Packers are totally right to move on. It’d be a waste to not see what Love has and no matter what, Rodgers isn’t going to be your QB in a few years anyway. They’re actually pretty fortunate in a way that Rodgers regressed this year, it makes this a lot easier to swallow.

to be fair, ARod's been around for a long time. 16 years. Favre had 16 as well as the full season starter.
And to be frank, regardless of who's holding who hostage, the team needs to look into the future at some point. If the packers keep him around, it's just delaying the inevitable for another year. And that could be its own potential missed opportunity.
Personally, I want to see Love start next year and truly get his feet wet. I'm not expecting the world from him, nor am I going to expect the same level of clutchness or hero ball that Rodgers made his name on. But, just like Rodgers, he's had 3 seasons to sit behind and watch arguably the best of the generation play at his best, and has been given time to work himself into the team naturally. I want Love to get his two seasons to really try and figure out playing as a starter QB, and at least get the opportunity to make his claim.

As a 49er fan since the 1980s, seeing the team go from Joe Montana to Steve Young, then the era afterwards without them, I know the feeling Packer fans are going through right now. The 49ers tried to stay afloat after the cadre of the 90s were finally gone, but it fizzled out hard and the team went into a very dark era of being a "Doormat of the NFL" for a large part of the 2000s.
For years you had someone at QB that was never under question because they were good. Then all the sudden they're not there anymore. Now the most crucial position of the team is a sucking chest wound.
I was one of those guys that said Love needed to start around the midway or just past the halfway point of the season when things weren't looking so good for the Packers. You guys really need to see what your No 1 pick QB is all about.

If the Packers really go about getting rid of Aaron Rodgers, we’re still in a potential lose lose situation because if Jordan Love fails to be a promising qb right away, that’s major trouble for us and Brian Gutey and the entire front office need to be fired for drafting Love on the Packers and creating boiling division within our team over this topic. Hopefully if Love really does start as a full time qb, I’m hoping for the best outcome, but as of now, I highly doubt that Love will be the elite qb to bring the Packers to multiple Super Bowl wins that Gutey and the front office are hyping him up to be…

He built great relationships and boom they traded the players that mattered most. What I think will be interesting is who goes with him. If it looks good for Randall Cobb to play do you think he will follow AR? He wanted to retire with AR as a Packer but if the Packers give up AR...who's next do ya suppose. Out with the old into the new..even if they aren't ready. But that's the latest trend with Gutenkirst.

Had they put Love on the field last year, we'd know better what we have in him, and we likely would have had a similar win loss record. Plus we would have avoided signing Rodgers to that insanely high contract we seem stuck with now.
