Black people can say what they want about each other because racists stereotype them. If you get offended because a Black person comments on another Black person that’s your problem. No crime was committed. I never hear people ask, “why is it always about race” when people make disparaging remarks about Black people - why don’t you speak up then? But let someone Black commends another Black person and you have a problem. Typical.

Ah, indeed, the wisdom of our legal labyrinth never ceases to amaze. Here I was, naively pondering the cosmic irony of counting days in a sentence that spans eternity. But, of course, it's all about the principle, isn't it? Credit where credit is due, as they say-even if it's akin to offering a lifetime supply of ice cream to someone who's lactose intolerant. How silly of me to question the profound logic that ensures every day counts, even when 'life without parole' seems to make counting moot. Truly, an oversight on my part, a blip in my otherwise flawless logic. Thank you for elevating my understanding with your, shall we say, 'enlightened' perspective."@@Petersonmgee

Life without parole has been ruled out by the US Supreme Court for persons under the age of 18. I don't know why this judge would issue that sentence "without parole" at the end of it. This case will be resentenced. Not saying he doesn't deserve to be there forever, but the Supreme Court already ruled on this. Unless this was recently ruled differently in the SCOTUS, under law, that sentence can't stand.

Michigan was the first state in the US to abolish the death penalty. It was abolished there in the 1800s.
Edit: Kevin is spreading misinformation below. Michigan has never used the death penalty. The execution of Tony Chebatoris in 1938 was federal and was carried out at a federal facility. His execution was not up to the state of Michigan. Michigan abolished the death penalty in 1846 and has never reinstated it. The 1963 ban had nothing to do with the 1938 execution, and was simply an additional ban on executions for treason, which had never been used.

HIS ELDERS and parents who put that powerful weapon in his hands were to blame, but the parents walked away scot-free! I hope this trial will change that precedent.
