They are great knives but definitely not designed for torture..I have this same knife and it does work great and the hole for shackles also works well when they are to tight for your fingers alone all in all they are a great knife for there intended purposes jus be mindful and it will serve you well

Poor Opinels...one of my favourite knives...I have nearly every size, including the giant No13. But yeah, they're not a hard use tool LOL.

i wont trust an Opinel!
I think this could be the ideal knife for mountaineering above the treeline, with the light weight and whistle.. Opinels only have one "heavy" part which is the blade and taking just a small bit of the meaty part off saves more than one would think...

That abuse XD! I never have been a fan of the opinel knifes, not saying they are bad. I just personally don't like them! Im happy with my cheap 40€ Damascus Tanto! Damn what a hell of abuse it already went through.....I love the video thats how knife reviews should be!
