what i want to know is how you don’t burn out? and how you aren’t super tired from a full day that when you get home, you don’t just wanna chill out for the rest of the night? do you ever become exhausted from such a busy schedule?!
This is all about self-discipline and determination. Yes, she probably is super tired after work/school! Aren't we all? But what's 30 minutes out of your day to edit RUclips vid/post IG pic/etc. What is 1 hour of just doing something you want to do? Like I want to work on sewing or dancing. If I really wanted to do it, I WILL put in that time to do so. EVERYTHING you do consists of sacrificing something else, whether it's not hanging with your friends, not having 8 hours of sleep, not drinking/smoking after work, or not being on your phone for the next 4 hours until you sleep. It's stuff like that you have to consider. :) The question is: What am I willing to sacrifice to get the things I wanna do, done? - This is simple, but not easy. Everyone always wants to do the easy way and unfortunately, that's not always the best way or even an option. :/ Self-discipline is a very hard skill to learn and requires day-by-day work. You can go on reading all the self-help books, motivational books all you want. It'll help get you motivated, but possibly not for long. At the end of the day, it's all about whether you are willing to do what you gotta do, or not. Hope this helps!
@@lunam9376 true words! But it is better to still get 7-8 hrs of sleep a night, just so that you can be more productive during the day. If sleeping less works for you, keep doing that! You are lucky! But if you find yourself getting a bit more tired than usual, maybe sleeping more could work for you

Especially with what I study, pretty much all my professors tell me in every class to sleep 8 hours. (I study Cognitive Science). I'm just saying to make a point though about sacrifice in general! What would you be willing to sacrifice? For me, SLEEP IS NEVER ONE I SACRIFICE. But more like I choose to not hang out with friends often, or not work at my serving job to focus on my school or hobbies. Maybe more so like, sleeping earlier instead of sleeping at 1/2am, so you can get up at 7-8am. Stuff like that :)
To all the people who burn out here’s how not to. Listen to a podcast,music or any thing you can enjoy as you do things. Try to make you tasks a game or fun. Self care ( baths, skin care food sleep not instagram stuff) and have a white board by your bed. It helps me make a to do list that I can erase as I do tasks. Hope this helps!
I have literally been doing the same spreadsheet every week for the last 5 years of my life!!! As someone who juggles 40 hours of uni, a full time clinical role, sports and volunteering- its crucial! When I moved out of home I even scheduled in when I did my washing, grocery shopped, cooked meals and got ready in the morning just because life was so hectic I needed to know that there was actually enough hours to do it all. I've tried bulletjournaling but tbh it didn't really worked for me and it just stresses me out more lmao. I thought studying a lot of time will be easier but I actually need to rest (I realized I'm so dumb when I'm overwhelmed HAHAHA). Getting overwhelmed with my schedule that's less busy than this, I searched online for solutions and this seems to be the answer! Love the video and the idea :) Hopefully I'll be able to focus and bring my grades back up before the end of the semester!
I also find it really helpful to plan out when I eat and how long I travel too places.. That way I can see more realistically how much time I actually got! Great video!

Today I was inspired by you and decided to actual create a plan like this for this week/semester. I have to say that it looks very overwhelming, but at least I know that I have enough hours a day to do what I need and that is refreshing. This is a very good idea. I hope it works for me :)
this is so cool, i'm right where you were in this video 2 years ago with work, uni, church, etc. - this was honestly so helpful, Rachel! the visual representation of it just made it seem a lot more manageable
I find it will be hard to go to church ,school (junior year I think it’s harder idk) , and I work(some people I work with will go out for school sports so that means working extra nights /longer nights), and I like to go home and spend some time relaxing and have a set time to read my Bible/pray... I know it’s gonna be hard because it was hard during the summer ... :)
as a full time uni student, casual retail worker and someone in 2 major uni societies, i love this idea but i live with my boyfriend and i find it so hard to plan my days without considering him

these are the times when I cry and breakdown because I can barely take a break.. the games I used to play are impossible to play now, now that I'm super busy full-time. My friends are getting frustrated with me because I can't play or socialize with them anymore like how I used to but I can't prevent it since I need the money for school and to survive.

This method is the best thank you for sharing this It helped me alot and I feel I really related to your way of life. I do my university studies them my islamic studies home chores and my art stuff these are my priorities. socializing , me time, social media and other stuff comes after them. I too belive in we all have 24 hours and our success depend upon how we utilise this time. I too plan my days but it had never worked out properly now i think using this method i can achieve much. I manage my time in exactly the same way. But now I realize that it does not work for me currently as being a fulltime student for me actually means fulltime. So 40 hours at least. Will try to see if I can cut down on work ... Oh and a tip for you: it has been really useful to me is to also plan my means in the same schedule. In that way when you are busy you have no excuse to skip lunch and take your time to eat mindfully.

I'm starting my first year of high school in the middle of a pandemic. It's kind of sad, but at least I have some time to adjust to studies before I have to balance out a crazy schedule.
Super agree with not filling up the calendar completely!!! I've made the mistake and when I realized things weren't going according to my calendar, I kind of freaked out and just ditched the whole thing. 😅
I thought my life starting october with 30-40 hours of work plus uni and trying to maintain hobbies/exercise routine was gonna be busy. The beginning of the video humbled me quickly 😂😂 i cant even imagine volunteering or having a bf beside what i’m gonna do.

Hey Rachel, I'm currently in matric and love to do makeup, singing,dancing, vlogging and the list goes on. I grew up in a family that always believe that education is the only key to success and as I'm finding myself I'm starting to not believe that and not giving school the attention I used to give. When it comes to me vlogging, or making makeup videos I am happy to do that but I tend to procrastinate when it comes to school I feel guilty that I don't have that much enthusiasm for school anymore… Is it okay to feel like this ?

I am curious how you manage to do all these things without taking a break in between? I feel like my mind can take around 30 minutes to an hour to just refresh after I complete a hard task? Also, how do you manage cooking and eating? I find that those are relatively large time sinks for me (and I would definitely classify eating as a necessity :D) Also, I have found that I need almost as much or more time to study for my classes as I spend in them - how do you manage without more than a couple hours for studying?
