This is great! I have just bought Nespresso Essenza mini recently. I am very new to pods and coffee machines and your videos have been very helpful! Thank you very much! Keep it up!
Thanks for sharing - this is my go-to coffee with the Nespresso. I never seem to get the milk as frothy and uniform as that though - it’s usually really thin with a small amount of really thick foam on top.
Hi there. A couple of tips could be to pour the milk out as soon as it finishes in the aeroccino, to stop any of the foam dissolving. Also using 100ml (or even a couple of ml less to get all that white foam out at the end) seems to help as it seems to create a little more froth than using more milk. If none of that works it may be worth getting a new spring for the aeroccino as I had a frothing problem in the past and that fixed it, though sounds like you are getting some froth from yours.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for your videos 🙏 had been wanting to buy a nespresso machine for a while but couldn't make my mind up till I found your videos, just finished a flatwhite using your recipe and looking forward to a cappuccino later this morning 😁😁
@@A2BProductions Yeah that’s the way to go. Or gran lungo...if you want a huge Starbucks size drink say 150ml gran lungo plus 200ml milk...had one of those just now. Delicious.
Thanks for the video. I'm trying work out if it's worth buying the Aeroccino3. In your video the milk froth looks great but I only see you pressing the button and it going red, I thought that was for heating the milk and the blue light is frothing, you didn't show this? So can you leave the frother ring on whilst heating and then click froth Once milk is heated? Apologies I'm confused now.
Hi 👋 So when you press the button and it goes red this then heats and froths the milk. How much it froths the milk depends on how much milk you put in (from experience) and also whether you leave the spring on the whisk or remove it. The blue light is for frothing cold milk. Hope this helps.
What machine would you reccommend for an occasional user. I like flat whites, latte etc . Would you go for a basic pod machine? With an aerocinno? If so what models would you reccommend thanks
Hi there. It depends on whether you like a strong or a milder coffee really. There are a couple of videos we’ve done in the past that may help - and the comments from others on them too. We made one titled ‘how to choose the best Nespresso capsule’ and also a ‘top 5 pods for milk based drinks’. Hope they help a bit!
Hi Linda. We used semi-skimmed milk for this one (though I do like the creaminess of whole milk). Semi skimmed is what we tend to have in the fridge. We did a video recently comparing some barista edition oat milks as they tend to froth up well. Very different in the way they frothed though, so may be worth watching that to see which one looks good to you. If you like oat milk that is?
Can the pod be used twice to make 2 cappuccinos if I use the espresso shot? I’ve recently bought the citiz and am confused how to use the pods/which ones to use/the espresso or lungo! Thanks.
Hi there. The general rule really is to use 1 espresso pod per shot of espresso and one lungo pod for a 110ml lungo coffee. That being said, there are quite a few in the range now where you can pour a pod as both an espresso and a lungo, so might be worth checking the box. Also know a lot of people break the rules and just do whatever works for them and their taste 😅
@@A2BProductions that’s great. I’m getting used to which ones to use now and my machine - thanks for your advice - and I’ll keep watching your videos. 👍🏻
Hi there. Sounds like the middle froth setting would work well for you. I’ll have a play around with the milk amounts to see what amount would work best for a 180ml glass or cup. I can try and post a video if that would help?
I bought the Vertuo Next & Aeroccino3 - it's still in the box in the car. Not sure if it's going to get space in my small place and/or if it's worth the time/energy. So far I'm noticing there are no pods for sale in grocery stores (?) And also learned that the Keruig and Nespresso pods are not at all compatible. Why so many Keriugs and no Nespresso pods out there? Must be ordered online and delivered I'm gathering. I'm traveling (car trip) and was hoping to spice up the sometimes disappointing AirB&Bs and rainy days at the beach with great coffee. Hope there's a vid on the whole pod business?
