Gua sha is great as well following along the same principles which one can do at home.
The tape are supposed to be on special occasions, the neck ones are my god send , you haven’t got lose skin so basically you can’t test products to prove if they work or not ... ladies if these patches and little machine worked we wouldn’t have plastic surgery Sleep And Micro needling with RF is the way to go Just got to the end and OMG those not wonderful patches are paying for this ADVERTISEMENT
Hi Cassandra 😀 love your video contents always 🦋 I am practising facial robics it’s not yoga just as when you workout , the coach takes care of not having wrinkles by isolating face muscles. She is Australian and is fantastic. I am practising since February and it does work tremendously, my face is glowing. I love it and I am addicted now 🙈 there is no fatigue because there is week rest between working out. I can assure you that it doesn’t cause wrinkles, working out the face muscles at the contrary make them grow so smooth out the wrinkles, that’s my experience. When I was a teenager I used to have a ponytail and I noticed at some point that my hair line were falling... at the moment I stopped my hair grow back 😅 Have a fantastic day ❤️
Exactly, I would also not recommend microneedling if you really don’t have acne problems.. because you can damage your upper layer and barrier and skin looks just more tired and older.. less is more. Be careful.
What was that movie with Eddie Murphy with Morgan Fairchild using that electric current to look younger and selling it on a home shopping network? Some of these remind me of that.
Tea, coffee and lemon - they have certain amount of acid, so it's a bad idea to drink them first in the morning since it's harmful for an empty stomach. Just drink water, water is enough.
That's funny you mention face yoga / exercises. I run an eBay store and while going through a box that my mom gave me to sell that was full of random stuff, I came across some vintage 90's facercise cassette tapes and wondered if anyone even does that anymore! Maybe I will list them after all, they're perfectly usable! If anyone here wants em, I'd be happy to discount you for being a Cassandra fan! 😆
Tired of hearing about the silicon skin patches. All of the RUclipsrs really promoting them usually are getting kick backs. It’s evident. Disappointing. Frownies were around for years and we used them in the beauty/dermatology industries to flatten the 11’s before Botox, etc.. But for the most part these are temporary. Don’t waste your money. Keep it simple and stay with the big guys: C serum, retinoids/retinol, HA, Niacinamide (if it works for you), sunblock, peels, micro needling, sleep, great hydration. Add in some Botox and peels and laser when needed. 😊👍
There are no long-term studies on the efficacy of the patches. If the company fails to do long-term studies to back up their product, you can bet it's BS. Short-term, I find they work for about 5 minutes after removal. If you're doing yoga correctly, you don't wrinkle the skin with the exercises. You hold the skin in place while you work the muscles. And I know from experience that face and neck yoga does work. I totally got rid of my neck turkey waddle. As for the microcurrent thing, the most common consensus is that the hyaluronic serum they say to use with the device is actually the thing that temporarily plumps up the skin and that the device itself does nothing.
HI CASSANDRA, just wanted to point out that unfortunatly lot of people on the autism spectrum/asperger do not produce enough melatonine and have to take supplements/circadin or the like, avalable over the counter freely in the US but only via a psychiatre in the UK. vitafusion sleepwell gummies is a good one, it is recommanded however to take 5 days and have a break of 2 . also can give you really weird vivid dreams. but when you do all the tricks in the book, no blue light, no excitement, weighted blanket, relaxing pillowspray and are still turning and tossing then they really are worth taking. I hope this help someone outhere
I just ordered a microcurrent device that’s very similar to the one that you have in your hand but I don’t know how much to go and you have it is but yeah so I’m glad that you said that was OK to useAs I am 68 years old and I’m really trying to keep my skin nice
I do not agree with opinion about fce yoga. It's completely not about only making faces in front of the mirror. Properly done face yoga includes warming up, working out the muscles (incudes musce isolation and wrinkle prevention) and stretching afterwards. And it does gives really good results. Maybe you have seen some videos of women who don't know how to do it, but like with skin care routine and every other thing you need to have your own brain and do your own resarch, period.
That is so f..king true.. for better sleep i m doing some stretches after work, drink water and eat properly and i can tell you that staying at tv or at computer delays a lot your sleep or the quality of it. Regarding wrinkles: its so funny that i was thinking at the same thing these days, because i put this year braces for my teeths and i m trying to smile properly, and some wrinkles had appeared :)) hahah you re doing a very great job here and hope to be more people like you.
I've read that tens machines can't build muscle, although some are marketed to give you a 6-pack and a booty lift. The way a muscle fires, twitches, etc isn't replicated by micro-currents. Wouldn't that apply to facial muscles too? Aren't these devices the same as tens machines? I'm hoping the answer is no because I want to believe and I want to order one! Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks for this video. I'm just starting out a facial yoga routine. Your explanation about creating more wrinkles than soothing them out makes great sense
After what I went through putting my hair in a pony everyday for 4 yrs maybe you could do a video on ponies and why they are bad for your hair and maybe an alternative solution for us girls w thick hot hair. Because honestly I have a huge bald spot from wearing my hair in a pony everyday for 4 yrs and I had no clue the damage it was going to cause. I have a feeling there's a lot of people out there just like me...they don't realize the damage ponies do to the hair....as I'm touching my bald spot from wearing ponies 😭😭 I really appreciate all the info you are putting out there for us. ❤❤
I don't think you understand what face yoga is. Face yoga prevents the facial skin from SAGGING and nothing else. Some people do it to make their faces look more symmetrical, some other do it to fix their double chins, puffy under eye areas, heavy cheeks and general sagging eyelid skin. It's just to help the muscles underneath get trained and lift up a little. If that reinforces wrinkles, so be it, that's okay. Wrinkles can then be targeted with other things, such as oil massage and retinol. Plus 15 minutes is a gross exaggeration, it's 2 minutes max, give or take. I mean I love keeping my face energized and active with my OWN movements rather than buying super expensive devices that send electrical whatever into my skin. That sounds like replacing normal exercise with those vibrating gym belts people used to use to get abs. Smh.
BUT... just like with muscles, they get used to weights. That's when you need to increase weights. Same with microcurrent So I assume at some point this will stop giving results and your face will get back to normal
Hmm, good point...however, when the muscles are no longer responding to their customized weight/reps, and we don't want to increase weight (or, in this case microcurrent), for whatever reason, the remedy is to increase reps. There does come a time, with resistance training, where we are 'maintaining' what we have achieved so far. If we have increased weight and reps as far as we can go, the muscles will maintain the growth (tone) we have achieved so far. We do NOT see muscles devolve into their pre-exercise condition if we reach a point where we are simply maintaining the plateau we have reached, by continuing to exercise. That's why continued exercise 'maintains' the muscle tone ee have achieved, but discontinuing the resistance exercise eventually brings us back to ' 'square one', our pre-exercise condition.
Face Yoga is not meant to be done stretching your face. If you are you are doing it wrong. I have done Face Yoga and have seen amazing results. I don’t stretch or pull and I also do lymphatic massage. I also know a lot of people that do it and all with positive results. It’s just a matter of knowing how to do it.
Sunscreen and retinol are the only things proven to improve the skin long term. Thank you for debunking this! Also, what are your opinions about facial massages?
I'm currently studying to get my Esthetician license, hoping to work as a Medical Esthetician, facial massages are amazing and aid your lymphatic system (immune system) when it comes to healing and depuffing your face. The microcurrent she spoke of is probably your best bet for lifting the face without surgery, watched my classmates faces change after practicing on each other.
I have a great tip for the skin patches....i bought Tac Gel off Amazon. When my patches lose their stickiness, i add this Tac Gel, it is verry sticky, it increases the life of the patch. It is used in the medical field, maybe to keep those electro pads to patients? Not sure. Now, i dont know if this stuff is bad for your skin, i personally have had no problems. The patches work miracles for the cleavage area. 😊
You clearly know very little about facial exercises or the correct way to perform the exercises. 62 years old: no nasalabial folds, no crows feet, no wrinkles on forehead, eyelids are not crepey, eyebrows lifted and nose tip not drooping. The only area that I haven't been able to stave off the look of aging is under my eye and therefore I have hollows. Been doing them for 30+ years. I also added microcurrent in last few years, but found proper execution of facial exercises much more effective.
Hello, first time watcher here, just wondering where you got your sources (science based) for the Sio Patches. tbh, it seems like they could so easily trap bacteria. Also, you aren't able to use your skincare products, nor allow your skin to breath! Not to be negative, was just a thought.
Skin doesn't breathe, so don't worry about that one. These patches work just like any other good occlusive does (yes, silicones are good and aren't the devil as the "natural/clean" skincare movement would have you believe). Silicone patches existed before SiO, medical-grade silicone has been used for decades to smoothen scars.

