Another hidden Gem by ABBA. As you said, nobody has their sound, and they keep pushing the envelope. I am so glad you've discovered (what I consider) the greatest group of all time. I LOVE your channel!!!!
Michael Tretow is a vital part of making the specific ABBA sound. One of the worlds best engineers, that uses all possible tricks, like vocal doubling with the second part slightly detuned, just to give a fuller sound. Amazing guy, and a legend in Swedish music
It would be really interesting to watch a reaction to Hey, Hey, Helen. Without giving anything away, I think it will be an unexpected surprise. Very different and yet very much ABBA.
I first heard 'Angeleyes' by ABBA when it came out in the summer of '79. I was a young man, and the song was a breath of fresh air-a catchy pop tune with an intriguing message. The song is a warning to women about a man with a deceptive nature, luring them in with his innocent gaze, but in reality, he's a player. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA wrote this song, and it's interesting how they flipped the script, empowering women to be cautious of such men. It's a fun, upbeat song with a subtle yet powerful message. Over the years, 'Angeleyes' has remained a favorite for many, and it's great to see it finding new life on TikTok, showing that ABBA's music truly transcends generations.
Perhaps, but it was a face of the hit "Voulez-vous " and moreover their hits Europe follow one another at an almost frenetic pace, they didn't know which titles to put forward. But there are tracks that are not in their "Gold" compilation for this reason, which are nevertheless excellent, too.
Epic! Angeleyes was another masterpiece from the stellar album Voulez Vous. The opening song is “As Good As New.” If you play that one, you will be speechless. When you think ABBA cannot improve upon what you have already heard, you hear songs from the Voulez Vous album and you think- how is this even possible! Their follow up album Super Trooper has a beautiful song called “Andante Andanda.” ABBA song reviews could even be its own RUclips channel. I wouldn’t be surprised if graduate students have studied the group for their thesis.
Jay and Amber, Angeleyes was the flip side of Voulez Vous. Hoping you can listen to my two favorite ABBA tunes: Lay All Your Love On Me and The Visitors. You’ll be amazed by how their sound progressed

ABBA IS AMAZING AND IN THE 80S AND 90S WERE THE MAJOR EXPORT FROM SWEDEN
I remember Abba being played around our house in the 70's courtesy of my sister while I was getting so heavily into The Beatles, always amazing music in our house as I was a kid growing up. Love both bands so much.
There's a great cover version by a band called The Czars, led by singer John Grant. That acoustic version makes you pay more attention to the lyrics, which is quite melancholic actually.
John Grant is wonderful! His version and voice brought chills up my spine. Later, I attended a live performance. I was disappointed that he did not sing Angeleyes. Nonetheless, I absolutely enjoyed his performance. I even ran into some friends of mine.
@@Vates104 I didn't know much about him back then, so when he changed the lyrics to "and I saw you together with a young BOY" and kept the part of "it's a game he likes to play", I was like, hmmm, that's interesting... 😉😉😉
Thank you, my favourite Abba song, this one holds so many memories for me. Hearing this blasting out from the discos along the promenade during the hot summer nights of 1979.
Been waiting for you get to this one ! .. It's easily in my Top 10 ABBA songs, but it is criminally under-exposed to the general listening public .. It's a melodic masterpiece !
Somebody I know said, "There's only one band sounds like ABBA, and that's ABBA." You guys nailed it. Their sound is so unique, their music so well-layered and produced, their voices so angelic. They're a once-in-a-lifetime group.
everyone is finally realizing just what a difference he made on Abba's albums. (including me) But anything Abba does together is like manna from heaven.
Thanks for reacting to Angeleyes, one of my favorites tracks off the Voulez Vous album. Another one to react to is As Good As New from the same album. Also, please react to Lay All Your Love On Me off the SuperTrouper album.