Hi there. We don't really have Keurig over here in the UK but we have a video on the channel that explains the difference between the VertuoLine and OriginalLine Nespresso machines which might explain why you can't find the Vertuo capsules on sale in stores. You may find Starbucks VertuoLine Capsules in-store but that might be it for a while I'm afraid. Here's the link in case it helps and hope you enjoy your trip 👍 - ruclips.net/video/ORbKh_VQOgI/видео.html
For what was shown in the video, a simple dot on top, I would just try to pour continuously in the same spot and then stop the pour sharply at the end. Also, try to use only the amount of milk needed and pour the milk out of the aeroccino as soon as it finishes frothing the milk, so the froth doesn't have time to collapse.
Hi there. That does sound like quite a lot of milk. We have another video where we made a cappuccino using a double espresso Vertuo capsule and think we used about 125ml of milk in that. Know those ratios don't seem to balance out but it just seems to taste right.
This is great.!Thanks. All your videos are really well presented. Do you have sites you can recommend for recipes using the Aerocinno 4 and the citiz? It seems everything on the nespresso site is geared towards the barista and vertuo. Do you think they'll stop selling the Aero and citiz eventually in favour of the Vertuo?
Thanks Henry! I agree Nespresso definitely seem to be pushing the Vertuo more recently (perhaps because they still have the patent on those capsules) but don't know if they'd go as far as to stop selling the OriginalLine and Aeroccinos as they're still hugely popular. As for the recipes, I'm not sure on other sites but you have inspired me to make more on the channel going forward if you think that would be helpful?
Great video, I'm hoping I can make a cappuccino very soon. I've just purchased an Aeroccino 3 from eBay but it doesn't have a power base. Would I be able to use it on a kettle power base or should I return the item?
Pritty much my morning routine just with a double espresso (India) or the purple one have a fue questions if you guys don’t mind 1.) is the spring on the spiny thing 2.) what type of milk 3.) what ml should my Machine be poring a single espresso Cheers for the video I have a simple set up have Inissia with that milk frother thinking of getting a better machine but it works good at the moment only have issues with the milk being too frothy and tastes strange. Cheers hope this makes sense keep the videos coming 👍
I actually had a double India latte today, really like that pod with milk. 1) Yeah spring on 2) Semi Skimmed (but whole is a bit creamier) 3) Nespresso say 40ml but have found they can jump around a bit with some machines I’ve found travel mugs can sometimes alter the taste but other than that we’ve found the milk froth from the Creatista machines or even the Barista Recipe Maker to taste a lot nicer, as the milk tends to mix with the coffee more. It doesn’t over froth if that makes sense. More of a wet froth than a dry froth. So if any offers pop up on those over the next few weeks it may be worth trying one. I haven’t managed to get a really frothy milk from the barista maker though, very subtle but nice. More like a flat white consistency really. Sorry if that reply was a bit long 😅
@@A2BProductions nope perfect mate just reset my machine to 40ml so see how that go’s will keep an eye out for any deals. I think I was adding too much milk and getting a over airy frothing. I’ve never heard of that cup you know but we all want a long lasting hot coffee don’t we so will definitely take a look 👍🏼 Cheers for the heads up.
Hi there. The aeroccino froth does tend to be quite airy so perhaps that's just not showing up well on the video but some tips could be to make sure the aeroccino is always completely dry before use, also if you're doing more than one coffee be sure to rinse it with cold water in between to bring the temperature of the unit back down to it's original temp. Also if you use more than 100ml of milk it can tend to stop it frothing up as much as you might like and also do pour the milk out as soon as the aeroccino finishes to stop any of the froth dissolving before you pour. Hope some of this helps.
A2B Productions thank you for all of the tips! I have sorted the bubbles, I don’t use the spiral as I like a smooth silky milk but I would like a small bit more froth which I can’t get without the spiral ha it’s catch 22... I will try all of your tips and if you have any more send them my way, you’ve thought me everything I know about nespresso I’m only new to it the last couple of weeks
Not how you pour a cappuccino. Milk first into the cup to get that milk and frothy foam top and then 25ml of coffee to get that half coffee and half milk foam cup.
