    Which is the way you usually start your job search? Do you have a job hunting plan or strategy? If you've ever used one, has it been useful to you?

    I have a question: I will re-join a medical research lab (I left it because of visa limitation which happened 2 years ago). Two weeks ago, I have a zoom discussion with the lab boss about the position and he is very glad to have me in his lab again. He said the next step is for HR group to approve and open the position and I can formally apply for it. But so far, I haven't seen any new job poster or been contacted by any HR representative from this organization. Am I too eager? Or I should wait more time? How long does a job poster need to be generated before it could be seen online on average? Thank you!

    • @myemmotion
      @myemmotion  4 года назад

      Two weeks is enough time for the job posting to be created and up online, if it's all approved. In this case it might be taking longer due to headcount limitations. Unless the position is approved by the company management, HR can't create this listing. The role might be contemplated in yearly headcount but if the department or company budget doesn't not allow it, they will hold it off.
      You could send a nice follow up email, saying that you've had a great feeling about the meeting and asking if there are any news about the role, since you haven't seen the listing online.
