I skipped school today because I was a little sick and my only friend texted me. "Btw, everyone got together to badmouth you." Now I'm going to listen to you, pretending I don't care about all this. At least I can hear your beautiful songs.
@Mondayisaloser thank you!! I'm trying my best to be okay. Knowing that there's good people outside my daily interactions makes me a little more happy. You are a really kind person that makes me happy. Thank you for making these unique songs ❤️
omg I stumbled on to your video tonight and it literally stopped my world. this was oh so good. instantly soothing like being laid down into a cradle. everything about it the timbre in your angelic voice, the candance of the strumming and the lyrics were so fuking sad. when we hear something for the first time we usually start to think what this reminds me of or what influences you hear. for me I heard little Radiohead in there, some Mazzy Star, Dolores from The Cranberries (r.i.p.), and a few others I cant figure out right now. ive already listened to it three times. great work crafting this together really!
@@s.f.morris7331 thank you so much!! i love all the artists you listed, mazzy star especially so it’s really nice to hear you think i’m kind of similar :)
@@Mondayisaloser you're really good for real. jealous actually after my metal bands were done I picked up acoustic and taught myself some chords. I am a singer too and found it very complicated to play and put my passion into singing cause im so focused on strumming. not easy to do
You leave many clues in your description. The lyrics plead dependency and romantic admiration for the act of being consumed, which comes across as stockholm syndrome. This entity drains the life from the narrator, but the narrator tells themselves it's worth staying around because this person cradles them. Cradle could be referring to holding them like a child or, alternatively, worshipping them indicative from the idea cradle could be referring to a wine cradle. A vampire could use a human like a bottle of wine. This interpretation sees to it that the narrator requests it. Begging to be cradled. Loved or worshipped. The portion about following them into hell is indicative that it's a manipulative relationship. The narrator feels powerless and that it's mandatory to follow them, but alternatively could be saying that they wish the entity hadn't created them. The last part sends it home by specifically saying the entity made them into a beast. More so feels like the victim is gaslighting themselves into saying they're a monster, like their oppressor, in order to keep them from leaving the entity and justification as to why they continue to go back to what's draining their life away.
yayyy!! u picked up on the double meaning- wishing one wasn’t forced to follow to hell and also literally wishing they hadn’t been created. you’ve gotten so much of this song spot on! ‘cradle me’ personally invokes an almost infantile image- like feeling very small and almost pathetic and just begging to be held like a child again, i suppose trying to grasp at some feeling of safety or love even when it’s from the person who’d wronged you in the first place. i like to think the song could apply to most types of relationships, love in all its forms has the ability to change a person. creator could be metaphorical, feeling fundamentally negatively changed by a loved one or it could be the literal sense of family. of course it’s all open to interpretation but it’s interesting to look at it with different scopes
