    Lots of great finds in here Gabe, and I appreciate the tips for turtle ID. I had no idea that persimmon trees got so big, that’s one incredible plant. Great stuff Gabe, glad to see another video from you!

    Great tips on the turtle ID's. Like the 30-second listening dealio, I do that here in AZ, learning more about the birds here. Cool idea about the run/nature. I found my runs here in AZ were a lot easier than the mile high city, then I took a trip to San Diego and thought I was superman. Creative idea for a vid, I enjoyed it.

      Thanks! Yeah, being able to ID birds by call can enrich your herping experience too! Don’t have to give up your focus but you can still experience something different. Yeah, I bet it has been quite different from CO to the southwest in terms of outdoor rec! Thanks for watching.

    Nice!!!! Ever see any Oriole birds down there?

    • @naturewithgabe
      @naturewithgabe  3 года назад

      Yes, we get both Orchard Orioles and Baltimore Orioles. Neither are super common but different times of year you can find them.

    Think I heard a Great Crested Flycatcher too in the first listen. Hard to judge through the video.

      Definitely could be one or two species I missed and there are certainly Great Crested Flycatchers around that time of year!
