When does the Yamaha DM3-D start shipping? I've had two on pre-order since May and I'm thinking about canceling them since they've been on back order forever.
Hello, is it possible to use DM3 with RUio16 and insert VST3 plugins in 16 channels or outputs ? It will be amazing if someone can do a tutorial about that thanks
Hi, I have some Shure AD wireless devices, Can I connect my Shure AD receivers withing dante? Can I use the dante input as sepreate input source without occupying my analog input?
the biggest question, is it possible to run simultaneously both 16 local preamps and 16 dante inputs to have 32 channels of audio processing. that would be the catch of this mixer.
Yes there are Dante to XLR adapters for in or output. Also Dante Bluetooth and usb3 variants are available. There is even a PCIe card that can do 1024 channels. It truly is a shame Dante isn't on every piece of a/v equipment... Because yes it does video too. Can you imagine a trinnov surround processor with just a few Dante ports? So much easier... Even Yamaha doesn't use it in consumer A/V ... Yet
Question: What would te latency be in case (if it's possible to use dm3s as a usb "soundcard") for a computer running vst's to distribute the audio to a dante network ?
Already tried virtual soundcard and that + vst's adds up to too much latency... It will be "felt" when playing.. How about the latency when connected via usb to the dm3, using the dm3 as a soundcard for distribution via dante to f.o.h. ?
Dear Yamaha - when using the DM3 with the 1608, can half of the inputs be patched to the stagebox and the other half patched to the local inputs on the DM3? I saw in the manual a patch option labeled "all input" (assuming this means all local inputs) and another option labeled "all dante" - implying there is no way to patch half of the inputs locally and the other half to the 1608?
From what I see, those buttons are just for convenience. You should be able to manually patch it the way you describe by selecting what you want to be patched on the bottom, like Dante 1, then push one of the buttons up top to where you want it to be patched, like mon 1 for instance. That would patch Dante 1 to Mon 1. Hope that makes sense.
New to Dante. I'm confused. The video makes it look like Dante will auto configure if I plug in the DM3 (Dante) directly into the Tio1608D2. This has not worked for me. Does it need to be configured using a network switch like some of the things I've read?
This works as described in the video. Use a shielded cat5e or cat6 for the easy setup. The rear dip switches should be, as a good starting point, set to the factory settings. See the, not totally helpful,Tio manual.
Yesss, had the answer by the yamaha french support yesterday. The tips is that you must make a patch point with dante controler before the D2 32/24 Mount. And of course only 16 in / 16 out. I've to try soon. Thankssss 👍👌

I’m very new to DANTE, I know very little. Does anyone know if for example when recording with a DAW if the signal sent through DANTE is pre or post EQ?
Dont know with DM3 but with QL, using dante over dante virtual soundcard (DVS) the signal goes to DAW post gain, pre everything else. My guess is DM3 is the same.
I got on a waiting list at Sweetwater for the Dante-equipped version (along with some DZR-D 12" speakers) and they said "mid-September." Ugh. I was also wondering about the new "D2" version of the Tio1608 stage box. I have two of the older ones. I bet the new ones can handle the higher 96k processing of the DM3 with Dante, rather than the 48k of the TF mixers.
@@zagatoalfa I might just be further down the list than you… supply chain issues are driving me nuts. I had to wait several months for additional Shure ULXD wireless mics that we needed at our church. Got them just in time for a big school musical, but it was iffy. Seems like a lot of stuff is delayed or in short supply. I’m fortunate that I’m not in a huge hurry for the DM3/Dante. I have a TF1 I can put into service if needed before September.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 I love Dante Brother 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Can two Yamaha DM3s be connected via DANTE to have 32 in and 16 out?
What about 24 or 32 Channel mixer and DANTE INSERTS on channels?
Great Mixer Easy to use and setup. -- Just like the video
Is the 16x16 i/o IN ADDITION to the 22x8, making 38x24 i/o? Or do the 16 Dante ins need to be assigned to some portion of only 22 available channels?
The network cable that permits the functionality @7:10 needs to be at least shielded cat5e.
Question?
Can the DM3 be used as a stage box for DM7? In this video I only hear Ql CL and Rivage PM systems.
Yes, with the 1.5 update.

hey, maybe a stupid question. But can could connect a rio1608 instead of a tio and still have control of the gain from the DM3?
Yes
DOES THE DM3 COME WITH THE SAME PRE-AMPS OF THE TF SERIES?

Dante 16x16bso how u can conect hundrets of other signals?

No, as the mixer is 16 channel only.
@@morsikpl Thanks, that's what I wanted to know too. I was hoping to make the DM3 future proof input wise with Dante, but unfortunately not.
Is there any possible way to add additional outputs through Dante apart from the on board Omni outputs
Yes there are Dante to XLR adapters for in or output. Also Dante Bluetooth and usb3 variants are available. There is even a PCIe card that can do 1024 channels.

With virtual sound card installed the round trip latency is around 10ms plus whatever your VST’s add
Already tried virtual soundcard and that + vst's adds up to too much latency...
It will be "felt" when playing..

Holy shit. I didn’t expect this face to have this voice.

I thought this was a 22 channel mixer what happened to the remaining six channels how do we access them?
it has 3 stereo inputs for fx returns and usb playback, so in total 22 inputs!
Question 1
How many total Tio1608-D2 can be used for yemha dm3 ???
one!
Hi guy's Can i connect DM3 with a RIO3224 D2 ?? Thanks for feedback please.
yes. i set it up with a rio3224-d today

So if i connect dante that makes my 16 channel mixer 32 channels?
No

It might be configurable. The direct out patch point has been variable in most recent digital mixer offerings.
I tried yesterday with my new DM3 dante and didnt get a connection, i wonder why?
When do you think these will hit Sweetwater?
Full compass says Dante equipped will be shipping in June. Don’t know if that’s June 1 of June 30.

What is causing that mic to sound so overdriven? RF? Preamp? Bad compressor?
Piss me off that Yamaha promised these mixers this year only to be delayed.
DONT PROMISE A PRODUCT TO
THE MASSES IF YOU CANT DELIVER!!!! F#%€£¥%#!!!
🙂👍
music is distracting..... just say whats its about ......
LOL I'm always amazed when an audio mixer demo has such crap audio.
The hosts mic sounds terrible. Come on Yamaha.
It took this dude 7 minutes to say nohting.
geeez the vocal audio of these vids is TERRIBLE! - not very inspiring!
You be good at reading children stories. You are talking slow enough sayin nothing.
16X8 I/O is extremely underwhelming with no expansion options. And the DM7 is a budget breaker. I guess we will keep rocking M/X32's and Mackie Racks.
