"I like the guy in the back who's just hitting the drums." - He's the son of Iceland's ambassador to the UK ;)
"I wish I knew what he was singing!" - Hatred will win, Europe will collapse, and love will die ;)

It's so weird to me that Hatari is pronounced exactly the same in Icelandic as it would be in Japanese. This comment is a bit random and off-topic, but I've noticed a lot of unexplainable similarities in Icelandic and Japanese and logistically I can't wrap my head around how that ended up happening 😂. Anyway, Hatari Mun Sigra! 🇮🇸💖

Hatari 12 points. ESC Reykjavik 2020! I have seen so many reactions like yours. Listen to it a second time and you will be hooked. Song is really a statement against nationalism, hatred and fascism. If we do not love hate will prevail and Europe will crumble. You can find translations here on RUclips: Here is one: ruclips.net/video/s3Z7Dim2AjA/видео.html . I recommend you also watch the official video ruclips.net/video/eVbShUW6QBM/видео.html although the live performance from the Icelandic competition is really great. Here's one from tonight at Spanish pre ECS party: ruclips.net/video/1k9bbfvgqgY/видео.html There are also several really good postcards from the Icelandic competitionruclips.net/video/31CFecsB5dI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/pvqyTl62C4o/видео.html . It is a performance and they are ironic but they are a ligit band and have some really great videos here on RUclips: ruclips.net/video/LS4YLbgVucg/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/0dnkpD_grOo/видео.html . Here's a great interview: ruclips.net/video/2m_pu4q0SbM/видео.html . Oh, and it is BDSM.

Wow, you have actually kind of the opposite opinions from most of the other reactors... most people find the high-pitched voice soothing and the main one a little bit offputting in the beginning. I had no idea what I was listening to first when I heard it but now I'm obsessed.

Hello love your reaction, the song is a warning against a rise in hatred in the world:
    HATE WILL PREVAIL
    Debauchery unconstrained.
    Hangover uncontained.
    Life’s purposeless confusion
    the void will swallow all.
    Hate will prevail.
    Every joy derail.
    Just treacherous illusion,
    fraud, futility.
    All that I saw.
    Tears ran raw.
    All that I gave.
    That I once gave.
    I gave you all.
    Universal obfuscation.
    Unilateral execration.
    From gullible delusion
    escape will be curtailed.
    The void will swallow all.
    Hate will prevail,
    and Europe’s heart impale;
burn off its web of lies.
    Now from that conflagration
    Rise in unity.
    All that I saw.
    Tears ran raw.
    All that I gave.
    That I once gave.
    I gave you all.
    All that I saw.
    Tears ran raw.
    All that I gave.
    That I once gave.
    I gave you all.
    Hate will prevail.
    Love- to no avail.
    Hate will prevail.
    Every joy derail.
    Just treacherous illusion,
    fraud, futility.
    Hate will prevail.
