Thank you my fellow nurse! I'm in a nursing home working and we have NO more masks!

I think there should be a hazard pay for all health care workers. From doctors all the way to hospital cleaners. Is so unfortunate that all these bills are been passed but nothing for the health care workers.

A few things. Unemployment is backed up and a lot of people are not receiving it that fully qualify for it. On the matter of Hazard pay (I am just playing devil's advocate here) Health care providers are always at risk for infectious diseases. However, they deserve the right equipment to take all precautions. I think hospitals should provide life insurance policies related to the risk. The hospital should have a program like the military there is always a risk the employee should pay into it for a year and then the hospital match and pay in for the rest of the time the employee is working at their facility. I'm curious what others think of this?

Point of clarification: California has the strictest workplace safety laws. No other state has the Aerosol Transmission Disease Standard (ATD).
The nurses who are making it into the news are mostly union. Healthcare worker & nurses unions are the only way to have a voice and collective power on the job. We are ground zero and the public doesn’t realize that nurses don’t have guaranteed hours like firefighters or police.
Hazard Pay-yes!! Traveler is making $10,000 a week while staff nurses make RP is not tied to watch somebody else makes or does it make it’s tied to our value and the minute we lose our value and continue the codependent crap that continues to do rail nursing we will continue to have no voice and be exploited like coal miners which is what we basically become and hospitals are the coal mines of the 21st-century
