  • G'Day Guys,
    I decided to upgrade my OEM tyres to All Terrain! Here's a video about it. In case you are wondering, I am not sponsored by Falken I paid $800 AUD for the tyres in Sydney!
    Hope you enjoy it,
    Cheers, Paul

    Hey Paul. Great vids mate and good to hear your comments on the van. The new Hiace got hit pretty hard with bad publicity when they first came out . Never really trusted the reviews, so good to hear positive comments from an owner. Was hesitant at first but now easing out of our 2016 model into 2021. Looking forward to it now. Good on you for that and enjoy cruising around the countryside in yours. Great life.

      Yeah now the speedo is accurate! Changed it by 3km/h I think.

      I haven’t felt like i needed it Jenny for the places I like to go I don’t need it. Many of the dirt roads are hard packed with corrugations so by releasing the Tyre pressure it does me ok.

    Hi Paul, loved your review and other vids. I used to sail sailboards in the 80s and 90s and used to sell and use the original bomb proof Ezzy Wave sails. I'm interested in your tyres as I just fitted out a 2020 HiAce my daughter bought 3 months ago. She has moved to Tassie. reckoned going a higher profile tyre to improve ground Clearance. Do they scrub on the inside of mudguards or come too close the front upper control arms? Do they have a tread wear index on
    the sidewalls?

    • @windsurfer
      @windsurfer  3 года назад +1

      Hey Greg, sorry for late reply. That's awesome that you used to windsurf and use Ezzy... you must be cool like me! 😛
      The tyres were test fitted by Tempe tyres in Sydney and they gave me the all clear. Make sure you get the 225/75/16 size. I think that's as big as you can go. They don't scrub the mudguards and I don't have any info on upper control arms but they haven't caused me any issues. There's no tread wear index on the side walls, just the main tread itself.

      @@windsurfer When you're down near Toukley on the Central Coast next try Soldiers Beach for NE wind and leftover Southerly swell or Pelican Beach just south of there. Also Toowoon Bay in big swells so you can get out to the bommies offshore Miss those years of sailing down there with my mates. Now have 2 total knee replacements and live at Lennox head. Don't know how Jason Polokow does it, he's been around a long time, must have bionic knees. Thanks so much for the follow up on the tyres mate. Good luck with your channel.

    В Австралии очень красивая природа! Но я знаю что там очень опасно. Змеи,и довитые пауки и крокодилы. У нас в России нет опасных животных. Только тигры стали уже в города заходить. Нападают на домашних собак. И едят их. А убивать тигров нельзя. За это могут посадить в тюрьму. Есть еще дальневосточные леопарды. Но увидеть их в дикой природе практически невозможно. Они очень скрытные.