Same, the passion is just so good! One of the things I love about her! She is REAL!
It’s actually embarrassing that she’s so sassy when she’s wrong with some of her information. Just loud and wrong.

I know that facial Yoga Works because I've experienced it personally. You hold the skin with your fingers to prevent wrinkling while working out the muscles. I've seen a quite obvious difference and Improvement in my skin and it's laxity or lack of it.
What exercises do you do? Can you tell me please
Her genetics is probably a bigger factor than face yoga.

Face yoga has done wonders for me, but she don't get money from that lol
Pauline MacLeod what program do you follow?
I think she was talking about a long term effect though. I don't think she meant that you'd get wrinkles over night. That was my take at least.
I do them to. Once I hit 55 I knew it was time for something--but I was not injecting or cutting anything.
Can you suggest some face yoga ... please
Exactly
Agree! There at least a dozen ways to "work the face" that don't incorporate making your skin wrinkle, lol. I don't know who would think that smiling repeatedly or raising your brows wouldn't cause wrinkles.

Yes that is true
I agree. Face yoga is amazing!! I also tape….frownies and/or medical tape at night on your wrinkles while you sleep will do wonders!!!!
Hi I justo would say that the face tape was never mean to ve as a skincare tape. It was usted for stage make up and drags or to do a character.
I know right? I also use microcurrent and I was getting ready to cringe because I expected her to harp on it.