Anni-Frid Lyngstad aka Frida has a solo song produced by Phil Collins entitled “I Know There’s Something Going On” which I hear on the radio from time to time. 🎧👍🏾
Thank you. ABBA is my all time favourite band, but to see your T-shirt with Strawberry Fields on it was so amazing. I am from Liverpool and that place is only a short distance from me. I love your videos. Thank you
Wow friends thank you so much...ABBA put on the radio this song with another hit called "Voulez -Vous" at the same time, maybe their best disco hit ever... Recommend you react to that melodie a lot....
You asked "who produced their stuff" - Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson produced much of Abba's music themselves, often jointly with music producer Michael Tretow.
You guys do the best reaction videos on RUclips in my humble opinion because you genuinely seem to love the music and are knowledgeable about it. It’s very refreshing and we appreciate you for it, so many thanks. I’m sure others have already suggested it but I’m going to add my vote. You must, must, must listen to Thank You For The Music by Abba. It really is one of their best and most iconic songs and as the title suggests, it’s about the pure love of music for music’s sake. You will love it, I know you will..
I forget about this one! Abba truly has no bad songs! And really so happy Jay and Amber to know how much you both appreciate all music, any genre, etc. It definitely opens your world up to so much! Jay, now you need to share all those songs that Amber missed early on with her!!! There were many great ones ... One of my faves Wild Cherry's Play That Funky Music! Top tune off one of their best albums. As someone has previously mentioned in the comments, the first track off this album, 'As Good As New' is sublime - a must listen for you two
Benny and Bjorn produced their own music. This is one of their underrated songs and also a good example of the "One Voice" sound (Abba fans know about this) of Abba when the two ladies sing together in unison. Have been an Abba fan since 1976. Bjorn is pronounced Bee....yorn and Agnetha is pronounced Ang...yeta.

I love the Voulez-Vous album! It's my favorite. You should give all those songs a shot: "If It Wasn't For the Night," "Lovelight," "Kisses of Fire," "Lovers (Live A Little Longer)," "I Have A Dream," and all the others that you haven't heard yet.
Good job you guys, you can't go wrong with ABBA, they have so many diverse but cool songs! , here's a few more to check out.. " That's Me", "Eagle" , "Hey, Hey Helen" , " As Good as New" , "Tropical Loveland" , "VOULEZ-VOUS"... That will work for now , there's still more cool songs!.. I've been a huge fan for 50yrs and they keep that spirit alive.. so good... Got to Love ABBA!..😁.. I got to thinking ... " My Love My Life" , is a stunning harmony song , add that to the list too...👌

Dancing Queen, Andante, Andante, are 2 must songs
Agree andante andante is amazing and really showcases Anni Frid’s vocals it’s one of my top 5 😊
@@dottzie33 it is their most underrated, most sensual song, and I completely agree where you placed it.
One almost too well known (a real staple at karaoke!); the other almost a buried treasure, and one of the sexiest songs ever written...
@@stevetournay6103 I agree but I call Andante, Andante the most sensual song of all time as opposed to sexiest. Regardless, it is brilliant
And TWTIA, OLS, and. And
Dancing Queen is a must!
How Dancing Queen hasn't been reacted to yet, I just don't get it! One of, if not their most iconic song.
The King has lost its crown, another great song from the Voulez-Vous Album
One of my fave ever ABBA songs. Perfection.
It's amazing how they managed to take an emotional song and marry it to an upbeat tune, it's one of their signatures in creating fantastic songs.
This is a top 5 ABBA track, easily. The harmonies at play here are STUNNING. That chorus is solid gold.
You really need to hear "Dancing Queen." Can't wait to see that reaction. 😊
They’ve surely heard it…….even though no reaction yet.
And it’s been so many movies!!
Somebody I know said, "There's only one band sounds like ABBA, and that's ABBA." You guys nailed it. Their sound is so unique, their music so well-layered and produced, their voices so angelic. They're a once-in-a-lifetime group.
Hugely underrated track, in my opinion!
I just can't understand how anyone could not be caught up in this - just pure ABBA glory!
Michael Tretow was the genius engineer on the ABBA albums.
