Definitely not surprising considering how well Felix was serving and that Rafa himself hides a little in these practice/exhibition matches. He’s got a feel for grass now, and lost this one in two tiebreaks without getting his serve broken so very encouraging signs really. Just needs to get through that first week grass and play himself into form by the time he has to play Cilic/Felix/Matteo on the worn out grass.

Good prep for wimby this exhibition match. Whatever the.outcome is rafans should be.positive that he is always doing his best to comeout with his perfect play. Itd bèen a longtime that he didnt play.in grass so understandable that people may not have higher expectation for him. But it remains to be seen. Lets just wait and see if he survived on the first week if that happens the third wimby is in the bag but if not there is nothing.lose rafa has already 2 and us open is coming.
Maybe nobody can win them all.
Its a matter of fighting, believing and.most of all perfect health. Rafans concern is he.will.be injury free and hid foot will be ok throughout the tournament. Win or lose we love.rafa nadal.

Was he that fit and high level at those tournaments though? I mean. 5 setter vs Shapo in AO, 5 setter vs Medvedev that would have been a Medvedev win had he not gotten tired. RG he had a 5 setter vs Felix, Djokovic who somehow won a set where Nadal had double break and Djokovic got tired at the end of the 4th set serving for the set. Zverev was better than Nadal but choked set 1 and 2 though still had a chance in set 2 tiebreak but then got badly injured. Ruud he dominated 'cause well Ruud had never been in a Slam final.
I think Nadal has played well this year but nothing crazy, I think the luck has helped him.

The first week is always tricky, specially if you have big serving guys in your draw. It's tough finding rhythm on grass quickly, specially if you playing after 3 years. The grass is also a lot quicker. If Rafa's able to find his footing soon and goes through the next week. He will legit be much more confident about his game tbe grass will become a lil slower. He'd have a real solid chance. Finger crossed. Vamos my champ
