My time has become increasingly limited so I started caring less about games that I don't enjoy much and only play ones that give me enjoyment. I may return at some point if things greatly change, but tbh I don't even want to support blizzard and their mindset anymore. Not when there are so many indie developers putting in 20x the effort
$70 to BETA test a AAA game, everything you have said is 100% correct. This game is an insult to it's loyal customer base, just pure incompentence. 7 years and 9000 devs, this is the best they could do. It's obvious they cared far more about monetization than gameplay, it shows. Like a giant pimple on Lilith's forehead. They chose to make it open world, to sell more skins... It makes the gameplay worse. Yes world bosses are cool but few and far between.
Probably would’ve been easier to say why you liked about the game lol! On a serious note I do agree. This game was not complete on release. Through gaslighting the devs are using players to complete the game imo, seasons are betas and they hope you spend money while you test there game.

I don't completely blame the devs, I'm sure a lot of it was also because of strict scheduling set by shareholders, CEO, directors, etc this is why I've just been playing a lot of indie games recently lol
#42 is a big one for me. There are no wild or crazy moments even though the demonic nature of Diablo has so much potential for moments like these. I made a video recently on this topic as well, we have many similar gripes with the game. It is a shame to see a great franchise like Diablo be treated with such little effort, and unfortunately due to the way Blizzard works, I don’t expect much more from them. Either way I got a decent amount of enjoyment at the beginning of the game, it’s a 7/10 for me that could’ve easily been a 10/10 if they tried.

I listened to this twice while playing Diablo 4 and you made a lot of great points! 00:04:37 The recent 1.1.1 patch from two days ago increased the monster density in Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons. 00:27:47 My movement speed is 135% and I outran the lightning protective dome and got hit a lot times. Bad design. On its Wiki movement speed is said to be capped at 125%, but it's actually 200%. 00:26:11 I actually enjoy the risk of losing half of Cinders. The chests in Helltides are supposed to be rewarding your efforts of participating. I haven't received really great gear from chests, but it could just be an RNG issue. Some solutions to make Helltides worthwhile: 1. Offer better gear from chests that would make Helltides and the risk of losing half of Cinders really worthwhile to run. Open a chest and offer a selection of gear like amulets you can choose from. A one minute invincibility dome would spawn to protect you from monsters until you made the choice. 2. You die and have a time limit to run and touch your ghost which will return a certain percentage, like a third, of your lost Cinders so at least you have a chance to regain something.
Losing half the cinders wouldn't be such a big deal if it didn't take the entire event to get 1 or 2 boxes, but when you get all of em and scratch your leg then die from a bomber you missed, it feels terrible haha

Thanks! Diablo was a huge part of gaming for me so to see it turn into this made me quite upset and I had to give a comprehensive list of everything I didn't like. Hopefully they keep making improvements
I had mane of the same issues with the game. I also found to have more fun in D3 than D4. The Legion Invasion loosing half my currency on death was a final straw for me (especially after they increased costs of opening chests). So just uninstalled the game and will give it few months/years to get good. Till then GW2 keeps me entertained and there is new expac coming out soon :)
I agree with everything, a big downside for me was when i realized that necromancer summoner wasn't really viable. I really enjoy summoner based classes, but the moment i entered tier 3/4 the summons became just tanks and thats it. Not to mention the severe limit on the amount of skills you can have is also just depressing.. have 6 skills, in a game like diablo.. just feels bad, especially when 2 of them are the summons themselves.. It's sad how the game turned out in the end... I have 2 other friends that played the game and stopped playing because of the same reasons you gave.

The Unyque's in D4 SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK and SUCK SOME MORE !!.. The stats, affixes are CRAP.. What is a Barb going to do with ice, freeze crap ?? In Guild Wars 2 the Legendries are AWESOME with some nice GFX effects. The effects in this game is boring as hell. What the devs do is "force" you to die. Like its the only way for the enemies to kill you. Seriously boring on so many levels. The maps is SO SMALL !. One minute your in the desert the next minute you are out of the desert.. Once youve done the main campaign there is NOTHING to find or do ingame. No exploration at all.
For this game to be worse than the original, which released in 1996, is beyond inexcusable...you have the luxury of having all that work that precedes you to build upon...and from competitors alike... not to mention the tech. What a joke..
Agree with all! Also, there are 3 levels of item quality, the codex should apply that level of power once learned. Saves bag space! So many flourishing opportunities lost... 😢

Problem with higher mob density is that there is much broken stuff in the game that just insta pops you without you getting anything to do to stop is that morr mobs litterly make most Nightmare doungen modifyer so unbeleaveabel undoable that it become not fun anymore to deal with .
D4 is too slow, That is the main issue for me. World is far bigger than D3 and yet the movement seems even slower than D3, That contributes to what is already a ridiculously slow xp grind and makes it feel worse.
PoE is great, just difficult to get into. I've also heard good things about Grim Dawn and Last Epoch. There's no need to hold out hope for Diablo with better options out there.
A lot of your gripes, probably all of them, are things they did on fucking purpose to waste your time. Having to run around more and re-do waypoints and having vendors spread out are just a couple examples. I haven't played it. I'm not going to throw away $80 on this complete shit-show of a game. I'll wait for POE 2.