Absolutely!MT a genius , a scient of sound conception.
Michael B Tretow if I may... :)
everyone is finally realizing just what a difference he made on Abba's albums. (including me) But anything Abba does together is like manna from heaven.
ABBA reminds me so much of my childhood as a kid in the ‘70’s & ‘80’s. I remember my mom listening to them on 8-track.
This guy in the town the other day was playing Dancing Queen on a Didgeridoo.
I thought to myself, that's Abbariginal!
tv
Thanks for the giggle!
Badump bump crashhhhh...
Tim vine
My favourite ABBA song!
ABBA are top tier pop music there aren't many better.❤
After FIFTY [ 50 ] years there still have none been better .
🇸🇪
You can't go wrong with ABBA, there's something for everyone.
Mama Mia and Mama Mia Here We Go Again!
Thanks for reacting to Angeleyes, one of my favorites tracks off the Voulez Vous album. Another one to react to is As Good As New from the same album. Also, please react to Lay All Your Love On Me off the SuperTrouper album.
I know I've said this before Amber and Jay everyone can thank Australia for ABBAs success 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Music is the greatest history lesson that one can experience
Anni-Frid Lyngstad aka Frida has a solo song produced by Phil Collins entitled “I Know There’s Something Going On” which I hear on the radio from time to time. 🎧👍🏾
They have reacted to that song
@@Lisa-MAwesome! I’ll have to find that one. Thanks!
Im so glad you did this reaction as this was my suggestion. It’s the one song that is never mentioned but is one if their best!!! ❤
Eagle or My Love My Life must be next! 🤞🏻
I love "Eagle".
If it's Eagle it should definitly be the longer version. 👍
Dancing Queen! You’ve got to listen to that one. This was such a disco anthem back in the day.
Hello, I have another ABBA song for you. It's from the Super Trouper album, and it's an upbeat disco-style song called "Lay All Your Love on Me."
Such a great song, such an under rated song. The harmonizing on it are outstanding a usual. Love this song.
Love Angeleyes -- it's one of my favorites for sure. Glad you picked this one!
Thank you both for bringing back memories for me and opening my eyes to some songs as well!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Watching all your ABBA reactions, i can´t believe you haven´t reacted to ´Thank you for the Music´...
"Dancing Queen" was ABBA's biggest hit!! I can't believe it wasn't the first ABBA song done. I can't wait for their reaction.
I always get a big boost of happiness when I see a new video from you guys! And an ABBA reaction is just the cherry on top! ❤
Love it! Can’t go wrong with ABBA. Great harmonies.
Outstanding track from voulez-vous album should have been a huge hit this is just sheer perfection brilliant never get tired of hearing this after 45 years😊
Top tune off one of their best albums. As someone has previously mentioned in the comments, the first track off this album, 'As Good As New' is sublime - a must listen for you two
AGANT was a continental single in a couple Latin American coundries and a no1 hit single in Mexico. btw.
So glad you did Angeleyes. You have to do The Winner Takes It All for the next ABBA song
Already done three years ago.
ABBA - "Rock Me".
Hi Guys greetings from England 🇬🇧 you really need to check out The Abba Song "THE DAY BEFORE YOU CAME" this was one of ABBA"S final songs and its such a hauntingly,Atmospheric and Beautiful song from Agnetha with such a great video as well its so unlike other Abba songs.
Benny and Bjorn write and produce the ABBA catalogue.
ABBA are now performing on stage again, after Benny and Bjorn put together an Avatar gig.🎉
Proof of Heaven? Listen to ABBA ❤
You can't go wrong...with a bit of ABBA .
One of my very favorite ABBA songs, which I’d never heard until I saw the second Mamma Mia movie - it grabbed me instantly. It’s got one of their most infectious melodies, fantastic instrumentation, and great vocals as always. Pure pop perfection.
" My Love My Life" , is a stunning harmony song , add that to the list too...👌
Glad you guys have been enriched by the music that charmed us like no other generation.