Instead of buying Mary Kay's $70 mask, I think I'll try your Sio Beauty pads! Thanks!
Dear Cassandra,
I never thought I would see one video of you where I have to call you out.
I am aware that Nuface speeds up the results but Gua Sha does just the same job only slower but it is affordable and gives you good arm muscles over the years as well ;)
I am sorry if my tone is off or my grammar is not on point, english is my fifth language.
I think you missed her point and didn't hear what she was actually saying 🤔
And I don't see how it was me "missing a point" But thank you for your comment I like to practice my english and working on expressing myself precisely :) have a good day, I hope my reply wasn't too much
I've done facial exercises for bell's palsy. It did indeed, help. Not 100%.
i love how the facelift tape has a 20 year old selling the product. "You see, it works for me!"

Do they help to prevent sagging and wrinkles ? Is foreo bear good enough?❤️
@@stacy1986ful facial yoga is BS. You're wasting your time and will create more wrinkles with repetitive facial movements.

Basant Nabil hi, what program do you follow?
Me too. You have to put your hand where the wrinkles form and it prevents them from happening. I've been doing it for years and my cheeks are lifted as a result.

Basant Nabil thank you
I was just about to comment the same.
I bought a microcurrent device so my face would look slimmer.
Jowls....be gone!
Acid reflux is already bad enough, getting it *regularly* is even worse

Exackly! How can women w/ Great Gene's & LOTS of plastic surgery tell us what works.
Cassandra, i’ve discovered that creams are just to retain water into the skin.
Many people are scared by not using the patches due to not using the cream, but i think it has the same “mantaining water”benefit
If it is just to create a barrier, i mean cream that are more like wax
Face yoga works PERIOD seen women who have done it for years and they look incredible
That doesn’t mean it works, they probably have good genes but because they’re doing face yoga as well they attributed to it

I am really interested in trying those SIO patches for my smile lines and maybe forehead lines too. I saw Dr Drea talking about them the other day.
@@andread4985 I ordered some of the Sio patches I wasn't impressed with them thank u for letting me know about the other though.
Jen Green agreed! its usually for lymphatic drainage! not necessarily lifting the face/skin!!
i use mine with a facial oil (you’re supposed to do it that way) and it doesn’t pull or tuck at my skin a lot.

Think of Ariana Grande when she talks about ponytail girl.

I love how she keeps it real!!
Nuface is science-backed and as someone who personally uses it, I can attest to the pretty instant results!
Same with certain ways of face yoga.. Works extremely well for me if you include all muscles in your face equally and not over exercise, I definitely see a difference and my muscles are firmer.she Was also doing some weird examples of exercises no skilled person would advice.. So yeah, take those "debunked" videos with a grain of salt too, especially when the person is trying to sell something in the same time🤣
@The Science of Self-care, do you know if the Nuface targets the collagen or muscle layer or ate there different settings?
Derma roller does the same I believe. Boosts collagen and absorbs the products to the skin more
The nuface scientific evidence is paid for by the company so I’m not convinced.
What about the “led lights treatments”?
I run into people that I don't see often and they always ask if I've had some kind of procedure because my skin looks pretty decent for my age.
really? it works?
I have this too and need to get back to using…I’m never consistent and then pissed that it doesn’t work. 🙄

@@ChristineByerEsthetician thank you so much! I'll look into it!
Hi! I want to buy one but I keep reading they are not well made and break easily. Any thoughts since I've never seen one in person? Thank you!
What about lymphatic drainage massages? I've been doing them and the texture of my face has improved a lot! They can be a little rough at first, so here is where I have some doubts about them.
I use that massage for 4 years and I like it)))
They’re amazing and they work. They aren’t a gimmick. We have used them in aesthetic dermatology for years. Gua sha is great as well following along the same principles which one can do at home.

Hi Cassandra 😀 love your video contents always 🦋
I am practising facial robics it’s not yoga just as when you workout , the coach takes care of not having wrinkles by isolating face muscles.

Another Big Pharma shill.
It drives me crazy how many times she touches her face with her hands and pulls her face skin back... Ahhhhh stop touching your face. Lol

Ive been doing facial yoga for like 8 yrs now but not a single wrinkle

Yes there are ways to do it without folding and stretching too much. Some ladies have been doing it for over 20 years and they look great.
That is so f..king true.. for better sleep i m doing some stretches after work, drink water and eat properly and i can tell you that staying at tv or at computer delays a lot your sleep or the quality of it.

Maybe a bun with a few pins rather or a plait? It’s less tension.
you can also use a blue light filter like f.lux for pc/ma or android night light to reduce blue light when "working" late at night.
I am really curious what you think about face cupping?
Same here
Same
I don't think you understand what face yoga is.
Same with microcurrent
So I assume at some point this will stop giving results and your face will get back to normal
Facial massage worked for me especially for my laugh lines. I also do face yoga for my forehead.
Then why so many people have wrinkles? You're just spouting BS you've heard from others.
def gonna try 2 try that lemon water thing
Thanks to you and hyram I've been able to glow up my skin and skincare!
You are FANTASTIC!!! Great video
Was thinking about purchasing the Sio Beauty patches, and I def can’t do face yoga regularly so I’m kinda relieved watching this video lol.
