Oxford High School students, parents speak at shooter's sentencing

Several Oxford High School students and parents who were victimized by the shooting in November 2021 gave victim impact statements during sentencing for the shooter on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023.

The impact statements were powerful- but the dynamic that Madison’s his mother showed on how his actions have affected their whole family dynamic- and how they were in disbelief…I’m keeping them all in my prayers.
Avery’s bravery and honesty- I seriously hope this child can make changes because it is a broken system.

Usually in cases like this they will charge a criminal with a smaller crime just so they can get them in custody and begin interrogation without the possibility of the suspect being able to escape. It’s a very common tactic
