The Briscoes have done 6 shows so far with GCW , and they're doing a tag match for warrior wrestling on the 12th which has Thunder Rosa and The Acclaimed , Dante Martin, Santana on it , and they're going to be in the Crockett cup again in March in Nashville.
I would love to hear Jim's review of the battle royal on the free pre-show they did on RUclips. WTF was that thing? I felt so embarrassed for Thunder Rosa to be involved in that shitshow.

I remember watching ECW: One Night Stand, 2005 (which was @ the Hammerstein Ballroom) on DVD and Joey Styles commented in the opening match, Lance Storm defeated Chris Jericho, that ECW doesn't use ringside mats to cover the concrete floor 'they made us! Bunch of sissies!' and I was thinking 'why would these guys wanna unnecessarily risk further injury to themselves on every bump outside the ring?'. I thought Joey's take on it was kind of ignorant even though I enjoy his commentary, eapecially, now, compared to WWE & Tony "STING!!!!" Schiavone.
During the battle royale, someone hit a freaking BURNING HAMMER, but the camera cut half way thru to the next entrant, and the commentary did not freak out over such a move.

GCW is a good example of a company that has really good exposure and publicity, but their product sucks. It's cool if you can get a bunch of people to watch your show, but it has to be good. The hardcore smart mark fans, which are an extremely niche audience, love this kind of stuff because they don't care if wrestling is made to look like a joke or not. They are there for car crashes and irony.
The actual wrestling you can debate but I'm loving your buddies' presentation. Sharpen up the work so it's more like classic ROH with a sprinkle of hardcore stuff to blow off the big feuds and you got yourself something.

Now they can get bigger/better names, better venues, better production, etc. yet keep falling back into their old ways that just don’t translate well into being a more legit promotion.
Virgil took that infamous photo of him at a convention with no one around him and decided to roll with it and create this loser character that's full of himself and everything he says is ironic. The smart mark fans love it because they love irony and don't take wrestling seriously. I don't think the character is funny. It's "Olive Garden this", "meat sauce that", and taking credit for important events and talent in wrestling history. Yeah, no. lol I don't think I can ever be one of those marks that thinks this stuff is funny.

Cornette got in the business through Jarrett's grandmother who was a friend of his mother's. Also he worked with Jeff everywhere plus being a part of creative in TNA 06-09

I've actually seen GCW live before. I'm 50/50 on it. I appreciate it being geared for adults and enjoy watching some hardcore wrestling...but it definitely has its flaws. I watched a 5 on 5 cage match and they were busting light bulb tubes over the opponent's heads which looks good but then they're busting them over their own heads right afterwards. So how do I take it serious that they hurt the opponent if they're breaking them over their heads right afterwards? Also agree on the timing issues. Plus some of the matches I saw at the show I went to were a mix of an old school match with selling and psychology, and the AEW Young Bucks matches going 200mph with no selling despite having time for the match.
I was at the show and this is my take away, it was good for what it was, the trios match was awesome, Cardona vs janela was fun and full of fan service but not great as a wrestling match, after that the crowd got pretty quiet... I felt jarret look great for his age and his match vs effy was cool, the mox vs himicide match was underwhelming but MOXley did look good and the best thing about the briscoes vs gage and his partner was gage coming out as a surprise he got a huge pop.... the timing was bad but it was louder in person than it was on tv

If you’re an Indy trying to build a mainstream following, what fan would actually want to admit out loud they watch garbage wrestling? I remember tweeting something out about watching a GCW event for the first time and one of their employees. (Not sure if they were a wrestler or just a standard backstage guy). Tweeted at me thanking me for buying the show and hoping that I’d enjoy it. He was a super nice guy who often interacts with fans so it broke my heart when the show turned to shit. The opening few matches were okay and weren’t overly insulting. Then Joey Janela and Marko Stunt did a tag match against some randoms which was awful. The main event was an inter gender tag team deathmatch. I spent hard earned money on it so I didn’t want to quit at this point. However it got to the point where one woman started to knife an opponent and I quit. It was a waste of money and my time. The same guy tweets me later asking if I liked it and I did the courteous smile and nod type reply because I didn’t want to shit in this guys face since he was kind earlier and wasn’t involved. Safe to say I’ve never seen a GCW show since. The best matches on their shows seem to be the one where actual wrestlers show up and have a wrestling match. Those happen to the matches their fans hate the most. What a travesty that promotion is.

I remember tweeting something out about watching a GCW event for the first time and one of their employees. (Not sure if they were a wrestler or just a standard backstage guy). Tweeted at me thanking me for buying the show and hoping that I’d enjoy it. He was a super nice guy who often interacts with fans so it broke my heart when the show turned to shit. The opening few matches were okay and weren’t overly insulting. Then Joey Janela and Marko Stunt did a tag match against some randoms which was awful. The main event was an inter gender tag team deathmatch. I spent hard earned money on it so I didn’t want to quit at this point. However it got to the point where one woman started to knife an opponent and I quit. It was a waste of money and my time. The same guy tweets me later asking if I liked it and I did the courteous smile and nod type reply because I didn’t want to shit in this guys face since he was kind earlier and wasn’t involved. Safe to say I’ve never seen a GCW show since. The best matches on their shows seem to be the one where actual wrestlers show up and have a wrestling match. Those happen to the matches their fans hate the most. What a travesty that promotion is.
Fuck 'em. They should get real person jobs. Including Moxley.
