The shower screen can also be disassembled by removing the rubbery piece too. You should remove this when cleaning every time but I do it once every couple of times since nothing should really get in there, but just in case.

If you have a small jeweler's screwdriver, use that to gently pry. It will come off. The cover sits in a groove, so I think that's where it's getting stuck. Next, you will see a spring with a red rubber piece attached to it and a gray rubber piece. I took a picture of their placements. With tweezers, take the spring out. Do the same with the gray piece but be careful, the glass ball is in that hole. Examine the gray rubber piece. There's going to be two different size holes. The big hole faces towards the glass ball when you reinstall the coffee maker back together. I hope this works. My Picopresso now works as advertised. When you knock out the glass ball, use a towel to catch it. This little fucker will roll into the next dimension if you don't. It's also really hard to see.
Yes I agree. I gave this a go just for future reference. If people pry that plate out like he suggests they're going to have a lot of damage plates I fear. The video doesn't actually show him prying it out.
Have not tried it myself yet but maybe put the unit in the fridge overnight. Many materials shrink as the temperature drops and this might help to loosen the plate
Haven’t used my picopresso in months and now it’s leaking water at the bottom of the piston pump arm as many others have commented… emailed picopresso support but a quick googling of the issue shows many other youtube videos with this problem/reddit threads. Looks like it’s a quality control issue…. I’m furious, I loved my pico presso and now it’s shit the bed 😡🤬
I am on my third unit with the first two failing the same way. My third one is now failing also. They were replaced under warranty but would not answer what the cause was. The third unit showed external signs of design change but I do not know whether anything internal was changed. I pulled apart the first unit and found that there is a single hard type plastic seal for the steel piston which I suspect is the cause of the failure. If Wacaco want to leave it as a non user serviceable part then they need to address the durability of the seal. Alternatively make it a user serviceable component. Would only require some simple design changes to do that
Unfortunately, this cleaning had no effect at all. I did it twice but the picopresso still doesn't build any pressure at all. 😔 Is there another possible solution?

Press with the torx screw driver on one side and it should pop up. You can carefully place it into one of the holes if needed and pry it up, but it should come up with some pressure without damaging it.
Just disassembled mine today to. You definetely need to take the torx screw driver, stick the bit into each hole and gently pry, when you get the last hole, stick to that one and use the hole as leverage to pull up on the piece. There is no other way of doing this. In the video they show it just popping out on its own, you're going to need some calm and collected elbow grease to get this thing out. It will come out though and there wont be damage. This process actually fixed the issues I was having with my press. Thank you so much for putting out this tutorial.

I’m using beans ground at 14-15 on the exagrind, but I’ve tried all the way up to 20 with no luck. I have even tried using the beans that I use for my minipresso, which gives me beautiful shots every time. I think I may have got a faulty product
Hey, guys, So I managed to get it out and the caches and the black plastic. It takes a lot of strength. I picked up each screw hole with a screw driver and started to turn the cover sideways. Careful I gently damaged the screw holes and avoided the black cover. It just didn't work without damage. Then everything followed as in the tutorial. I cleaned and screwed. Everything looks ok. And I don't recommend doing this if you don't want to damage the device. It still makes good coffee, but you can see that the plastic is not good anymore and the whole maintenance in this way is very precarious. The plastic pen didn't work and you know how metal behaves to plastic, it just damages it. First try to tighten the screws down and then also in the water bottle.When you take off the rubber cap, there are two more screws (he showed in the video when he pushed on the rubber part.). So good luck with that. I hope that the next version will be as easy to maintain as the Minipresso NS2 - There you can disassemble everything without screws and I disassemble it regularly.
It's a rule of thumb when there are self tapping screws into plastic that when you screw the screws back in, you have to make sure you're using the same thread rather than cutting a new thread, otherwise you destroy the plastic. The way to do this is by turning the screw backwards (counterclockwise for right hand threaded screws like these) until the thread drops into the precut threads in the plastic, and only then screwing them in.

手柄漏水的问题，我认为通常是密封老化了，照它另一个视频拆开手柄，换上新的密封脂或换一个硅胶圈就好了。我的换了8*14*3的硅胶平垫圈，密封情况比新机到手时还好，用了一个礼拜了，压力过大情况下也没有漏一滴水。
手柄漏水的可能，一：水仓中的鸭嘴单向阀、如果我预热三四次可能会有几滴水从那里漏出来，我那台的鸭嘴阀已经相当老化裂开了，不清楚新的会不会。二：剩下只有手柄的密封圈了，所以换一个就好。如果你用得没我那么多（一年半1500多杯），可能换下密封脂就可以，我买了HotoLube的净水器密封脂。
经过这一轮大修、拆装了十几回之后，我认为这台小机器应该用到3000杯，三五年的寿命是没问题的。

@@DanieloBack I resorted to vinegar, and I now rinse thoroughly after each use and set it to dry upside down. This cleared up the dreaded dribble.

How to solve for -if there is leakage from the pump , small amount of water leaks when I pump, pressure is there but water comes out of pump side
